Ryugi walked about the odd void-like area, Ragnarok on his back. This place was so strange and mysterious. This meant Ryugi was on guard for any strange happenings. He looked around, knoweing an opponent should be here somewhere...

Korek knew this feeling. He had lost before he had begun. but, he wouldn't give up. Not matter how much it hurt.

His right leg and arm were burnt badly, and the air actually hurt it. He dropped to his knees, and bought his arm close to his chest, ignoring the pain surging through his right leg. He sat there, awaiting the final attack.

For from nowhere, and with no real warning, a quick swishing could be heard, in which someone dropped down from a tree which had, oddly enough, taken root in a set of clouds. But back to the person. This person dropped down several feet before Ryugi and, with no announcement, pulled free a rapier from his left hip with his right hand and proceeded to rush forward in a very forward thrust, intending to impale Ryugi, and make his death a great profit.
PostPosted: Thu Dec 22, 2005 3:45 pm

As the man dashed, Ryugi shot into action, jumping backwards and high into the air, bringing Ragnarok into an overhead position, chargng energy as he flew back and out of range.

With a flash, the arena around the two men changed into a barren badlands landscape. Pillars of rock were everywhere, and the dried cracked ground beneith their feet looked as if it hadn't seen rain in a very long time.

This was quite different from the cloudy plains that had been their local, but Halycanos made no mind of it. Infact, the sudden heat made him all the happier. "...beautiful."

Raising his gaze to a now totally alert Ryugi, Halycanos held his rapier tightly and held an evil grin even tighter. "So, warrior..." Began the mystery thief, "You've actually got a little bit of skill. Wonderful. I can't wait to see what you can do."

His shirt billowed in the dusty wind, and his combed back hair actually shimmered in the newfound desert light. He himself seemed to be soaking up the heat and just writhing in it's glory. Why, even the pendant at his neck seemed more radiant...

But no more time for observation, because this showwy fighter has ended the preformance. In a quick movement, Halycanos jumped up and forward, the gauntlets on his arms bursting up into flames, his rapier begining to glow a warm, white color. The man kicked left to right to left to right off the strange pillars, and from Ryugi's left hand side, from a seventy-five ish degree, Halycanos dropped down from the sky, his sword pointed straight down, actually tearing the air apart as he did, which gave off the loud whistle of a bomb.

Ryugi knew a fundamental law of the Universe. What goes up, must come down. And down he went towards the ground. Already calculating what he'd need to do once he hit the ground. With a thud he landed and immediately rolled off to one side to avoid being impaled by the man's sword that was surely following him.

The man's velocity was set by gravity, and there was really little the falling man could do to change his direction of fall. Sure, he could change the position of his body with relative ease by twisting and turning, but his falling momentum and direction were practically predictable.

Ryugi had noticed the glow of the man's pendant, and glowing objects in a fight generally meant a power source. He'd also seen the blatant use of flames on the man's gloves. For the time being, Ryugi had every reason to belive the man was a flame elemental, or involved with heat in some way. Taking this into consideration, Ryugi quickly made a decision.

As he landed and rolled away, he quickly pulled himself into a crouching position carefully watching his opponent from about ten feet away, a second turn of charge under his belt as he watched, ready for the man's next move...

He felt disorientated, as he alwasys did. Silver Moonblade forced himself to a stand as he looked around, confused about what was going on. He seemed to be on one of many huge platforms surrounding a beutiful, but menacing, twisted tree of unfanthomable size. Something about it was familiar. Unbeknownest to Silver, this had been the battleground for many fights he couldn't remember.

Gotta find a way out...

Silver began to jump upwards from platform to platform, slowly making his way upward this tree of seemingly infinate size.

((so half-assed.))

Movement. Instinct. Attack.

With the sudden odd change in his environment, Dark could only assume that something was wrong. And when something was wrong, he/'d just have to wait for something to happen, easily done with the odd empty atmosphere of his environment.

Catching a bit of movement in his peripheral vision, detected at rather a rather close distance of ten feet, easily done when nothing else in the area moved, his hands instinctively swung outwards to defend himself, swinging the large eight foot polearm with a crescent-moon shaped head at whatever it was, horizontally from his right side to his left.

This movement of course would be one SIlver Moonblade, jumping up the boughs of the huge tree. Of course, he entered Dark's peripheral vision exactly upon his landing on the massive branch the paranoid bounty hunter was on.

Upon landing, he felt movement beside him. There wasn't much time to defend properly, so he immediatly pushed off, only jumping about 6 feet in the air. As he hoped, he was at least fast enough on the rebound to get away from the attack. He looked in the general direction of his foe.

Due to the nature of this place, they would invariably fight against one another. So there was no time for talk.

He quickly readied his Silver Spear Dragoonair, which had a draconic head "breathing" a flame of fire. There were glowing rubies for eyes, but one wouldn't probably notice that in the heat of combat. There wouldn't be time before there was another attack, so he went in for a quick lunge.

He went in for a quick...

"RAH!"

During the time that the mysterious person had shown up, dodged his first attack, and drew his weapon, Dark had simply continued to swing his weapon, having connected with nothing, he pivotted and let the momentum of the polearm carry him around until he faced the man. At that moment, he would literally hurl the large weapon out of his hands at the other man as he made his foreward charge, right into the top of the crescent blade atop the garafa when the bounty hunter threw it with the momentum of the spin. This of course, would cause the weapon to spin around, but with the distance between them, naturally being hit with the shaft was quite out of the question.

As soon as the polearm left his hands, they would reach down to his hips and put his index and middle fingers into the rings set into the blades and draw the weapons, his thumb and remaning fingers wrapping around the small section of the wrapped handles at the three additional smaller blades. He would hold them like any conventional sword, both of the longer blades held in a generic crossed style in front of himself in a rather shoddy 'X' shape.

Taki had been walking aimlessley through the passageways, minding her own damn business. Then she felt the shift begin. She could feel her body mass being twisted slightly as she was pulled from the passageway, and into a place that, overall, quite a few people didn't like one bit. And, as soon as she'd gotten that tingly feeling of matter being twisted between planes, two words issued from her mouth.

The first on the plane of material reality. "Oh..."

And the second in the plane of destination. "...s**t."

Well, there was no denying it now. Things were about to get a tad bit strained in Taki's mainly logic-based mind. Undoubtedly, she was now in: The Void.

"So, you're the one?" She'd appeared more or less in front of Lazenca, with about 10 feet between them. This was the way things were. Laz was dressed as he usually was these days- shirtless, shoeless, metallic bands on his forearms. Nothing special at all.

"The one I'm supposed to fight? I'd like to say that it's nice seeing you again, but not like this. We can reminice on the other side, if we even remember this. But for now, let's get this over with... I want to get back to sleep."

"HURK!"

The crescent blade of Garafa lodged nicely into his side. There was no way Silver could continue forward with he weight of the spear in him, and thus he spun out out quickly and onto the ground. Quickly removing the spear from his side as he jumped back to his feet, he was quick to observe the fighting stance and his opponents new weapons.

He made it look as if he was going for another lunge. However, he quickly twisted the spear in the ceter area, where two rods seemed to have been put together. Immediatly the spear sprang out towards his foe. The six foot pole with the foot long blade quickly doubled in legnth as the spring loaded weapon sprang forth, equaling a total of 13 feet. Unless the man did something, he was likely to be impalled.

If he was indeed impalled, he would make a quick horizontal swing in an attempt to throw him of the platform.

"Eat this!"
PostPosted: Thu Dec 22, 2005 11:35 pm

Well, Dark naturally planned to step back until the lunge was overextended before making his move, but surprisingly, as he moved back, instead of an overextension, it seemed that the weapon fired out at him instead. But luckily, a thrust was one of the easier attacks to menuever around.

Bringing the weapons in his hands downward, he set the blade in his left hand to press down on the weapon's extending haft while he moved the blade in his right to slip underneath it with it's blade corssing over the one in his left hand, sort of like a pair of scissors. During the time he would do this however, he would be moving his own body with a simple step to his right to let the thrusting head pass by as he moved his own weapons. With his blades in a position such as it was, crossing over each other at his left side and the spear beyond, he simply charged at Moonblade, effectively preventing the use of swinging the spear at him as it was being blocked by the two oddly bladed weapons in Dark's hands, sliding the blades down the length of the haft as he closed the gap, breaking the effective range of a spear.

Of course, the spear could be used against him if it was pulled out from the opening between the two blades, but that took time.

"Ach nein...", Taki said with a slight twinge in anticipation of the inevitable pain to come. She probably should have practiced more in the past few weeks....she had gotten a mite rusty since last she fought, because Lazenca was no easy opponent.

"I suppose you're right, Laz.", she stated while settling into a loose Musoh-Battoh-Ryu stance. And after this, as her nails sharpened and her hands became covered by a collaboration of purplish-blue flames, she said quite calmly, "Well then, come at me."
