Caleb took out a flask filled with a deep yellow color powder. He also took out a beaker filled with a clear liquid. "This powder is a compound of gold and another element. This liquid is an acid." He poured the acid into the flask as gold power went to the bottom, but something dissolved into the the acid. "Obtain and identify the other element, the give me the balanced equation for the compound."
((I mean faise as face.))

Moé cleared her throat, and then went over to the acid, inhaling its odor in a large amount.
"That... urrggh.. is hydrochloric acid, its odor threshold being 7 mg/m^3... and the solid is gold chloride."
She felt [and sounded] light-headed.
"Dissolving gold chloride in chloroauric acid is often used to separate gold from other compounds... urghk..."
She raised her hand.
"...it's AuCl3 + HCl --> HAuCl4."
She paused.
"I'll obtain it in a second. It's just that... my eyes and nose... are burning..."

"But, the gold did not dissolve." Caleb corrected. "It collected to the bottom and did not bond to the hydrocloric acid. The correct equation would be AuCl3 + HCl --> HCl + Au."

Moé sighed.
"And I was so close, too... ah well. Thanks for correcting me."
She flinched, and then placed a hand over her face, and another over her throat. This lasted for a couple of minutes until she was healed.
"That must be pretty concentrated..."
There were some burn marks on her hands, but she didn't mind.

"Now.." Caleb took out a small, waxy white cube. "I am going to tell you nothing about this one. Change it into its separate elements. And I will promise that after this there will finally be a change in the problems."

Moé looked at it.
"Its waxy white color reminds me of phosphorus, but... I don't know how to go any farther..."
She looked down at her hands, and shrieked somewhat that they were decomposing from the acid.
"E-Excuse me..."
She found, and ran over to, the sink, and washed off her hands with soap and water. To heal her burn wounds, she began to lick at her hands, and then had to wash them again because they felt nasty from her slobber.
"It's funny," she thought out loud to herself. "To heal others it just requires a touch from a pinky finger, but to heal myself it takes tons more..."
She groaned.
"Now my tongue tastes like soap...!"
She walked back over to the cube.
"Though, I don't know what to do, really."

"Melt it down, do a acid test, check its density." Caleb named a few more tests. "You have all of the utensils needed. I am only here to supervise."

Moé took out a beaker of water, filled it with about 2 cups of water, and then measured the density of the cube.
"The density is 2.08 g cm^-3, so it has to be phosphorus sesquisulfide. Not only that, but it resembles it."

KurimusonChishio Draconis VonTrapp ~*~*~*~*~* Hmm... What kind of instrument DID he want to play? He wasn't even sure. He closed his eyes for a moment, and the image of... something came to his mind. He wasn't sure what it was exactly, but it was somewhat light in weight. On his shoulder... Draconis made his way towards the closet, grey eyes still closed, and felt his hand warming up. The closer he got to his instrument the warmer it got, and then his fingers touched something cool, and he opened his eyes.
A violin? His brow crinkled, and he lifted the lightweight instrument, placing it on his shoulder, under his chin. Yes, this felt right. He peeked his head out the door and arched an eyebrow.
"I think I found it." ~*~*~*~*~* Kurai smiled at Draconis. "Yes you have, now come on I'll show you how to string it and the notes. Then again you might already be able to feel the notes. If you can't that's ok I'll teach you, plus you need to learn how to read music." Kurai headed over to her books and grabbed a beginners book on playing the violin.And heads over towards a stand. "The violin is the instrument of lovers. An instrument that inspires the heart to care and is used to help thouse afraid admit how they feel." Placing the book down she sat in one of two chairs infront of the stand. "So is that you?" ~*~*~*~*~* Draconis walked back over to Kurai, examining the violin like it was a UFO. Well, it was to him. Hm. An instrument of lovers...? I'm not exactly a lover, but okay. "I suppose," he answered vaguely with a shrug. Really, he didn't understand himself much at all these days, so it wouldn't surprise him if he turned out to be schizophrenic or something. Seeing as he knew next to nothing about violin or music, he figured he'd just go with whatever the teacher said and accept that as fact. ~*~*~*~*~*
