Jakiel kept a straight face as he ate, and with the manners of a noble, no less.
Halfway trough the meal, though, Jack spoke up. "Actually, I'm thrilled that your son and my son are such good team. I was afraid that he would never find a lab partner!"
Alice nodded, smiling. All she was eating was a small salad with hydrangeas leaves hidden in. "Yes. I remember their first sleep over! They were so excited. I hope he can stay over more often... Jakiel is so quiet when it's just me here..."

When they got to Terry's house, dinner was already being made and it smelled delicious. "Mom! Dad! I'm home! I also brought Zeke with me!" Terry said grinning.
"I'm glad my son has made a good friend." Alex's mom said smiling. "Hopefully he'll find himself a girlfriend soon." She said with a light chuckle.

Zeke introduced himself with a smile, then a bow. "Thank you, for allowing me into your home!" He stood up back up.
Jakiel couldn't help it, he gave a light chuckle before forcing it down and taking a sip of water. "Ah, yes. Alex has been vital in becoming my...friend. I desire to become a scientist like my father. Alas, where he has my mother, I had no one..." His eyes gleamed in wonder on how Alex's parents would react.

Terry smiled as his parents shook Zeke's hand. "It's nice to meet you." His mom said smiling. "Dinner is ready. tonight is chicken and dumplings." "My favorite!" Terry said a grin on his face. He pulled Zeke into the kitchen and sat at the table eagerly.
"I'm sure you'll find a nice girl too. After all you and Alex are both good looking." She said smiling. "Thanks mom." Alex mumbled.

Zeke nodded his head and walked to sit next to Terry. "Your parents are really nice. And the food here smells just like home!"
Jakiel's smile disappeared. "Actually...I was wondering if Alex would be my assistant. He shows a natural curiosity during our chemistry classes, and he's already helped me solve a problem with my current experiment." He grinned. "I'd be thrilled to show you once it's complete."

"that's beause our moms are both good cooks!" Terry said happily. As soon as his food was placed in front of him, he started to eat.
"Well of course he can!" Tina(Alex's mom) said smiling. "so you want to be a scientist huh?" she asked Jakiel.

"I can agree to that." Zeke said with a smile as he plate was put in front of him. "Itadakimasu!" He started eating.
"Ma'am, I don't want to be a scientist. I am a scientist. Assertiveness is a key characteristic to possess in any profession!" Jakiel stated before returning to his food.

As soon as Terry finished, he asked for more. 'Thank you!" Terry said and started to eat as soon as he got more.
"Well that is a good career." Tina said smiling. As soon as dinner was over, Alex went home with his parents, who expected him to go home with them. The next morning, he met up at Jakiels, ready to go to school. "Is it Friday yet?" Alex asked.

Zeke also asked for seconds, eating heartily.
Jakiel let Alex go home with his parents, not wanting to upset them any further. The next day, he was laboring over a book on neurology, an apple in one hand. "Sorry, it's Thursday. But look sharp, Friday is tomorrow." He took another bite out of his apple before handing it to Alex. "Want a bite?"

"Hey Zeke!" Terry said smiling as he went over to his house. "Ready for more testing?" He asked smiling.
Alex groaned as he took the apple an took a bit. "By this rate it's gonna take forever to get to Saturday." Alex said biting into the apple. "Ready for school?"

Jakiel chuckled. "No, it won't. Because I'll make you forget about the passage of time." He closed the book, stood up, and stretched. "I suppose so." He pulled his shoes on and threw his bag over his shoulder. "Your parents didn't badger you about anything did they?"

"No thankfully." Alex said as they began to go to school. 'I told them I was gonna be staying at your house this weekend and they were ok with it."
Terry chuckled lightly and took Zeke's hand. "ou are very optimistic. I like it."

Jakiel smirked. "Good. Then we're still on for the hot springs. "I really like this one, because the don't question who you come in with like others do. They keep your business there private and locked behidn doors. What happens in that hotel, stay in that hotel..."
Zeke blushed and scratched the back of his head. "Y-Yeah... I woke up this morning and felt that something great was going to happen today, and it did!" He smiled at Terry. "I got to see your face this morning."

{Sure. We'll start with the train. I have an idea, where they all end up on the same train. However, Zeke and Jakiel will NOT meet up. But Alex and Terry will, without realizing who the other is. Then Zeke and Jakiel end up meeting at the hot springs, and then Alex and Terry discover who the other is and such... What do you think?}
Jakiel nodded. "Yep. And the best part is, since not many people know about it, you can come there and relax in peace. I mean, it's in the mountains, few folks come that far..."
Zeke blushed a bit more and laughed. "Y-You really think so?" He smiled, feeling happy for the first time in a long while.
