Devlin-G angelmage99 Devlin-G I'm a realist I know my life is going to be a bit hard starting out but... Of course. But I also don't follow the emphasis on society to be rich or famous. I'm doing what I want to do and using the means set before me to get there. likewise I don't want to be rich because I would have to end up giving more money to a government that doesn't deserve it and I don't want to be famous because I would have to make appearances and know people I'd rather not lol. I disagree. We need more taxes. I know some prez want to lower taxes so we'll spend more, but I'm a liberal what do I know. Every time we lower taxes our economy goes a little crazy. We also could us that money to create programs and save SS.

Well I believe that the government should stop coddling the top 2 percent of the populace and forcibly remove half of the assets so we could at least put something of a dent in our debt and possibly fix the economy to make at least stable.

It would help. Even Bill Gates says they need to tax him more. It's just certain people wont let that happen because they are funded by these cooperations in some way.

I will say there are those who are just fed up with what the government is doing and is getting in. I laughed when my brother said he was thinking about being a politician. Not that he would be a good, sweet, gentle one, but because of how they are. Lawyers on the other-hand are just doing their job.

I don't think they have the right means. I on the other hand would start on a local level and work my way up.

Now I'm not saying I voted for him or McCain, but compared to may other prez I think he's not doing a bad job.
Examples: -Not getting into any more 'wars' -Economy has improved (well a little) -New medical advantages -Plus Osama Bin Laden
Now compare us with the idiot that got us into that mess.

Not getting us into any more wars Need I remind you about Libya And Bin laden I would chalk that up the military it was his doing he didn't pull the trigger it was a Seal and they've most likely been waiting to do this. Everything else well I can't really see much of a difference.

Now politics isn't something I really like to get into but there isn't one idiot that got us into this mess, and Obama isn't just one to get us out. While the president is important, you have to remember Congress as well. Bill Clinton's presidency set up a lot of the issues George Bush had to face and is often blamed for. I just like to blame Congress more than the president for anything becuase it seems like the president can't really do too much. People often like to say, lousy republic/democratic president but they fail to look at congress which may have a democratic majority with a republican president or vice versa. So I don't like to credit/discredit the president too much at all. Sort of a name to go with what happened in the four years.

I agree Congress is just as bad. The point is out of the last six 'military actions' none have been vote on. Of course each president has the baggage of the last. That's why I didn't get into some other things.
But I guess I got carried away. I mean I'm a history major so I argue a lot.

I'm not a history major, but arguing is fun. More of a sciencey-math person to be honest. Politics is too complex. It's hard to put the blame on anyone. I suppose human nature is to put the blame on somebody or we all go insane. One of the reasons I like Bush is that he doesn't really seem to care that everybody makes fun of him. I like Obama too. It's a tough job, being president.
