Elanyen: She looked at the adult, acting just like a little one. It was refreshing, and got her in the playful mood as well. Her tail started wagging itself, almost without Elanyen's notice. She hadn't gotten to play with anything besides butterflies, so a game of tag sounded wonderful. She tensed her body before she said anything though, pretending to still be considering the idea. And suddenly, she yelled, "All right, catch me if you can!" and bounded off across the meadow, running one way and then the next.
Tag was always more fun when it went back and forth though, so Elanyen didn't try too hard. She ran towards one end of the meadows, and only noticed a fallen tree as she was just about to it. Knowing that dodging and running around it would likely get her caught anyway, she spun on her feet and faced Calder, trying to find a way to run past him without getting tagged.

Calder laughed and darted after her. He let her lead the way, waiting for a good time to pounce. He came to a halt when she about faced, his tail swishing behind him. Was it her turn to be it already? Letting a grin cross his face he started in to get her.
Across the field a ways, a small form was sneaking its way closer to the playing Talaye, a grin on it's face.

Elanyen could bet that it was unlikely she would get past Calder without getting caught, but the fun was in the chase. She lowered herself to the ground as he came nearer, lurched with her body to the right and then twisted in an attempt to jump to the left. The slippery grass made it nearly impossible to get enough traction to do anything more than flick her wings and tear up the soft dirt beneath her feet. She felt Calder's body against hers even before she fell. It was irrelevant whether he had tried to tag her or not, since her back running into his definitely counted as tag.
Before she really realized what was happening, Elanyen was rolling with her back on the grass, her sides splitting with laughter. She hadn't had this much fun in a long time, and she was going to enjoy it! She did try to roll off of Calder though, since she didn't want to hurt the poor guy, "S- Sorry!" She shouted through her laughter, "I- I must have s-slipped! Ha!" The dark Talaye was completely oblivious to the lurking form across the meadow, and would remain that way until something vast drew her attention away from the fun at hand. For one thing she was now it, and as soon as Calder started away, she would have to concentrate on giving chase, that is as soon as she could stop laughing enough to run...

Calder was already on his way, legs working to get him away. He took a glance over his shoulder, keeping an eye on Elanyen. However, not watching where he was going, the running Talaye was quickly eating grass. He'd managed to trip over the one other Talaye in the field.
He'd done his best to get the hell outta the way without giving away his position, but unfortunatly that hadn't stopped the dark Talaye from tripping over his rump. Sitting up, he glanced at his painful rump to the face planted Talaye. That had to smart a lot more than his rump... "Oops."

Elanyen was laughing gleefully as she chased after Calder, but she also wasn't really looking where she was going. It was hard to see straight through her watering eyes though, between the laughter and the wind rushing by, her eyes were pooling with water. This meant that instead of gracefully avoiding the dog pile, Elanyen tripped over the hidden Talaye and then again over Calder, making hers the worst smart of them all, "Ow! Who put that body there?" Despite the pain in her right front leg which took the brunt of her weight, Elanyen was still laughing hysterically, probably more so from the hilarious situation that had taken place.
And then the body spoke, "Hey! Who are you?" Flipping over and getting to her feet, though a little tenderly, since her right front leg hurt worse than she thought, Elanyen still wagged her tail at the new comer, "I didn't know anyway else was around!"

Calder picked himself up to look at the new Talaye a bit disapprovingly. Tearing his gaze away from the small blue jay, he glanced over at Elanyen. "You okay?"
"Sorry!" he apologized, ears folding back at the big black and blue Talaye's gaze. "I'm Harper." he greeted, moving toward Elanyen, should the male Talaye be cranky. Farther away, his ears perked at her. "I didn't get you hurt did I?"

Elanyen was delighted at the idea of a new playmate, though running didn't sound like a splendid idea right away, as the adrenaline wore off and her leg ached some more... She kept smiling though, dismissing the new Talaye's apology with a gentle smile, "It's nice to meet you Harper! I'm Elanyen, and this is Calder." Elanyen butted her head against the black and blue Talaye's shoulder, trying to keep him from being grumpy.
At both of the males' concern, Elanyen shook her head, "Oh, I'm fine, I'm sure, my paw just hurts a little bit, but that's expected after tripping over both of you lugs!" Her face was full of delight despite her teasing words. Elanyen smiled winningly at Harper, accepting the male's movement towards her, since Calder didn't seem to like the new talaye much.
Wanting to start a new subject other than the pain in her leg, Elanyen looked to Harper, "So what brings you to the meadow today?" Her ears perked forward, hoping to encourage the new talaye to feel comfortable in her presence.

At Elanyen's head butt, he chuckled a bit. For now, the little Talaye would get off easy. Somehow, he just knew this kid would be underfoot. Quite literally he was sure.
Chuckling embarrassedly at being called a lug, Harper's tail wagged. "It's a pleasure to meet you!" he grinned. "Both." He'd added the last part on so as not to rub Calder the wrong way. Her being kind, even after he'd tripped them up made him feel better. "I was out for a quick flight around the meadows to stretch my wings when I spotted you both." he grinned.

Elanyen was glad that Calder laughed at her teasing, she didn't know him all that well, and was happy that they were comfortably friends now. It made smoothing things over a lot easier if everyone was friendly with everyone else. She was also delighted at Harper's happiness, and more thankfully, diplomacy. If the two males made the effort to get along, everyone would be happier for it.
At Harper's explanation for his appearance, Elanyen wagged her tail as well, "Well that sounds like fun!" That was the point when Elanyen noticed that Harper had a much more impressive wingspan than the other two Talaye, and her eyes widened, "Wow, you must be able to fly better than I can, your wings a lot bigger!"

He was noticing now as well, the small pup's wings impressively larger than his own. He couldn't say he was jealous, figuring the other Talaye was as small as he was because of them.
Harper flushed a bit embarrassedly, glancing back at a wing as he stretched it out a bit. Tucking it back, he pawed at the grass. "Yeah, they're really big." he agreed, not about to admit to being better than anyone at anything. "They can keep me aloft for quite a bit."

Elanyen grinned at the fact that Calder didn't comment on Harper's wings, but wasn't too worried about either male's pride. They were silly that way, males, and she wouldn't get involved, it wasn't her place or her desire to. She thought it was cute, though, when Harper's cheeks turned red under his coat. She didn't want him to be embarrassed by his gift. "That's so cool! I bet you can fly all over! Have you been any interesting places? I mean, the meadow is great and all, but you can only run around so much before you need something new to entertain...." She trailed off, smiling encouragingly at Harper. He was small, yes, but that was no reason for him to be embarrassed by his wings....
Now that her paw was feeling better, Elanyen was getting antsy to run around again. Biting her lip in mock worry, she suddenly lunged forward at Harper, her paw connecting with the smaller Talaye, before springing away across the meadow once more, "Tag!"

He hung about to listen to what they were talking about. However when Elanyen tagged Harper, he was quick to dart off as well. Just by the surprised look on Harper's face did he know that they'd get a good head start."You're it, Squirt!" he called over his shoulder.
"They get me around." he admitted a bit shyly, fighting down his flush. "Besides the tree with the painted trunk, that's about it." He was quite proud of the tree he called home. Thoughts of home always gave way to warm, fuzzy feelings. He'd pulled himself from his thoughts to see Elanyen lunge at him, his eyes widening before shutting tightly.
He was expecting a hit, thinking he'd done or said something wrong. Upon hearing her call out that he was tagged, he opened his eyes to blink curiously before it sunk in they were playing. Hopping up, he crouched with his butt in the air. "Ready or not! Here I come!" he called, starting off after them with a powerful kick of his hind legs.

Elanyen laughed, hearing Calder calling out to Harper as well. She had heard the Talaye saying something, but she was too focused on not tripping again to know what exactly he said. After she was a fair distance away, she paused in her gait to look back, she didn't even know if he'd be following her, since there were now three of them playing the game. The black Talaye was so excited to have this many friends! What a wonderful day it had become....
Her bright eyes peered carefully across the grass, trying to see where Calder had run off to as well. She had lost track of where they had been in the grass when she ran, so now her best hope was to see movement before anyone else spotted her. Hiding her body in a patch of long, high grass, Elanyen tried to poke her dark head out high enough so that she could see, with out exposing herself too much.
