But it just doesn't....its not right. Its wrong.
As much as I wish we could keep the Barloz, we cant fit in it.

Remember you already broke Fringe-smuggler convention with a Mando captain. Shouldn't you expect a Mando-esque ship?

stellarmagic I also assumed a capacity of 75,000 mTs per Class-A Container, but I can't seem to find reliable data on that anywhere. Length 75.55 meters Width 38.63 meters Height/depth 21.36 meters If you crank out the math there, you aught to be able to determine the mass in cubic meters it could possibly hold and from there work out a number on Tonnage

Des Voh But it just doesn't....its not right. Its wrong. As much as I wish we could keep the Barloz, we cant fit in it. C'mon, Des. This thing is as close to a IRL Tramp Freighter as we're going to get while still maintaining something of a small ship mentality. And theres still that Hangar possibility.

The stats for an Action VI give us a conversion of 2.5 metric tons per m3. If I assume only 75% of the upper limit translates to the actual capacity I get around 115,000 metric tons per container. SOB! I'll round down to 100,000 and adjust the stats accordingly.

I had the idea for quite a unique ship actually.
A Consular-class Cargo Model, a ship made in limited quantities by CEC.
It Was the basic Consular-class but with a stern cargo-hold(three decks connected by a cargo lift similar to what the Barloz has) mounted between the engines and the rest of the ship, making the ship slightly longer. Two docking ports to allow Cargo Containers along the underside of the tradisitional hold connecting it to the 'passenger section' aka, the orginial slim body of the ship.
The salon pod can we fitted however we want, and it can still fit 16 people, and perhaps even a small fighter in the cargo hold.
Its homely, and its efficient. Though you guys can figure out just how much she can hold.

Why always CEC? Give another company a chance to have a tramp freighter.

*sigh* We're never going to get anywhere. It takes long enough for everyone to agree on something, and then Des doesn't like the idea and reopens the scab and the process starts all over again.
Why doesn't Cale just decide what the ship is? He's the mando who bought it, and it would have to suit the tastes of his character. Doesn't that make the most sense anyway? Des, no offense, but your character's just going to get hired. The Mando's owned the ship for several years.

stellarmagic Why always CEC? Give another company a chance to have a tramp freighter. This is true, though he probably wants a CEC ship so he can be sure Kaleb knows how to fly it. Corellians naturally dont trust anything not made in their home sector. They'd rather fly Durosian or Mon Cal designs than anything out of KDY.
