Nah, the holding your breathe one doesn't work..and I dun feel like getting scared. >__>in seriousness... hiccups occur when you take too deep a breath and your... diaphragm... if Im correct... the hiccup itself occurs when such pressure causes an involuntary spasm, the only cure is to either wait it out or cause such a sharp breath that it gets hit again and the reflex is... for lack of a better word, reset

If you get hiccups hold your breath and plug your ears since your one of you ears are connected directly with the diaphragm.
