Oh...I just posted a message about this...but I applied for a position as an event co-ordinator for Gaia-Zine...There's two positions...I really hope I get one! x Mockery x jellykans I knew it! Decided to ask for a date with this guy - looks a bit evil but as though he would never be boring, and LOOK who I picked! Rumpelstiltskin! (Read the img url.) Oops. Didn't catch the img url. *Toddles back to find it. I started out on very mild food, they learned to like herbs and spices and pickles. I love Asian foods, from Japanese (very mild) to Thai (very hot) - not so much Cantonese, although I am told what we get here is actually food developed in this country. (U.S.)

I grew up in Kansas, the home of plain cookin', 100 ways to cook hamburger (chicken comes fried, potatoes mashed, and salad is icberg with sliced tomatoes, cheese is American - Chedar is considered gourmet...ice cream comes in vanilla, strawberry, and chocolate - Neapolitan is considered festive...Casseroles and jello with tons in it are popular, and cakes and pies, vegtables come boiled, with lots of butter and salt... Lol, I am definitely exaggerating, but not all that much. But the food alone was a culture shock when I went to California to college...creamed corn was always served with white pepper, and that was consoidered exotic. When I was in junior high, our foreign exchange student in the high school was from India, and she told our assembly about her 3 weeks of travel in the U.S. before coming to her assigned town for the year. She said that every single night they had everyone's best meal - fried chicken, mashed potatoes, and corn on the cob! And I'm sure she was telling the truth, as it was harvest season for corn, everyone had potatoes, and chicken was always for 'best.' But we all understood when she said she'd had her year's worth of fried chicken in that 3 weeks...sort of. None of us could imagine having that much fried chicken....that we could get tired of it...that was usually reserved for Sundays and/or company...
