Dark Bunny Lord Anyone play DC Universe online? I wasn't to impressed with it when I played at E3, but looking at some "lets play" videos of the completed version I really want to give it a shot. So question if someone does happen to play, is there a free trial somewhere? I played it, didnt like it.

ele360 Dark Bunny Lord Anyone play DC Universe online? I wasn't to impressed with it when I played at E3, but looking at some "lets play" videos of the completed version I really want to give it a shot. So question if someone does happen to play, is there a free trial somewhere? I played it, didnt like it. Yeah I was unsure really the gameplay was bad at E3 because they didn't bother to explain any of the controls. They just threw everyone together and said "go at it" so I had no idea what button did what or even when I did trigger abilities how they functioned. The video I was watching though made it look like COH/COV without the grindyness or click to cast mechanic (I ******** HATE click to cast, just way overused and the games become mostly sitting down and rotating clicks or keybinds. Warhammer wasn't as bad with it but that was mostly do to a well balanced pvp style). So in short it kinda reminded me, from what I saw, of a mix of vindictus (though without the full depth of the dodging system but with more abilities) mixed with COH/COV. Want to try it but no way I'm shelling out that much until I do just do to the general dissapointment most mmo's tend to be.

The issue I had with DCUO was that it simply is terrible when it comes to certain basic yet core features of an MMO. For example, when an instance spawns with NPC's that (despite their level) can easily damn near kill you 1v1 your first instinct is. Ok, hit one of them and back away so I dont get ganged. Wrong, damn near every NPC is considered huminoid and because of which can communicate with each other, so if you aggro one you aggro them all. Then add in the fact that when you are flying above an NPC you can only actually strike them when you fly low enough to reach them. Mean while if you fly up really high, the nPC's have a sick a** melee range that can still hit you. Case in point: I was standing on top of a ******** hot dog cart swinging down. For some reason im up too high to reach them, yet they are kitting me constantly.
Oh yeah and one more thing, NPC"s are all determined. So like, if you are partied up and you and a friend go try and stop a bank robbery. The NPCs start attacking your friend and hes about to die. There is NOTHING that you can do to make them stop attacking your friend except for stunning them (if you can) and killing them. Even if you are dealing sick amounts of damage to them, they will never change their target.
(Now this is speaking for beta. So I could be wrong as to how it is actually playing now).

Lololol, Monarch deck beats everyone easily now, even without the remaining cards. Killed chim, ameer, and Jeffrey with baby attacks from Samsara Kaiser, Marshmellow dude and the likes cause I felt like ******** around that much.

Thanks =D I followed a similair style to the one on the Naruto Wiki I wanted to follow Kyu's story RP-by-RP so that way I don't forget certain details, like previous goals and achievements. And I got the Marik Structure Deck. My nostalgia drive kicked in and handed the lady at the counter $10 for it xD edit: to answer sai's question, After I try out the cards as is, I might work in my playstyle. The things that Marik's cards can do excites me o-o The deck is actually pretty kick a**, but untested D: If someone wants, I'd be free for an OOC duel at 3 or so :3 @sai: I believe prox or monster they need to sniff that ninja's dirty unmentionables o-o oh wait when did monster post D: I never saw it! I guess that means prox or me =| I'll post later, at 3 or so

@Vash- Marik's deck is so easy to pwn for me xD Specially unchanged and you can't combine it with Out of play because they cancel each other out.
But hey, I'll be free for a duel at like 5 or 6ish. And yea, you should post, Prox's interwebz is down.
