The last thing Hurdy saw was Nyu coming up, and the shadow tenticles, so he quickly used some more hand seals and then Jumoed away. Lighting strike. The lightning was shot at the last position Nyu was at and also dispelled the Shadow tenticles. Hurdy then landed and put his hand in front of his face. Even in the darkest nigts you can see you hand, so this was no nature way. It was a genjutsu. Hurdy used the dispell technique and escaped it. Hurd then took out ten kunai and threw them all At Nyu, but they were evenly spaced out. His shoulder compartment also opened up.

Nemu dusted herself off, she had gotten a lot of dirt on her clothes from that little mess-up. But she hadn't been hurt, so she waved a last goodbye to Tsunade before trying to think about what to do next. Well, first things first, she should see about changing into some clean clothes. Then, after that, maybe get some more training in? But who should she train with now?
As she began pondering this new problem, she set out for her house and a change of clothes. It didn't take long, maybe a half hour, and she was freshened up and ready to continue. But she hadn't decided yet who to train with, so she decided to just do some pointless wandering, maybe fate would step in and decide for her.
And it did! She hadn't been paying attention to where she was going, and soon found herself near the edge of the village, where some of the larger clans had set up their private housing areas. In fact, she found herself at the edge of the Naras' land. It was right up against the forest, since they worked with deer this was an obvious choice in practicality. Since she was already here, she entered, moving among the buildings with just a little bit of apprehension.

Where was she now? Sure, Nemu was technically a member of the Nara, and had even learned the jutsu the Nara were so famous for, but it'd been so long since she'd been here that she had totally forgotten where everything was. she must have spent two or three hours just wandering among the buildings, and she hadn't even seen a single person yet!
Growing frustrated she turned at random, and soon found herself at an isolated part of the area that she couldn't remember. She was about to turn away and go back to the places she at least mildly remembered, when a faint sound caught her attention. It almost sounded like... breathing? Curious, she tried to zero in on the sound, and soon found her target. What luck! Shikamaru was lounging on the edge of the building's walkway, sprawled out half in the sun, was he sleeping? Well, one way to find out!
"Um, Shikamaru? Are you awake?"
"Now I am. What do you want, Nemu?"
"Eeps! Well, I was wondering, *yawn* I don't suppose you'd be willing to help me train?"
"What a drag. I don't feel like it."
Nemu blinked, she hadn't expected a flat-out refusal. What now? She'd spent so long finding someone to train with, and now he just said no? What should she do?

Hmm, this was quite the dilemma. Shikamaru didn't want to train her. She knew she shouldn't be surprised, from what she'd heard, he had even more lackluster grades in th academy than she had. But she was stubborn, maybe she could find a way to convince him?
"How about if I treat you to lunch?"
"I've already eaten. Go away."
"Hmm, how about if I play Go with you?"
"You're no challenge, it'd just be a waste of time. Go away."
"How about if I stop bothering you after you train me?"
Nemu felt a little bad, that was playing kind of dirty. Threatening to keep bothering him unless he trained her, that wasn't very nice. But she hadn't been able to think of anything else, and it had ben the first thing that came to mind. She was just about to speak up, say she was just kidding, when Shikamaru let out a sigh. Sitting up, he scratched the back of his head.
"Fine, let's get this over with. What a drag."
Nemu's breath caught in her throat as his words cut her off. He actually had agreed?! Even if it was a pretty low trick, he had still agreed. She'd done it, now she could train.

Nemu wondered what they'd do to begin, since Shikamaru didn't seem to be willing to offer up much in the way of advice yet. She finally gave up and asked him what she should do. He told her to use her Kage Mane no Jutsu, and stretch her shadow out as far as she could. She nodded, and clasped her hands, doing the seals she'd learned right here in the Nara estate several years ago. She felt her chakra flow to her shadow, and watched as her shadow flickered. There, it was ready!
She willed her shadow to move, to stretch out. It moved kind of slow, she obviously hadn't kept in practice with it very much. But nonetheless it still grew smoothly, thinning out as it lengthened, making her almost think it was later than it was. Finally, she had to admit, she'd reached her limit. She could make her shadow strain a little for an extra inch or so, but it was rather unpredictable.
"Okay, this is my limit. What now?"
"That's it? You're hopeless. Go away."
"Whaaat?! But you said you'd train me!"
"That was before I knew how useless you were. Leave me alone."
"Please! Just teach me a few techniques, I'll learn them as fast as I can and then I'll leave you all alone! Please!"
"Fine, fine, just shut up already."

Nemu smiled as Shikamaru finally agreed to train her. (Again.) She had to make sure to do her best, to ensure that he didn't get too frustrated and quit again. If she had to find a way to get him to agree to train her yet again, well, she'd take the words right out of his mouth. 'What a drag.'
She stood at attention, waiting for Shikamaru's next instructions, doing her best to make sure she'd respond right away. He instructed her to use her Kage Mane no Jutsu again, this time to try to change it's shape as fast as she could. She nodded and set about trying to do so. She did the same hand seals, and watched as her shadow began to move. Again, it was a little slow at first, but it seemed to improve a little bit, maybe the fact thats he'd just done it might have helped her improve a little?
Either way, she felt confident about trying to change it's shape, so she jumped right in. She could control how her shadow moved on a gross scale, but the fine-tune details were still pretty difficult. It was like moving a blob of dough. Sure you could move it easy enough, stretch and squish it, but the fine details were really hard to manage. That didn't stop her from trying, though.

Nemu had been manipulating her shadow for some time, and her chakra was dropping fast. Even so, she was finally starting to get the hang of it, she could make her shadow change it's shape with at least some degree of skill. She could make it look a little like a puppy or a kitty, albeit a bit bigger than they should be. She could turn her shadow into a circle and a star, and she could make her shadow move like a person, waving and acting like it was doing jutsus and katas.
Finally, she had to stop, her chakra was getting too low to maintain the jutsu anymore. She sighed, wiping her forehead as she looked over at Shikamaru. She half-expected him to make some deprecating comment on her skill, but instead it looked like he hadn't even been watching! He had his head tilted down, he looked like he was asleep!
"Weren't you even *yawn* watching? I tried my best!"
"Yeah, yeah, I could tell your skill in the first minute. Have you already learned the Shadow Sewing technique?"
"Yup! I *yawn* just learned it a little while ago!"
"Will you stop yawning already?! You're being annoying!"

Nemu kept at it, following her reluctant teacher's orders as she developed her skills. Most of it was pretty straight-forward, but a few of the exercises were rather difficult. When her chakra recovered, she had to do more practices with her Kage Mane no jutsu, seeing just what sort of limits she could warp her shadow, how thin she could make it, how pointed, how fast she could move it. Overall, she was working very hard, but she was making good progress, so it was alright.
Finally Shikamaru had her take a break to rest and recover chakra, and he gave her a very brief explanation about how the Shadow Neck Bind actually work. The technique itself was pretty difficult to get the hang of, since normally a shadow is just a shadow, making it actually become three dimensional was a good deal harder than one would think. It required a decent amount of chakra, and had no immediate use. The whole selection of Nara family techniques were soemwhat limited in that regard, they were primarily suited for reconnaisance and support, not a single ninja battling another. even so, the techniques were very useful in the right situation, which was only one reason why the Nara family remained a somewhat important part of the village.

Finally Shikamaru had said she'd done enough training; he'd teach her the Shadow Neck Bind. He told her to pay attention, he was only going to show her once. She'd better get it right or he wouldn't show her again. She watched as Shikamaru made the hand seals. Much of the pattern was very similar to the Kage Mane, but it was a bit longer and more complicated. She watched Shikamaru's shadow lengthen and stretch towards her, then veer off to the side and dart towards a nearby tree.
From there his shadow seemed to climb the tree, wrapping around it and circling up it's length until it was several feet off the ground. From there, she saw his shadow split into a pair of prongs, and each prong's tip seemed to take the shape of a pair of hands which seemed to grasp at the tree's trunk as if it were an abnormally thick neck. Nemu nodded, she thoght she'd gotten the gist of it. She didn't quite understand how the shadow could exert that much of an influence over someone, but then again the Kage Mane did something pretty similar too. Admittedly, it only did a small effect in that regards, this must just eba stronger version of the same principle.

Shikamaru released the jutsu, and his shadow quickly retracted back to it's normal shape. He gestured half-heartedly at Nemu, giving her the go-ahead to try it herself, and she gulped nervously. Could she pull it off? Well, one way to find out. She stepped forward a little,a nd began to gather chakra. She copied the hand seals as best she could remember (She thought she got them all!) and attempted the jutsu.
Success! Her shadow rippled and began to lengthen. She didn't try anything fancy, she just sent her shadow towards the same tree that Shikamaru had targeted, and split it into the two prongs like he had. From there it seemed she had just about gotten it right, her shadows crawled up the tree to try to grasp at the trunk more or less the same way that Shikamaru had.
"Well if you got this far, you probably have it right. Good, you got it, are we done now?"
"Wow! That wasn't *yawn* as hard as I thought it would be! It was kind of like the Shadow Sewing technique!"
"What!? You already know the Shadow Sewing technique?! It's basically the same as this one, why in the world did you need my help!? What a drag!"

Nyu smiled as the shinobi thought he knew what he was doing. Nyu then saw people thropwing kunai at him. This reminded him of his days as a mssing nin. People hating him throwing stuff at him. Not welcoming him. This is why he became a normal nin again. Nyu then looked to see if Hurdy was still there and saw tons of him. Nyu then completely blackened Hurdy's sight so he could see absolutely nothing. Nyu ignored the kunai coming at him hoping he could live them but not knowing it was an illusion. Nyu then let out a huge wave of darknesss and let it out at the long line of Hurdys. it was so wide that it would hit them all. The Darkness then turned into chaos and raged towards the wall of Hurdys as it was now only a few inches from them.

(Sort of it's like acid it melts through anything)

((There is no crackle of fire but ok. Oh and you couldn't have casted genjutsu on me. You can't cast it on those stronger than you.))

Nyu then smirked slightly as the wall of haos turned on him in his sight. Nyu knrew this was now a genjutsu. It wouldn't be possible for the opponent to do so because this was Nyu's special ability that only he could do. Nyu then dispelled the genjutsu. Nyu's sight had returned to normal. Nyu then formed some hand seals. Nyu then hurled another wave of chaos as fast as he could as Hurdy. As the chaos grew near it's shadow then jumped out at Hurdy to bind him. he wouldn't know it was coming from his lack of sight. Nyu then began forming some hand seals and stood awaiting to see what Hurdy would do.

(It's not a genjutsu acually, I can prove it if you want me too)

Sakura sighed as sh had to treat this patient. "Another victim of a genjutsu attack. I swear no one these days knows how to counter it." She said as she formed handseals.

Komen watched the Handseals and kept it to memory. "Hmmm interesting." komen said as he continued to watch. he turned his Byakugan on to observe where her chakra was flowing toward.

Sakura closed her eyes as she focused hard. "Release!"She said as the man started to open his eyes. "Damn it..." he groaned as Sakura smiled. "next time you need to be more careful." She said with a cheerful smile.

Hurdy finished his Drawing and the Minners Hat apeared on His head. Cry drawing technique. But his Hat, Had lights on the four corners, dispelling The shadows that drew near. He then again Body Flickered when he heard the crackle, but he lost the connection to His jutsu. He would just keep running from the wall of fire when it drew near until Nyu ran out of Chakara.
