Do not quote this post, as I will probably want to delete it without a trace. sweatdrop Related to current discussion.
To be honest, I've considered leaving too...it's not so much a "why no1 gift meeeee??1/!" thing as it is a "this is too far up in the general consciousness for me to handle" thing. I'm just...too scared to lose my post count, and too weak to "leave" without actually leaving, so I remain. But it gets rather obtrusive sometimes...I think it's really nice of people to give their friends stuff, but not when they and/or said friends decide to make a huge deal of it in public.
I doubt my opinion can possibly be viewed as anything other than completely unjustified selfishness/schadenfreude/sociopathy, but...it was being said anyway, and I have no willpower! >.>

I don't really want to, either, but I'm trying to make myself better, get over a bad spot in my life, and go back to how I used to act. Seeing threads like Kestin and Val mentioned is not helping this and is in fact making it worse.
So it may end up being that I have to do it, for the sake of being able to go back to my cheerful old self again, where I would stop worrying over every single little thing, freaking out over things that shouldn't matter, and the like.

@Kestin: I quit the guild and stuck around as a non-member. It's surprisingly liberating actually, since it weakens your connections to the place.
Only reason I'm still here is because I have a few friends who wouldn't talk to me once I left >.>;;

That they wouldn't talk to you. Losing contact, sure. There's some people I feel awkward talking to after I haven't for a long time. I expect them to go "lolol, why are you talking to me now" in their heads and I'm like. "asdjfjks.....>,>; Imissedyoushutupiknowit'scheesy" and dun want to deal with that. But if you meant refusing to talk to you? That's.... e3e.

Well, bad day was bad, I finally have a break to write it down. Seperate paragraphs/sentences for seperate things.
Yet another pet of mine is dead, I'm still really, really upset about it. Spent part of my day digging the grave. x.x I really can't handle loss after loss. This is really fawking me up.
Mom hasn't left me alone at all today, she keeps saying I need to see a therapist or "talk" to someone. lolwat? Not entirely sure what she means by that. D8
And <33333 you know just what to do to cheer me up. T___T ilusm<3

Actually, I'm in the same boat about the gifting thing.. confused I think it's great that people are gifting, even if it's a cheap item or a super expensive item. But it's ALWAYS the same ******** people and they always have to make a huge deal out of it.. (I mean yeah, I know these gifters give to other people as well but at least they don't make all these huge threads and s**t..) I swear, the same person got at least 4 or 5 difference gifts, all at least 1Mil+, within the same week, and each time there was a huge thread about it, or a thread edit and that became the main point of the thread.
Great, it's wonderful someone likes you enough to give you an expensive gift but do you always have to "brag" about it? Do you always have to make a thread when someone gives you a super expensive item that half the time you didn't even attempt to quest for? rolleyes
Sure, I made a thread when "someone" (I know who it was but don't ask) gave me my Horns of the Demon because that's over 8Mil.. that's HUGE and yes, I had been questing for them. I actually had 1Mil in my pocket when I did.. But I didn't make a thread every time someone gave me something. Like Kammy, he gave me a Kottan Bell Reunion, RuRu, MC letters and several other items.. but you don't see me making a thread. You don't see me making a thread every time Lady gives me an expensive item like the "Glomp Me!" sign or a gift simply for helping her edit her profile.
Like I said, it's great, it's WONDERFUL that people are that generous. I love to give friends gifts as well but... it gets annoying after a while and as of lately, it looks like the receiver(s) are using these gifts and their friendships with these specific people (the gifters) as bragging rights or something.. instead of politely thanking them in a PM, comment or something.

...... All the talk about gifts makes me glad I don't get any. It'd confuse the living daylights out of me.
Edit: Should've seen that one coming.

Big tension release for me to see someone else say what I'm thinking. >.>;
