The bullet passed through Mark's chest. It was too close for toughened flesh to stop it; he didn't tense up in time. He managed to hit the earth in a graceful roll, allowing his momentum to bring him up to his feet again. He didn't want to really kill anybody, but if they didn't give him a choice...
The weapon grew out of his forearm yet again, opening up with an elongated burst of energy, swept like a beam across both MPs.
{Mark's roll result: ...10, 8.}
((That is unbelievable. Absolutely unbelievable.
Today is not my day for luck.))

He stopped scratching, and his leg lowered back to the ground as he directed another crazed grin at the man. "What I? I called..."
He paused for a moment as he translated and shortened his true description from the Universal language, the internal one that every being is born with. It was a really rough translation into human sounds, but he decided it would suffice.
"I called...Ch'Karra." he said, in his growling guttural tone. "And what 'Good Lord name'?"

Standing in the middle of the clearing, with the breeze whispering softly though his black bangs, Exodus forced himself to get over his initial reaction to the creature/dog thing. Mind over matter. Never lose your cool. Breathing in a quick breath, he forced himself out of the offensive stance he had begun to take and stood straight, facing Ch'Karra.
"Ch'Karra... doesn't really roll of the tongue too well, does it?" He grinned, then shifted his weight onto his other foot, seeming casual. "The 'Good Lord' is who I place my faith in, and who guides me through troubled times. I don't think obvious demonic-spawn, such as yourself, needs to know much more about it than that."

"Hmm... Yes... I can't say I know how you feel... That would be a lie, as I have never lost anyone before...... But I do know, that I won't let you lose me. I promise.", Ryn said, looking at Izzy, before his eyes suddenly flying wide open.
Instinctively he reached for his belt, only to remember that he had lost his sword in the last battle, before he hissed,"I smell Purifiers...."

Izzy looked to Ryn thankfully, but that thankfullness was soon earased as he said that he smalled purifiers. "what are purifiers doing in Vancouver?" she wispered, looking over her shoulder, worried, at the people she knew had been there. And while she could feel people behind her, she had no idea that they would be purifiers, her stomach felt as it was tieing itself in knots. She calmly looked back forword, and put her hands in her pockets, attempting to calm herself down. The cool metal and plastic of her pocket knife almost calmed her as it rested in her hand. ((crappy post of crappy tiredness. 3nodding ))

((S'pose this is as good a time as any for me to post.))
Tamwyn hurried through the streets of the city. She'd picked up a long trench coat and a hat from some place that donated clothes for the poor, reasoning that no money meant they were indeed poor and needed help even more than those who would have gotten these clothes. The next priority was a place to heal Ryn's wounds, and there weren't a lot of options. Where could a 7-foot tall draconic being receive medical care and not be- Tamwyn stopped in her tracks. She was being foolish. Worse, she was thinking like a human. She had the resources to find confidential medical care; all she needed to do was use them. Backing into an alley, Tamwyn put herself in a light trance, separating a small part of herself from her body. Within moments that part of her was floating above Vancouver. She blinked to use a different part of her vision. Small, multi-colored fires sprang up all over the city. Most were faint and unidentifiable but others were much stronger than she had anticipated. She scanned the fires to find the appropriate place. Tamwyn spotted a suitable fire ten city-blocks in from where she was, one tinged with green to indicate a healer and with a strong enough signal that it must belong to a practitioner of magic. Kindred spirits would keep each other's secrets, and would also be much less likely to be surprised at strange beings showing up on their doorsteps. Pulling back into her body, she began to walk back to the others. There was no rush now that shelter and care were within reach. ---------------- a'Ariella still felt uneasy. Her winds swirled in response to her emotions and it was all she could to hold steady enough that Ryn floated evenly. She couldn't pin it down, but there was a more-than-human aura whispering somewhere near - and with her passenger, anything not human meant trouble. She heard Ryn say something about "purifiers". What's a purifier? she wondered to herself. The word sounded good. Purity was a wonderful thing. But as she listened to the words exchanged by the dragon-man and the human girl, she had a bad feeling that whatever was making her nervous was also an enemy of the two beings. Ryn wavered a little as a'Ariella fluttered, torn between rushing out of the field and waiting for Tamwyn to return. I have to make sure, she decided eventually. No point in running off because of a- an unfriendly dryad, or something. Carefully, delicately, a'Ariella sent a wisp of wind towards the tree. If all went well, it would pass unnoticed and return to her main body with a closer observation of what gathered there.
((Would it be inappropriate to use a character from a series I've read based in Vancouver as the healer, or should I just make something up?))

Angsk... Angsk.. Wake up! You still have a goal to fulfill for us! Wake up!
Angsk's eyes slowly opened his eyes and found himself in a garden. As he sat himself up he scanned the area. " Where- Where am I? " Angsk, you have been sleeping for sometime now. We have no explanation for this, but we are still looking into this. " I fell asleep? How is this possible? I have no absolute memory of anything I have done... " We may have an explanation for that Angsk... We believe something or someone may know your true identity, and severed your connection to us. Angsk slowly stood up and picked a flower. " So what have I missed? " He placed the flower above his right ear and began to walk around. We will fill you in as we search for your adversary. He sighed as he walked out of the garden area. Suddenly, as he stepped out of the the garden behind him disappeared and the world around him turned to sand. " What in the world is going on?! "
