 IT IS MY favourite illustration from the Only War book as it shows something you rarely ever see in 40k art, a conflict other than screaming and roaring while shooting guns at the enemy. You see someone at a vulnerable moment, torn up by the ravages of war, perhaps dealing with the loss of a comrade or coming to terms with what is happening all around her.
It makes for a nice contrast with an earlier picture of the Mordian, where you see her in a clean full dress uniform, standing to attention, pride and confidence radiating in that parade ground stance, not yet exposed to the horrors of war that 40k oh-so gleefully dishes out to everyone.
While I doubt this scene will be replicated much in the actual play sessions, it does add a nice touch to the humanity of the Imperial Guard and the Imperium of Man, something the other publications have been missing out on in my opinion.
Another nice touch is that she is charging her power packs by the fire, a practice not really encouraged, but something veterans in the field are known to do when running low on ammo for their lasguns.

Sir Kyle Aziz Vikki Stardust Sir Kyle Aziz Soo, I had a really insane incounter... I was with a lady, and things were intimate, about to go all the way when she dropped this bomb on me. She actually said; "My body is ready." To me, with I will guarantee 100% no knowledge of Reggie. I couldn't do it, I just couldn't I had to leave. I laughed and cried all the way home. I still can't even believe it as I'm writing it.. So, drugs were involved? eek No, no.. Not for me. Her, I can't say as I don't know. Took a while to get it, but I finally got the reference! sweatdrop
