Sauvie Tatsuman CherubiMaster Rayquaza will be back for revenge and he'll team up with PICHU! Or maybe Jiggly. I'm thinking Rayquaza will be a boss.
He's much too big to be a character.
Also, Jiggly is too awesome to be cut. Could be said for Pichu as well Well, yea, but do you think they can make Pichu different enough to not be a Pikachu clone?

Also, Jiggly is too awesome to be cut. Could be said for Pichu as well Well, yea, but do you think they can make Pichu different enough to not be a Pikachu clone? Well they could give him Thunder Wave and make him a little more physical with just enough electricity to make him challenging. Maybe he'll be a Link Pichu and have a sword.

I think that the extra holdback on the game was to add characters they were planning to remove. Items they thought were stupid. Time to get advertising to other companies for third-party chars. and Monkey's lot's of monkeys

Well, it does make the game much more fair. Afterall, no one can beat Pichu. Yeah, they did give him too much defense. He was a small character that could hold on longer than Bowser. The damaging himself did nothing.

I am just interested what his trophy would be if he is cut. @Cherubi - More Monkeys is what I have been asking for since day 1 For Pokemon I think if we get anyone we'll get Jigglypuff back and then Mewtwo or Lucario (although I prefer Mewtwo, he's just well....the first MAIN legendary unless you consider Mew to be the first since Mewtwo is a clone of Mew <.<)

Cool update, going to go ahead and say that I called the FE part of it (seeing as Radiant Dawn officialy comes out today)
With my departure I am leaving my thoughts on the remaining missing characters, and some possible newcomers. Let me know what you think.
Veterans
Luigi: He was different enough from Mario to stay in. Besides he is frickin Luigi, he is one of Nintendo’s mascots. He won’t be removed.
Jigglypuff: Why would they take Jiggly out? She is an adequate smasher, and besides that she is from the original game. ~firm believer that all the original will return~
Captain Falcon: I think with the conformation of his arch rival as an AT the captain is back. Why they are taking so long to show him is beside me, but he will be there he is popular.
Ness: Despite the many people who think Ness is out. I think he is still in there. A. In the Lucas update the say something on the lines of lets see which of the two are better. (yes am to lazy to go and look it up). Not to mention that Lucas’s attacks as seen so far are nothing like Ness’s. Plus isn’t it about time we had more then one Mother character?
Falco: Out of all the clones Falco is the only one I am almost positive will return. He has a pretty decent fan base. I am sure they can devise something for him.
Marth: At first I wasn’t sure if Marth would be coming back. As of now I am still indecisive from what the people have said at e4 about Ike, and then the fact the original FE game is being remade for the DS is coming out. So who knows.
Roy: Though I love him, I think he is gone unless Marth is back, and then he is a costume swap or something of that nature.
Game and Watch: He is back. People said the ice climbers wouldn’t be and what do you know they are. Aside from that the thing about the numbers in the url from smashbros kinda convinced me there.
Dr. Mario: Unless he is a outfit swap he is definitely out.
Pichu: E4 kinda confirmed that Pichu wouldn’t return. What makes me say this? Look at all the E4 videos with Pikachu in it. What are those outfits
Pikas wearing? Oh noes there all of Pichus costume.
Mewtwo: I am indecisive once more when it comes to Mewtwo, I never really used him. Though at the same time I can’t really see a reason to take him out.
Ganondorff: Already confirmed in my eyes according the game dev article.
Young Link: He is out. He will probably be replaced by. A. Wolf Link (I doubt), B. Cell Shaded Link (Most likely), or C. Mask Link (I would like to see this one the most.
Shiek: Already confirmed in my eyes according the game dev article. Aside from that why wasn’t Zelda playable at E4?
Possible Newcomers
Any Other Sonic Character: I doubt it. Like completly.
Ridley: In my opinion he is to big, wouldn't work as a smasher, and I think he will just be a boss. Hence Ridley's Boss music on smashbros.
Geno: I love him, but he won't be there. False hope people. ~Though I can see him as an AT

Brawl has been balancing game teams...but still I say that Metroid team needs atleast a new member (Zero suit samus is just ...samus suitless...same person)..Id say to put a federation trooper..or a pirate..or one of the DS hunters since Sakurai is refering alot to the DS.
