Thought it might have been like a 90% chance it was you, but anyway, who taught him who they were and what powers they have?

He wanted to play with you, out of everyone. You are the one that encouraged him to take an intrest in something. He likes them more because of you. He might have a hobby in the future, a reason to read and pick up complex stories.

I want to think something like this.
But when I do I think "Well when he's twenty something and can't get a job or gf he can thank you for ruining his life."

1. You can't blame yourself for that, all the other influences beside you would screw him up worse. 2. By reading and being able to understand complex plots, he will be able to read better in general, which may make him more intelligent, thusly he'll have better options for jobs. 3. He'll have a hobby that could give him an outlet, an escape from his everyday life, making him more stable than the rest of his family. 4. Comics and nerd culture are far more accepted today than ever, and it will continue to be in the future, so he'll have more people to relate to and more women will accept his hobby and might even share the interest, since they seem to love the manga anyway. He might find a manga reading chica. 5. By having an elder appreciate his hobby and encouraging it, he'll feel like it is normal and not feel like an outcast like so many nerds do. 6. If all else fails, he might be able to support himself with an online fan base of doing nerdy things, buying and selling comics and memorabilia, or tech support. In any case, it's better than him being a gang banger.

Did I ever tell you that on Halloween he was Spider-Man? He ran to my room when he came over to my place first, he had to let me know that HE IS SPIDER-MAN! he's not even three and he did the pose with his hand. his oldest sister Mariah was Batgirl.
it's like...damn he's destined for the nerdy life. His first Halloween, he was Darth Vader...he wasn't even ONE YEAR OLD yet and he knew to make the 'wooojjj' noises with the lightsaber.
You're right all this would be much better than being a gang banger. Tons of little ones in my fam right now already are destined for it.
...manga reading chica?

That is adorable. They are already destined for being nerdy or gang bangers? Yeah, the girls are going more towards manga and anime these days, so they are easier to relate to nerd culture.

Gang Bangers. No eight year olds should be playing Modern Warfare 2 all damn day.
A lot of them would not be nerds cause they see being a nerd as something to be ashamed of.

A lot of people look down on manga and anime today, they could relate to thier art form being looked down apon. So many people don't take things seriously if it's drawn. People need to read the rating system.

True. Though I'm not a big fan of the Japanophile people that think that things from Japan are gold automatically either.
