Because I was a high functioning womanizing alcoholic making weapons that hurt a lot of innocent people. I was too concerned with asking myself if I could do it instead of if I should do it. Even after everything I've done as Iron Man, I don't know if I'll ever be able to say I did more good than I did bad.
