Taki sighed and drooped his head. "Umm, ok, what would you say if you happened to find out there was a secret group in here that was planning to overthrow the higher ups?"
He looked up and gazed at Kisa seriously.

Ralef nodded. "Very true. Anyways," He nodded at the nurse and went back to fiddling with the machine. "Hmm, i wonder what will happen..."
The nurse went over Kai's straps again to make sure they were in place and then pressed a button under the bench. With hum it started to lift up so that Kai wasn't lying flat anymore.

Kai watched the laser get closer. That's very B grade horror movie he thought, making himself smirk despite himself. As gravity began to affect him, however, his hurt leg began topush against teh strap, trying to get down but failing. Kai shut his eyes for a second as he felt teh new pain.

"I'd tell them to pull the other one." Kisa said dully, looking at Taki. "It's been tried before." She told him. "And they failed too. People died and things didn't change at all."
She sighed and rested her head on her knees. "There's no point in trying, Taki." She told him. "They'll always catch you and the result will never be good. Leave it."

Taki's eyes widened. "What? Hey? me?! Ah-ah i don't think so..."Actually i have no idea what i've been left in charge of...
He snorted. "I'm fine doing what i'm doing, even if it means putting up with brats like Kai."
He blinked. Wait...Kai... "Oh dear."

Ralef smirked to himself smuggly.
Well he was until the machine stopped.
He looked over at it. "Eh? Wasn't someone supposed to check this?" He sent a glare to everyone else in the room. They all shuffled around, not meeting his eyes.

Kai tried to shift where he was strapped to take the pressure off his leg. He found a very uncomfortable position that semi-worked. "What's wrong?" He asked. "Laser me already."

Kisa looked up. "Oh dear?" She asked. "And why did you ask me about a resistance movement if you weren't thinking of one?" She asked after a second, letting go of her leg's and stretching them out, unable to find one position where she was comfortable

Taki blinked. "Um, just becuase i remember some things about someone i used to know and er," He looked around for an explanation before he remembered Kai, "s**t! And i have to go save, i mean, get Kai before Ralef blows him up. Excuse me."
He nodded and walked out of the room quickly. He looked around the hallways to check for anybody, and then sprinted off to the labs.

"Shut-up," Ralef snapped before examining the machine again. "I swear all you have to do is press this button," He scratched his beard in thought, "Or was it that one? I swear i read the manual!"
He looked around for a second and then shrugged. "Ah, it can't help to try." He reached out to press a different button.
"Don't touch that button Ralef!"
Ralef blinked and turned around to find a panting Taki. "Keiji? What the hell are you doing here?"
Taki took a deep breath and starightened up. "I've come to take Kai to a cell like i was ordered."

Kai looked up when Taki came into the room. "You took your time!" He said grumpily. "Get me down from here!" He tried to struggle against his bonds to prove his point but only ended up slipped from his precarious position and falling suddenly on his leg.
Kai let out a yell of pain and gritted his teeth as a warm tickle began to run from his wound. He glanced down to confirm the blood. "s**t." He muttered.

Kisa blinked before shrugging and hopping off her bed, going in search of Sacha.

Taki raised an eyebrow at Kai. "So sorry," he muttered sarcastically.
Ralef glared. "Well, i'm not finished yet."
"Yes you are." Taki looked over to the machine. "You weren't intending to use that were you, you old fool? You know it's a prototype and not needed."
Ralef glared at Taki, his mouth pressed into a thin line. Taki smirked. "Exactly what i thought."
Taki snapped his head around to look at Kai when he fell. "s**t," he muttered and quickly moved over to Kai, knealing down in front of him. "Kai?"
Ralef glared at Taki's back. I'll get you back soon "You'll pay for interrupting me commander."
"So?" Taki retorted, "And you'll pay for what you did to Kia." He slung one of Kai's arms over his shoulder and helped him to stand up, carrying most of his weight. He narrowed his eyes at Ralef, "That's a promise."
Ralef put his hand over his heart in mock hurt. "But whatever did i do?"
"Do?!" Taki snapped, "What did you do? You killed her mentor in front of her, did god knows what experiments on her, not to mention harras everyone that comes through here, and on top of all that," Taki's eyes got darker, "You were the one who came and told me that she was gone and you were smug about it."
He looked down at Kai. "Come on, we're leaving now."
Ralef didn't say another word, he turned on his heel and stormed out, intending to find Balcov.

Kai tried to keep as much weight off Taki's shoulder's as possible, mostly holding himself up with his good leg. He looked over and eyed the Lazon carefully. Ralef had had no idea what that thing would do to him and yet he had been prepared to use it.
What do they want me for? He wondered, looking back down at the ground again.
"Do you know what he's going to do?" Kai asked Taki, referring to Ralef.

Kisa looked at Sacha's door apprehensively. She shook herself crankily. She'd never been apprehensive about seeing Sacha before. She checked the hallways to make sure no one would see her and quickly let herself into Sacha's room using the key he had given her long ago.
She closed the door as soon as she came in and scanned the room. Lying on the bed was one big lump. She smiled softly as it shifted to reveal a head poking out of the blankets.
"Fayina?" Sacha asked sleepily.
Kisa nodded and tilted her head indicating toward the bed.
Sacha sighed and lifted up one side of the blanket, beginning to shiver as soon as the cold air hit him. Sacha had never liked the cold. It was his pet hate.
Kisa smiled and crawled in beside him. As soon as she was comfortable The blanket went down.
Kisa lay with her back to Sacha. "Why did you react that way when Taki came?" She asked the wall.
"I didn't react in any way." Sacha told her firmly, hoping she'd drop it.

Taki sighed and began to lead Kai out into the hallway. "I really don't know. I haven't been here to lurk around for months." He thought for a moment. "Actually i haven't really been here at all since i became commander."
He looked down at Kai. "And i'm guessing that they'll do everything but kill you."
He looked aorund the hallways and then motioned to his left. "Down that way is our first class cells. Lovely steel walls, and a cold, dark environment await victims down there."
He turned and started walking in the opposite direction.

Kai blinked confused. "But didn't that weird guy tell you to put me in the cells?" He asked, looking back over his shoulder. As much as he didn't want to go there he didn't want to get Taki in any more trouble than he apparently already had.

Kisa rolled her eyes and snuggled into Sacha. "You reacted in a way." She told him.
Sacha shook his head and wrapped his arm around Kisa's middle. "No I didn't." He told her, wrinkling his nose. "I had to leave so I did."
"Then why did he act the way he did?"
"You'll have to ask him." Sacha told her, smirking. "I'm not going to tell you."

Taki shrugged. "He may have. Look, if you really want to go there, i don't care. I pity you," He narrowed his eyes at Kai, "And so i'm doing something nice, got that? Trust me, i don't normally be nice to people, you might want to take advantage of this opportunity."
He continued walking down the hallway, away from the cells.

Kai chose to ignore the comment about Taki pitying him. As much as he wanted to hurt Taki for even considering pitying him Kai recognised that he probably wasn't going to get any other sort of help.
"Where are you taking me then?" He asked, tentatively trying to put weight on to his bad leg.

Kisa pouted and rolled over so she faced Sacha's chest. "He's no going to tell me." She whined, looking up at Sacha.
Sacha shrugged, and odd contortion for someone lying on their side. "Then I guess that you'll never know, hm?" He asked, smiling at Kisa.
Kisa blushed. She had miss that genuine smile of his that only she was privy to. No one else ever even got to see him smile let alone one that was genuine.
She pushed herself up a little bit further so their lips met in a chaste kiss before pulling away and snuggling into Sacha's shoulder.
Sacha stiffened looked at Kisa. We shouldn't be doing this. He thought, his old argument gaining new weight. I might not even be me tomorrow he thought ruefully.

"The only place i have a key to," he said simply.
"And trust me, you'll be thanking me for not putting you in the cell because, unfortunately, you'll most likely be spending the rest of your life with that worthless excuse of a human, most commonly referred to as Ralef."
He thought for a moment.
"Unless some miracle happens and you get rescued."

Kai stopped walking and untangled himself from Taki. "Do you mean that you know that I'm going to have whatever that lunatic wants to be done done to me and you're just going to let it happen?" He asked, frowning. "I'm grateful for your help, I am." He said, resting his leg on the ground fully. "But I;m am not someone to be pitied." He glared hotly at Taki, ignoring the pain in his leg. "Now, I can appreciate that you don't think you can do anything but you must have some way of going against Biovolt. You don't seem to be happy here at all."

Kisa sighed when she felt Sacha tense. "It's ok." She soothed. "I promise that it's going to be fine."
Sacha frowned. "You can't know that."
"Of course I can." Kisa said seriously. "I just wish that we had a little bit more time."

Taki looked over at Kai and blinked. "True, your right. I don't like it here at all. Been that way ever since i got here." He shrugged. "And apparently, the person who is most likely to know how to get out of here is...well, dead i think. Unless, you can come up with any bright ideas."
He sighed and turned away from Kai. "Come on, being out here in a hallway int he middle of the night is going to look suspicious."
