Mala nodded. "I'll have it done, even if it takes awhile." she agreed, falling silent once more after that. Of course, Mala realised that this was easier said than done.

Van also fell silent for a bit before a thought struck him. "Ooo, I can't wait to hear Atius' take on this..." he said dreading their eventual meeting moreso than usual. "That stickler's probably going to have words for me for pursuing a romance with a mortal." he said rolling his eyes at how stupid Atius' rules could be.

"He's probably just jealous anyway." Van said with a grin. "I'm handsome, active, pretty much free to do as I please, and no longer single." he said with the slight air of a slightly enlarged ego. "He's stuck on his stupid throne up there with looks that no sane woman would touch. I'd probably want to seal me away too."

Mala snickered. "He's got the eternal life, doesn't he? It's his own damn fault that he's in the shape he's in." she mocked Atius mercilessly, most likely trying to compensate for all of those blind years worshipping the undeserving god. "Knowing him, he probably would try something if he can help it."

"If it helps, should I try and keep a barrier that wards off against magic?" Mala asked, despite doubting that her magic would help. Even if Atius is a bit of an a**, she didn't doubt that he was still stronger than her.

"I wouldn't doubt that he'd go right through it with no trouble, so that shouldn't be the only line of defence." Mala warned, not yet getting the implication that she would certainly fail. "Also, defence aside, I'd like to spend a bit of time with you before we even try anything with the other gods - if it can be helped." she then admitted with a small blush, averting her gaze now.

Angel was humming, happily walking as she held Riley's hand, and then she squealed and threw herself to a pretty flower, then returned to Riley and offered it to him shyly. She didn't have a crush on him or anything, but she did like him. The flower was an offering of friendship.

"I know, we've still got a ways to go anyway." Van said with a small smile as he placed a small kiss on her head.
"Oh, uh, thanks." Riley said taking the flower in small surprise, partly because he didn't know what to do with it, and partly because he was unaccustomed to personal relations with a female outside of his sister.
