While Sydney placed her grimoire down on a table, then opened a black velvet piece of cloth. The redheaded mage opened it up on the floor, grabbed her grimoire and stepped down into the interdimensional hole.
Rogue's jaw dropped staring at the improbable occurance hearing the red garbed mage rummaging around in the dark hole, "Okay, this is too much like somethin outta Bugs Bunny. Somebody said somethin about TV?"

Cat looked around at all the stuff, her eyes gleaming, and then leaned in towards the computer and turned it on before picking up one of the latest magazines and starting to flip through it. Soooo much techology... soooo little time...
"So," she said absently, "How are things going on the outside? Or do I not want to know?"

Reaper casually glanced out of the small room and into the hallway where Rogue was standing. "Oh, not a whole lot since the last time I looked." Reaper replied. "Most of the heroes are missing, the villains haven't seemed to notice, and..." he continued, then trailed off.
Oh...
The city had been invaded? Had he been that distracted with Cat that he hadn't bothered to notice?
"...um...nevermind. It appears that a group has taken advantage of it." he said, glancing back over at Cat.

"Communist robots or something like that." Reaper replied, scratching his head. He didn't have any duplicates in the city, and was drawing simply from what other copies had overheard.

Rogue's eyebrows shot up, "Soviet Super Soldiers?! Ah thought that Russia's a republic now. So, how bad is it?"

Reaper paused a moment, trying to collect as much as he could. His duplicates were supposed to be finding heroes, so they really hadn't paid much attention to what else was going on.
"...I think they've invaded New York." he replied. "Had to have happened after I brought Black Cat back."

"Dang!" Rogue exclaimed, "An nobody's stoppin them. Maybe Ah should go out there."
...
Syd rummaged through different tomes and books, looking for any reference about the being who has Dr. Strange. Then, the archmage grabbed a small hexagonal metal box and opened it -- one side flaring out in star points. Then, she fitted the shape onto the mechanical lock on an ancient metallic book with Egyptian hieroglyphics and opened the tome.
//Would Sydney find anything about the being that has been grabbing heroes?//

Reaper shifted. "If that's what you feel is best. The younger Spider is out there, as well as a few other heroes the were not on the list." he replied.
Although...that wouldn't be a bad idea, would it? If the majority of the things were robots, it would be perfectly fine for him to trash them, wouldn't it? Meh...best for him to stay in here though. Just in case.

((Sorry, lovelies! Uh... Yeah. Sydney would see quite a few things that could have done it; most of the things that he tangles with are incredibly heavy hitters. Some of the bigger names are Mephisto, Dormammu, Shuma-Gorath, and Satannish, all of whom have universe-ending power. Saph, I'll deal with Alcina in that thread.))
Cat blinked, obviously growing a little agitated at the idea of a Spider being in danger... even if it wasn't her version. The little guy was so cute! "Maybe I should go out, too," she said casually, "Mr. Demon has other things on his plate, and it sounds like everyone could use the help."

Reaper looked back at Cat a moment. "You should be safe to go back out. I have a duplicate keeping an eye on him at the moment, and he's nowhere near Earth at the moment."

She smirked at him, the expression darkly amused at his choice of words, and... maybe... a little flirtatious? "Good enough. I'll be back to play with my presents when things have calmed down a little." Then she looked down at her jeans and t-shirt, her face showing mild irritation. "I guess I should go change." Maybe she could stop by her apartment and pick up some other clothes, while she was at it. She started to slip away, then thought better of it, grabbed the magazine, and continued back to the room where she'd left her costume, flipping through glossy pages as she went.

Reaper kept still in his seat and watched her walk out of the room. After she had disappeared from the doorway, he turned around in his seat and sighed a bit. He was half tempted to ask the other woman if it was warm in here. But...the way his heart was acting at the moment, it was probably just him.
Damn it, what was WRONG with him? He hadn't felt like this since...since...nearly twenty years ago.
Shaking his head, he decided to try and keep his thoughts off anything of the past and occupy himself. He could send out duplicates to help Cat and the others. It would be better if he stayed here himself.
Plus side...he had plenty of entertainment now.
Standing, he moved to slip his DVD into the nearby player and flipped the large flat screen on.

ENTER from Surrounding Areas of NYC
Gold Star and Spider-Man appeared inside one of the lounge areas of the Sanctum. Star's eyes widened as she looked around the room. Ok, yeah, the place was real. And packed with stuff. A few really nice looking stuffs! Wasn't the time for that though...not what she was here for...had to be good....
