Cale sat in the cockpit of the Auric Runner. He had known Selk was dead. somehow he had already known. that didn't make the news any easier to bear. Cale took a pull from his flask of jet juice and sighed. then a sudden thought crossed his mind. He knew Selk was dead already. but how did he know? the same way he was ready for the dark sider's attack. the same way he spotted the CorSec operatives despite their cover. was that just him? or was it something else? he drew the shards out from a hidden pocket of his jacket. "Are you doing this?" he asked, not really expecting the blue crystals to answer. "Who's doing what sir?" Cambot asked floating in. "Nothing. so what exactly are we hauling?" Cale said as he put the shards back. "Just spare parts for the machinery on Borleas sir." "Good. once on planet we can buy a cargo of medical supplies and haul those in somewhere for a haul." Cale smiled, thinking of the money he'd make. a becon on the consol alerted him. "Ok, we're coming out of hyperspace. stand by." "I can't stand sir. I float." Cale blinked. he turned around and glared at the robot as it hung there in the air. "Listen, if I want to hear lame jokes, I'll go and vistit a coruscanti comedy club. just get ready for the return to realspace." "Aye aye captain." the droid said as it hovered to its console. Cale sighed and dropped the ship out of hyperspace. the planet Borleas started to grow in the canopy glass as they neared. then Cale got a disturbing feeling in the pit of his stomach. "Cambot, run a sensor sweep. something isnt right here." "But sir, our sensors detect nothing." "active scan, not casual scan. something isn't right here." Cale powered up the shields and slowly kept his course for Borleas, though he didn't power up the weapons.

Imperius stood at the bridge of Project Black Void. The fleet was uncloaked for the time being, conserving its resources, but it was still masked on scanners. That's when the com came in.
"Lord Imperius, this is Admiral Traer of the Red Tempest" the hologram said, showing a man wearing the FSL version of a Grand Admiral uniform: plain white with red accents.
"What is it?" Imperius questioned.
"We have picked up a signature on our scanners, my Lord," the Grand Admiral said.
"And? Is it formidable? How many ships are there?" Imperius inquisited.
"No, my lord, it's a small ship, actually, more like a light-frigate. Appears to be Corellian, maybe a YT model," Traer answered firmly.
"Hail the transport and ask it to identify itself. Keep me masked on the line,"
"As you wish my lord," Traer said.

"I know theres someone else out here!" Cale shouted as he double checked his sensors. "Sorry sir. the sensors cant pick it up if there is anyone." Cambot said. Suddenly they were hailed. "Attention unidentified transport. This is the Venator class Star Destroyer Red Tempus. State your name, Identification, and purpose for your buisness on Borleas." Cale just shook his head. "great we get snuck up on by an SD. but how the hell do you hide something that big?!" He tabbed a reply. "This is the Privateer vessel Auric Runner. We're transporting some parts to the Pharmecutical planet dirtside. we have a legitimate Corellian Merchant's Guild cargo. any other questions?" Cale kept scanning the sky for cruisers. "tehy must be on the otherside of the moon. I cant see them. but I sure as hell should have picked up something that big...unless." Oldest pirate trick in the book. he almost kicked himself for not seeing it sooner. they had sensor cloaks. "Hey, Red Tempus, You're a Republic ship right?" Cale asked as he hovered his hand near a button on the console.

Traer looked towards Imperius on the holoscreen, as if asking what to say, but Imperius stood silent.
"Pharmecutical? You must be mistaken Auric Runner, Borleias is closed off to all civilians. Please change course so that you are outbound from the system,"

Closed to all civilians, cruiser with a sensor cloak, this was starting to stink. But Cale wanted to know more. Time to act. He kept the ship moving slowly towards Borlieas and hailed the ship again. "Hey, I got a load of reactor parts for the Alderaan Biotics Company, a Civilian Firm thats been there for over 400 years. Last I checked Borleas wasn't off limits to Guild pilots. What's going on here that the Republic needs to have cloaked warships keeping buisness away? Better tell me before before the Guild hears of this. otherwise you guys will have hell to pay." He looked back over to cambot as he awaited a response. "Get ready for a quick jump to the edge of the system if things go south."

Fett watched Cale on his scanners. This pilot knew how to play the comm officers, but if he was aware of a more immediate threat, he might forget the whole incident. He sent a message to the flagship, requesting permission to act.

As Traer spoke, Imperius served as commander.
"Revan's Quest, send out a wing of TIEs. Ghost Ship, interdict and detain him" he commanded.
Meanwhile, Traer continued his replies.
"You haven''t heard? Alderaan Biotics relocated themselves to New Alderaan around six months ago. It was on the order of the late Senator Phoenix Feron, himself" Traer said, turning the questioning by hinting at the death of Feron.

"Never heard of him. But it makes sense to me. Make sure you guys tell the guild next time." Cale said. "Sir, sensors' picking up ties and a warship deploying from the far side of the moon to intercept.." "heh. figures. alright, turn the ship around and put engines to full. Dump power from the guns into them as well. we'll outrun those slugs and hype out to the edge of the sol system." "Afirmative sir." The Auric Runner pulled a sudden U-turn and fled at a much faster speed than her class indicated, running for the edge of the gravity well of Blackmoon.

Fett had taken the deployment of ships as aquiescence to give chase, so chase Cale he did. His smaller, nimbler ship was capable of speeds that put the ties to shame in the maximum mode of consumption, which he utilized now. Draining all energy to engines, he shot towards Cale like a turbolaser, dipping into the planet's orbit to slingshot himself around to the other side of it.

Cale glanced at his instruments and noticed one ship was gaining fast. "huh. not an average fighter. to big. ah well, he's out of luck now." Cale pulled the lever and he blasted into hyperspace.

Fett smiled to himself and logged the combat data away, returning to the flagship. "Target's left the area. All quiet on the western hemisphere."
