"I have not insulted him once." Harata glare was a terrifying sight to behold. After all, she had learnt it from the Sentinel, during the war. "I have jested with him man times, been sarcastic, yet never once insulted him. And he is his own person, not belonging to you or any other person. The truth, and how people are, is something they rarely ask for. Don't criticize what you don't understand, girl." The shaking had stopped now, and she was no longer red. Her voice, however, was still raised.

Feline turned her head at the sudden commotion that came from below deck. She wondered for a moment whether the Overseer would need help, but then decided that if he couldn't handle two women in cramped quarters then he deserved what he got. "I guess in all our own ways we are each lost." Feline looked to the horizon and then half laughed. "War brings strange times indeed. I had half hoped you'd be able to help me get back home, but I guess I am now stuck here for good." She sighed and waited for the boat to make it's way back to shore. She didn't want to leave just in case something did go wrong and the Overseer needed her help.

(( I have a bit of delay since I am updating the event thread I threw out there for the wolves )) The shouting was very loud in the cramped quarters, and there really wasn't an easy way back out with Harata and Eve standing there. So he turned back to studying the controls, his muscles tense and his jaw clenched as Harata lectured them and Eve returned fire. But if she was not going to tell him how to get the boat started, he was going to find out on his own. It only took a little trial and error, and the engine sputtered and coughed to life. The boat rumbled and rattled, and using the most obvious controls, he carefully nudged the throttle. The big slow boat jumped forward and then stopped. "We're ... anchored! Someone pull the anchor!"

((and cue me jumping in from nowhere, seeing as how this is the best place to start....and sorry I didn't read up to here, I don't have enough time to read pages 17-61 before Christmas sweatdrop )
"Ahhh, sweet, blessed cold, I thought you would never come, " Xeiashi said to nobody in particular as he left his house. His fellow Bartonians -or something like that, not enough time to look it up- were out and about, bustling through their miscellanious jobs. Of course, it wasn't quite full winter yet, but any amount of wintery cool was welcomed by Xeiashi, who was born and raised in a cold locale. After his moment of rejoycing, he remembered why he left his books in the first place, he needed to pick up some fish; he had recently read a book mentioning delicious fish, and desperately wanted to try it. After making sure he had his cash and emergency book with him, he set off for Bass'ken Lake to catch some himself. -yeah, he carries an emergency book incase he gets bored-
((sorry for the short opening, I need to be in bed, on penalty of no computer for a week, right about.....now))

Harata sighed, and stood. "Could you move over there for a quick second?" She sighed, then shrugged, and reached around him, pressing a button. The anchor raised. She then sat back down, glaring at Eve.

The Sentinel looked up at Feline, curiosity shining in her dark visage. She lost interest in the water in front of her.
"Are you not one of the Gaian people?" she asked slowly, wonder dawning in her eyes. She was finding this person to be more interesting than the other three. And much easier to converse with.
After her revelation, though, there came the sputtering of the boat's engine. When the boat seized forward, the Sentinel was thrown of balance, her arm slipping off of the rail. She fell sideways, dazed from the suddenness of it.

The Overseer squeezed to one side so Harata could hit the correct button, and he studied it for a moment. Sure enough, she must have been knowing what she was doing after all. Cocking his head to the side, listening carefully to every little noise the boat made, he could hear the grinding of another electric motor, and the rasp of chains being winded up. He checked over his shoulder, but there was still only Harata and Eve.
Ready to get underway already, he gave the boat a little less gas this time, and it inched forwards, bobbing over the ocean waves. The island wasn't difficult to find, and he turned the boat towards it and edged up the throttle, until they were cruising at a comfortable speed for him. Although it was much slower than the boat really could go, and it would take longer than the ten minutes.

 Evelyn
Evelyn rolled her eyes at the girl.
“I claimed him as my demigod, as you claimed the Sentinel. So I suppose you’re right in a way, he owns me more than I own him. But that’s beside the point. The point is, Harata, you’re attacking him. Not physically, with your words. And it makes me sick that someone could not give another person enough credit for feelings as to hurt them when they’ve done nothing to deserve being hurt.
“But I’m sick of this conversation.” Turning, she began to address the Overseer. “I am so very sorry, Benevolent One.” She attempted to curtsy, but her ankle gave out underneath her weight and she fell down the few remaining stairs. “CLAM BUCKET!!!” she screamed, hitting the ground. {{Sorry for the delay!!! I had a screaming parent to attend to.}}

Feline was thrown against the railing as the boat surged forward. Boats were such strange contraptions, she hoped she didn't have to get back on one anytime soon after this ordeal was over. "No, I am not." She replied to the Sentinel, "I was pulled here while casting a great spell in my homeland. An explosion happened and I awoke later in a bush on the edge of the battlefeild. I had thought that my magic had some how connected to your portal and that was what had brought me here. But since you have too lost your powers I guess I'll never truely know how it happened." She sighed a little, lost in memories. "But I am not the only one to have lost things in this war." She said, and turned to look in the Sentinel's dark eyes, "To lose your memories, seems to me the greater tragedy."

(( Way to leave me in the water ))
The whole time, Bapp was treading water. There was barely enough space on the boat to feel comfortable, so Bapp took to resting on the anchor chain while the conversations onboard went on.
"Well, there aren't any S.I.N.ners in sight. It's not a trap after all." He gave a dissatified sigh as he pulled up his heavy pants, soaked up with water.
As the anchor rose, Bapp sat on it and watched the water as the boat began to move.
"Hey... this is pretty slow." --- ---

Harata, too, rolled her eyes. "You need to get that bandaged Eve. Come over here if you can. If there's room." She stood, and reached under the coffee table, pulling out a first aid kit. "What happened to it anyway?
