Ugh.. gonk At Barnes & Noble, I was looking for a place to sit that:
1) wasn't anywhere near loud annoying children
2) wasn't in anyone's way
3) wasn't against a bunch of books
I ended up under a table..

Skizzors Ugh.. gonk At Barnes & Noble, I was looking for a place to sit that: 1) wasn't anywhere near loud annoying children 2) wasn't in anyone's way 3) wasn't against a bunch of books I ended up under a table.. Loud annoying children are why I hate American bookstores... at least at my nice Japanese bookstores, it's never crowded and people move out of the way for you without you having to give them evil glares or demand they move. stare (Even when I asked this guy at Borders if he could move, he just ignored me like I wasn't there. d**k.)

Same here, but I don't have an alternative because I only know English.. takako_tenshi at least at my nice Japanese bookstores, it's never crowded and people move out of the way for you without you having to give them evil glares or demand they move. There are hardly ever any people in the manga sections at the bookstores I go to, so that's not much of a problem.. but I generally stay away from people so they don't have to bother asking me to move.

I like Japanese and Chinese bookstores. 3nodding Even if I can't read most of the Chinese and trips to the Japanese store are rare. Really? It gets annoying after a while because none of them have any manners. If I see anyone there, it's usually middle-aged guys reading the Star Wars things from the next section over..
