[awwww.... I like Alphonse! I just had no clue what to post to him before right now. If you really want to pull him from the rp though, I'll not use the pose. But if you want, I'll pose to try and keep Al around. Your call, Dae! ]

Lillith stops when she hears Alphonse, and turns around, as if just now realizing he was there. "Alphonse?" she asks, and walks quickly to catch up to him. "I'm sorry, what with Tommy and Dawn, and..." and the fact that she very nearly died, but she didn't want to bring that up... "I didn't know you were here. Are you alright? Where are the others?" she asked with more concern and care than she had just shown Tommy a moment ago.

((In the quickest mind change ever, I let Kathryn talk me into keeping him. xd ))
"Am I all right? All women are utterly mad... of course I am alright. But the others are scattered. I only know where My son, his new beau and Nathaniel are." He had yet to learn, of course, that Nathaniel had also taken off. Knowing Lillith would not long be deterred from going after Dawn, Alphonse changed direction to suit that purpose. "I had come out to find you, the twins and Alexia. You've seen the luck I've had so far. I cannot help but wonder if I am making the right decision here. My son is leaving this place. Should I not be doing what I can to make the path before him even a little easier? Instead I chase women." The last he says jokingly and even chuckles. "Ignore my rambling; I seem to enjoy the sound of my own voice, non?"

Lillith smiles at Alphonse, and then gives Tommy a meaningful look, as she grabs the engagement ring that is on the necklace around her neck. "I think that Mallory will be fine, Al. Sometimes, when you love someone, you have to let them go. Time changes people. If he needs your help, he knows that he can ask for it." she offers. "Dawn is... having a bad moment. She ki-- she brought me blood so I could live, and now she feels horrid about it. I want to go and just hold her and tell her I'm sorry she felt she had to do such a thing for me. But at the same time, I'm scared that her mind might have broken over what she did."

Alphonse nods. "She killed someone." he corrected gently, though he knew Lillith had meant well by sugar coating it. "I fear it will do no good to try softening the blow, as they say, mademoiselle. She feels horrid because it is a horrid thing to do. This I know. While I doubt she and I have much in common, I can tell you truthfully that no amount of euphemism could console me the first time." His eyes seemed almost to dim as he remembered the first time he had killed. Recently free from his sire and no longer receiving blood from her, he had gone far too long without feeding. The result... Again, he began to worry for Mallory. The boy only fed reluctantly, under coercion. If he starved himself as Alphonse unthinkingly had, if he lost control of himself and killed someone...
Alphonse tried to convince himself that Lance would not let that happen. And when Lance tired of Mallory, or Mallory tired of Lance, Alphonse would just have to hope the boy would come to him. Or maybe... blossom on his own? Perhaps avoid the mistakes Alphonse had made? He was a bright boy, but he was naive, too. Alphonse shoved these thoughts to the back of his mind, focusing instead on the child he wanted to help now.

"She killed a father, Alphonse." Lillith said, her voice tight for wanting to cry. "A man, with a family. To save my life." she wrapped her arms around her torso, as if trying to comfort and hug herself. "Now there is a family without a father out there, and all because of me. One person, who doesn't have children to take care of, whose parents are leaving the city. Was it worth the trade off? One lousy singer who can't protect herself? That life was worth the life of a man who had a family to take care of? What will become of that family, Alphonse?"

"Do not ask yourself if you were worth it. I am not so arrogant as to say I have the answer. And no answer will change what is done. That family will have to go on without him. It is a harsh truth." Alphonse spoke much more gently than he had to Nathaniel, but he was still very firm in his response. "And here is another harsh truth, ma belle. This man has left behind his wife, his children, and now you. The last thing he ever did with his life, willingly or no, was to extend yours, oui? If you feel for him, then do not squander his last blood by wallowing in misery. We survive. And perhaps, if you feel a great debt to this man, you may hope to repay it to the others he leaves behind. Regret has very little use if it can not spur you to repent."

Lillith listens as they walk and nods her head. "I've got a good amount of money stored up, if I can get back to the other side of town and the bank hasn't been burned down yet. I should take most of it and just drop it on thier doorstep or something." she says. Her step falters and she grabs Alphonse to keep her balance. "I can't follow her anymore. She's too far, I can't smell the man's blood from her clothes anywhere. And my body is still trying to heal."

Alphonse nods and stops to put an arm around Lillith, bracing her somewhat. "Hopefully some time alone will help her come to terms with her actions. If you like, we can go back underground where you may safely rest. I do not know what you mean to do about your male friend", he says referring to Tommy, "Shall we round him up as well?"

Lillith looks back at Tommy and hesitated. "He's... my dead fiance..." she whispered to Alphonse, her voice indicating that she didn't know how to take the fact that he's supossed to be dead, and not, still. She called out to Thomas from over her shoulder. "We are going to a safety tunnel, Tommy. You can come with us if you want." she offers before looking back at Alphonse. "Let's go, Al.'

I wanted to move but my feet obviously didn't. Her kiss was unexpected, not to say that it wasn't absolutely delightful, just unexpected. Of course I kissed back, probably harder than she had expected, too. When we were finally finished all I could do was stare. The way she kissed me hadn't been intoxicated or anything, more like a raw passion of sorts. I stammered a little about having to find Lillith, but couldn't hear the words come out. For this reason I wondered if they even had. She just stood there smirking at the idiot she had just made out with, giggling a little to herself.
"No thank you." I said, stopping her short in mid sentence. I glared at the both of them, suddenly bitter by her remarks about how I felt for her own safety. "I have other...things to take care of." I said, suddenly remembering the world that Lillith was asking me to leave behind, the world that I'd discovered upon my "death". "I suppose I will catch up with the lot of you...later."
I mindlessly searched the city for one of them. I thought of Asher once more, a little pained by the heartbreak he'd soon endure. Any reasonable person would say it was the beer that would be the cause of my absolutely irrational need to find the people I wanted to see least. Maybe it was true. Maybe I was crazy. Oh well... I thought, about to jump from another building to check out a group of people for someone I might recognize...You only live once.

"Very well. Off we go then, mademoiselle." Alphonse says as he gently leads Lillith toward the tunnel. Alphonse decided to ignore how lively Tommy was for a dead man. It hardly seemed to be any of his business. Instead he concentrated on escorting Lillith without further injury. "What has happened to you, my dear? How have you come to be in such a state?"
