"Ill let you get some rest. You must be tired after what happened." Nightshade got up and walked to his old rafter looked at the things he had left here.

She stayed still for a moment, then crawled up and rested her head on the pillow. Zai put her mask on, not wanting to fall asleep with out it. Almost instantly, she fell into a very deep sleep.

Nightshade knew that she had fallen asleep. He could feel when people where sleeping in his scales. He gabbed his staff and broke it in two not wanting anything that had to do with it. As he broke it swirls of black magic escaped from it. It seeped into his blood. He had a feeling that all the powers of the staff he now had

Zai walked back in after Nightshade took her, laying down on the couch, she reached for the remote and started playing My Revenge on the World by Ayria. She then called out to Nightshade who had not yet entered, "Oy, why ya care if buisness goes bad anyways?"

"Cause i dont want you to get killed. You have been more then friendly to me and if anything happened to you i wouldnt know what to do." Nightshade said as he walked in and sat down. He grabbed the broken staff and pulled out his book.

Zai looked at him for a moment, then pulling out a black eyeliner pencil and compact, started doing her makeup. "Ya would still have the kid."

Finishing with the black eyeliner, she added powder. "Hm.... 'case worse comes to worse, in the third drawer on the right, in the metal desk in my room, there's some files and stuff.... for the kid." Now putting on some pink lipstick, she glancing back at him she asked, "Got that?"

Closing her compact, she put the makeup on the small table beside the couch. "Listen, I just killed someone directly earlier today. I've done it before. Add all the people who's deaths I am connected to by providing the means, have they been good or bad, were still living things like you and me." Zai slipped her mask on after putting on the lipstick, it didn't matter if it showed or not. "We'll all eventually pay what we owe..." Reaching up, she let her hair down, which fell lightly with a few dreads covering the right side of her face. Her voice grew softer. "When that happens, ya need to let it. Might be years from now, or hours, who knows." Turning to him, she continued, "I'm gonna kick the kid out, already set up a few job interviews, if he wants to work, at the library and stuff. Safer for him to be with ya, yeah, much better."

She shrugged. "Didn't notice, you don't really pay attention to those things when your getting full body-slammed into a brick wall, ya know?" Zai said calmly, rolling her eyes a bit. Of course, she couldn't tell him, buisness and 'friends' are suppose to never mix up in her opinion.
