Gab was still trying to make himself as small as he could, "What was that... Why was he like that..."
Aislin and Barick finally came into the front room, "What happened?" Aislin asked hoping no one would notice her red eyes and slochy face, "What is Gab doing cowering on the floor?" She pulled away from Barick to scoop up the still shaking dragon, and cooed to him, "You're okay, baby boy... I'm here..."

Mana smiled nodding to Lydia. He looked at kir relieved, he hoped nothing could happen.

Kir heard what Gab said and put his hand over his eyes, hugging Lily tighter. He was hurting people. That was the only explanation for everyone's reactions.

"Shh..." Lily tried to soothe him. She lightly rubbed his back, in between his wings. "Kir was experimented on at the Academy to be a weapon. When he's activated, that's what he's like," she explained to the others.
Lydia looked around Mana at Kir. She was worried for him, but didn't think there was anything she could do for him.

Gab curled himself tightly in Aislin's arms, "That power... That power was wrong... It was warped.... It was scary..."
"It's alright Gab..." Aislin petted his back, comfortingly, "It's over. Kir wouldn't hurt you... You now that, sweet babe..."

"That's the kind of thing the Academy does to people," Lily said, hoping that kir wouldn't get too upset over this.
Lydia's shoulders drooped. If Kir's power was like that, then so was hers. She looked down at her feet, like she was ashamed.

Kir sniffed and slowly pulled away from Lily. He tried to smile for her, then let her go; kneeling down before Lydia again. He brushed some hair from her face and hugged her close.
Core watched what was going on and understood that Kir and Lydia were their trump cards if they ever went to war.

Lily smiled at Kir when he pulled back, then let him go to Lydia.
Lydia looked up when he touched her face. She then hugged him back, figuring he might be upset by what Gab said, as well.

"I'm sorry, Kir." Aislin said still rubbing Gab, "When a Dragon hatches, they give birth to new magic. In a sense they are magic. So Gab is very sensitive to all kinds of magic. I'm sure your magic wasn't always warpped. You must have been a very powerful Mage."

Lily let out a quiet sigh at what Aislin said. She knew about how he had been conditioned since he was a very young infant.
Lydia looked a little confused by the exchange Kir and Aislin were having. What did she mean by a powerful mage?

Mana looked at Lydia and Kir. He wasnt sure what to say or do at the momet. Mana smiled at the touching father daughter moment staying out of the way until he was needed.
