Man, the Conservative dictatorship bums me out. With the new "justice" laws they're putting out, I wouldn't be surprised if half the people who would vote against the party are in jail by the next "election". Minimum mandatory sentencing for everything? Access to everything we do online without a warrant? Doubling the prison budget despite the fact that crime is down from last year? My head is full of WHY
I want to get away before we turn into Britain, but where would I go? The whole world is draconian these days. Because of one stupid explosion that happened ten goddamn years ago that nobody can get over, everyone is scared shitless enough to believe these ridiculous limitations are for their own ******** good. Terrorists this, security that; the only people using fear as a manipulation tactic (which is the ******** DEFINITION OF TERRORISM) are the goddamn governments. I'm beginning to think the only way to be truly free would be to fake one's own death and live in hiding.

If by terrorists you mean the people who are believed to have organized and carried out the bombing of the WTC, all I can imagine they wanted was revenge for 10 years of suffocating and exploitative sanctions placed on their country by the US and UN. The things we have been subjected to since then serve only the interests of the governments that put them in place.

Every single time I promise myself I would study all weekend, "study" becomes "sleep and play video games."

On a national basis, violent crime is down 20% from last year. Besides, we just don't have another 1.5 billion to put into the judicial system right now. Especially not when the majority of that prison space is going to go toward software pirates and recreational drug users, due to the mandatory sentencing and tentative end to house arrest.

Ohhh, I see. I just don't pay attention to the government. Not that I don't care or anything, but I guess apathy has a bit to do with it, but I know I would just be bothered if I paid any attention. :<
