Again Crow made the same nervous action of scratching at the back of his head. This time he covered his eyes with one hand and began to walk around, using his other hand to act as if he were feeling around for his surroundings.

"I've had this theory for a while, now, although I haven't shared it with the others." Strobe said, furrowing his eyebrows in thought. "Everyone who's been experimented on had the virus or already had powers in the real world. If they were to take those with powers and those most likely to develop them later, it would only save them the trouble of going through tedious things such as the Human Genome Project."

patrick almost walked into a branch, but froze inches away from walking into it face first. then he ducked under it and kept going. "i wish i had thought to bring my cane. but if these experiments are hurting the person, they shouldnt worry about it. research is no excuse for inflicting pain on someone."

Kioko nodded in understanding.
"i think im getting the hang of understanding you, altho i think that talking would be better, if not telekenesis. its a step tho." She said getting up and putting more firewood to feed the flames.
((is it night time still? or daybreak? i lose sense of time a while back))

"Well, besides when they talked to us, I don't think they considered us human. More like lab rats or something people think is acceptable to abuse in the name of science." Strobe said. He noticed the faint sound of the waterfall as the sun began to rise slowly.

((actually, if you close your eyes and walk towards a wall, you can feel the change in air pressure when you get close to it. the daredevil could see sound, patrick felt that there was something there. patrick does have a power, but thats not it. im trying not to steal that power cuz thats sorta lame when people steal ideas like that))
patrick shook his head. "thats terrible. they must have hurt max pretty bad. you should tell someone. all of you should go to the cops about this." he sighed. "i love the sound of waterfalls. is that where all of you are staying?"

((Not to mention that, as crude as it is compared to bats, we can identify surroundings by sound, and if you're looking for people, the electrical signals our nerves produce are a dead giveaway. Me and my friends used to play hide-and-seek in the pitch black.))
Crow shrugged his arms and smiled akwardly, he would love to be able to speak again, but he didn't mind speechlessness so much. While the seal that was once on his back allowed Max to listen to his thoughts, its removal made him more reliable in protecting his friends, that was far more important in his eyes. Crow looked back towards the woods from where he'd come out of, it seemed Strobe and Patrick were still alright, he was a bit worried about how long it was taking them.

"Don't worry, they are fine Crow" Kioko said staring at the fire, the warmth of the fire was blazing against her face
The sun had already started comming up and nobody was asleep. Seems like evrybody had alot on theri minds

"I would go, but there's no logical way that an operation this big could be done in complete secrecy. No, local authorities must know about it and are purposely looking the other way." Strobe said, shaking his head, his eyes downshed. He heard the next comment and looked up.
"Yeah, that would be it. Home sweet home, for now, anyway."

"then we should alert the media. as handsome as max is, the sight of him would be convincing enough for anyone, dont you agree?" he meant the part about being convincing, not about him being handsome. of course, some people would agree with both statements.

Crow continued to look back at the woods for a few seconds, but then turned and joined kioko, sitting next to the fire. It wasn't that he was cold, before he'd been taken into the labs he'd frequently put himself in out cold weather to build tolerance, rather the fire was the closest thing to a source of entertainment he could find.

Strobe sighed as the climbed atop another boulder and tapped his foot for Patrick. "And that is why we can't go to anyone else. I have a theory that there may be others out there, with powers like us, who are willing to help, but how would we ever find them?"

Kioko sensed the boredness of Crow and stuck her hand out towards the fire.
"watch this," she said with amusement in her eyes
the fire startes dancing, swaying back and forth with Kioko's hand movement, and eventually the flames seperated into dancing figures gliding across the charred wood and occasionally dancing with each other..

Crow watched Kioko's display closely, a wide grin appeared on his face, he thought Kioko's control over the elements to be an amazing thing, his shoulders shook with a chuckle, though he made no noise. Crow watched for a few minutes then extended his hand out into the fire, though instead of catching fire, a blue tinted layer of dim light seemed to surround his hand and the edge of the jacket that penetrated it. With this he scooped up a couple of the dancing figures and allowed them to dance across his arms, blue light spreading across the small points where the flames made contact. Still smiling he held them out to Kioko to show her.

"Having fun?" Strobe said as he walked into the cave, leading Patrick by the hand. The display of both Kioko and Crow's power was amazing and, being both fire proof and pyrokinetic, it kind of inspired him to decide to train to obtain the level of control.
