"Kashi and I were separated from our mother at a young age, so I don't really understand the attachment. I am not attached to anyone so that is why I can't understand. It sounds nice though. Perhaps I should make this room more comfortable for him, then. Though I'm not sure what else to do." Ipo frowned again, confused. "I do not understand him, but I have had little time to speak to the Master if it is not about Kashi."

"Oh no it's all right! Trust me there is no need to apologize. We were too young to know, we were only raised by other servants and maids. I am fine, though I am unsure about Kashi. He seems to have an unhealthy obsession with our prince." And chuckled, listening to Leo say the prince was nice and easily accepting. Leo must have been happy, he was smiling again. He always smiled when talking about Elliot. "Perhaps. What shall we do then while we wait? He said it wouldn't take long."

"If I were with Kashi I'd be telling him to put the master's things back, and I'll watch him do so. When he comes back I'll have to remove some of the master's things from his pants, wash them and if the Prince asks about it I make an excuse on how Princess Martha stole them." Ipo sighed, well more of a groan of failure then a sigh. "It's so terrible, Kashi's obsession. He's really nice and he really does care, he'd risk his life for the prince's in a heartbeat. he just has an unhealthy obsession. It's a small one, he's gotten a lot better since he stopped being his personal servant." Ipo was looking away as though trying to convince himself it was true. "Kashi always makes the prince a bouquet."

Ipo gave a weak laugh. "I would hope you don't act like my brother. I am not accustomed to stripping women." And continued to chuckle, blushing faintly at the thought. Heaven forbid Ipo did that, Elliot was already so protective of Lily that if Ipo was found stripping her. His head would be on a pike! "I can't draw, but I sculpt and do pottery. It was what I was trained in while in Kasp. That and it was common, Kasp is known for tableware, sculptors, fine china. If one does not know how to use their hands you are thought to have been an abused child. I can make a water pitcher. However we have no clay. Perhaps I should try my hand at drawing, then. The prince must have paper in here somewhere."

Ipo stared at the paper and pencil, unsure how to hold it properly before settling with it in his fist. Ipo was like most servants, not taught in reading or writing. Now how did one draw? He'd seen people sketch what their pottery would look like, but he himself never sketched. Brown eyes just stared at the blank sheet before looking over at Lily's, and there were sketches of the princesses. "You are marvelous at drawing." But his attention went to her hand, slowly readjusting his own grip and slowly starting to draw. He'd draw his brother. That should be easy enough.

After twenty minutes and enough crumpled paper to make a tree the hare was on the floor, crumpling and uncrumpling his failed drawings, merging them together, taking them away, ripping them and continuing whatever artistic process he was going through. The floor around him was a mess, bedroom door opening revealing the commoner clad prince, eyebrow raising. "I see we're studying the arts."

Ipo shot to his feet. "My prince! Sorry! I was, thinking, um, sculpting, no. I'm terribly sorry!"

Elliot shook his head. "It is quite all right." And walked over the paper and sat down on the bed, pulling his lantern onto his lap. "It was much more stressful than I imagined. I had forgotten my lantern so I wasn't sure if I was keeping my-" He paused. "Nevermind. So what are you two doing?"

Elliot took the drawing, the scratching of paper on the floor being made by Ipo as he cleaned. "this is a lovely drawing, Lily. It actually makes me happy." he chuckled, stroking the boy's hair. "You forgot yourself, however."

"May I make a comment?"

"You may."

Ipo shifted nervously, holding scraps of paper in his hands. "It's really more of a incredibly personal question." and the perking of Elliot's ears made him flinch. "You know, perhaps-"

"You have started, complete it."

"Well, Lily is a bentien, and we were talking a day or two ago about being a bentien and how they could never be happy and their Master was their world." Elliot nodded, giving a sound of agreement. Ipo was worried, the man's face was entirely blank. "Why is that? Are there no bentiens that have ever been happy? None have fallen in love or gotten married?"

"I know of no other. Now go finish your craft in your assigned room." And the hare was quickly out, silver eyes following until the door was shut. "So much different then his brother. Come now, we must sleep for tomorrow, and the rest of the week. So much ice, this will be their last harvest and hopefully I can somehow make it better." He stood, undressing. "How are you, by the way?"

"I do enjoy it. I shall be away from them for a while. I pray they don't get into mischief while I'm away. Father and the Prime Minister will no doubt put them in their place." The prince finished changing into his night clothes, sitting again on the bed. "Was he keeping an eye on you or you on him? He can be as troublesome as his brother on occassion, his curiosity, for example." But Lily offered her services and Elliot gave a small smile, ears lowering slightly. He reached out and pulled her onto his lap, hugging her and holding her close. "Not tonight, Lily." because right now she was a bentien.

"That is fine, Lily. I do not mind." But at the mention of Kashi, Elliot chuckled. "I cannot help but be kind, I worried for a while about him once he was removed. He's incredibly sensitive." Almost as sensitive as Lily, but Kashi probably had his brother's insanity mixed with that sensitivity. Ipo lacked the sensitivity.

Elliot briefly kissed Lily on the lips, resting his forehead on her chest. "I'll sleep. I have work in the morning. An entire season's worth of harvest is on my shoulders." He chuckled, allowing Lily to move before laying on the bed, looking at the ceiling. "A song would be nice, just come lay next to me." and sighed, trying to ignore the thoughts rolling around in his head as the other sang. An entire harvest, checking ice, making sure it melted properly. He'd seen their lands on the way in, and while they certainly weren't scarce, the prince sighed. Loslith was becoming a greedy city.

With his worries and Lily's song thrown into the mix Elliot did fall asleep, though there was little doubt his dreams would contain work, the sandy color in the lantern very much proving that, streaking through the white.
