The Zonoanic forces had taken Zone L7 of Colony 12b. 4th division was sent out to asses the situation. We found that the enemy forces were currently resupplying, and thus were not currently settled in to defense. After going over the numbers, I realized that by the time we got authorization from HQ, they would be fully supplied, and have workable defenses, not to mention backup forces. That being the case, I authorized an all out assault to take back the zone while the enemy was still off guard.

Can you ******** believe it? Not a single friendly or civilian casualty in the assault and *I* get courtmartialed? Well... Fox gnawed his ******** leg off again, but that happens in about 40% of every battle we're in. If we had waited, we would have been fighting an entrenched force. Fighting while using the COLONY as defense. Total casualties were 32 Zoanic pilots. Period. Waiting would have meant about 76 Zoanic casualties, 7 A.E.D.F. casualties, and I estimate near 450-600 civilian casualties. ********. But I get back and Brigadier General Harnn has a BUG up his ******** a** about "Not following proper channels and procedures". I should have shot him right then. Still would have been less casualties.

.... the security force did. Before I could fire. My biggest mistake was hesitating. In any case, I did hesitate. Now I'm under house arrest, charged with assault of a superior officer and disobeying direct orders, chain of command, et cetera.. And the IA is conducting a Grand Inquiry into my background. Oh, and they took away my Mobile Suit Pilots Permit. ********.
