Ruffling the shorter girl's hair, he returned to observing the outside world, his mind quietly wandering away. He'd already read everything he wanted from the book anyways. The rest were either unintelligent or unreadable for himself. With a quick movement he leaped onto the window ledge in a sitting position, his heavily armored legs hanging as his robe blew with the outside wind. His fingers tracing the marking of his Clan which was stitched into his robe.

She moved Edward off her lap setting him down in the chair and walking over to the window, the breeze grabbing her hair and pulling parts past him through the window. "You should really be more social, the people here are willing to die to protect our allies. I am sure they would like to get to know the King they seem to protect." Her voice was softer, sweeter, kinder than it had been only moments ago. She played with a small scar that ran on the back of her arm

He twisted his head back, looking at the Lady of the house as he'd come to think of her. She was in charge afterall. Although this house still seemed to be chaotic rather then helpful.
"I don't claim myself a King, I just head my Clan. And besides, so far most of them appear to want to fight me rather then speak to me."
But rather then leave it at that.
"They have good intentions. But then again I'm not the talkative type. Actions speak louder then words as many have said before me. If all I did was talk within my clan before my move to rule, then I'd have likely been stabbed in the back by one of my siblings." He frowned at the thought, returning his gaze to the outside.

She glanced at Moonreaper then back at Genesis"Do not worry about him, he is protective of me as my personal guard. He is tough on ever new comer." She sighed a little pushing her hair back over her shoulder, she moved to lean against the wall by the window "I would not know of siblings wanting me dead, I was an only child. My Father and hunters were who I had to worry about." She closed her eyes "Here words are better than actions, we are none violent unless it is needed. Its against the rules to fight other than sparing and that is done in the forest. And I would not know much about moving up in a Clan, my Bloodlines Clan was destoryed when I was around two thousand, I wondered for anouther four thousand years till I came here and befriended the leader. She gave this place to me when she left, I am merely a place holder till I think Atta is old enough to take her rightful place." She never looked a him just kept her eyes closed as she spoke
Jinx sighed and walked over to her "Your going to upset yourself if you keep talking of your Father, and speaking of the bloodline upsets Cali and Mark. Your really slipping your tongue as of late."
She waved off Jinx "My children know of their past, anyway Mark is tough and Cali has Kuroi, and Edward is asleep so he will know nothing. And I think it is wise to talk of my Father seeing as how the rat basterd is still alive some how." Her voice dropped into a growl it wasn't even very vampire like it was more animal.

"Seems you despise your Father, more then I did my own. He tried to murder me in my sleep at the age of seven. Only light sleep and an eye kept open saved me. That's where I earned this." As he speaks he traces down the scar that runs across his blank white left eye.
"Since then, I found my family no better. Constantly I was rivaled by my older siblings, even then, I didn't want to hold the throne... But they still saw me as competition, trying to eradicate me. They failed and one by one I was their killer." As he went on, he didn't look at the Mistress of the house, only staring out at the grounds.
"Until my Mother was left, I had hoped she wouldn't do me in, instead she sold me into slavery... I know the endurance of cold nights, whippings, beatings, and abuse. The only thing that kept me alive was the thought that I could take that woman's beating heart out of her chest with my bare hands.... And I did... Now it's a nightmare every time that I close my eyes..." He folded his arms across his chest, a frown on his lips once more as he became silent and clenched his gauntlets.

She moved a little "Despise is putting it very lightly." She turned and showed him her back, there was no place that did not hold a scar from a whip, or burns, or cuts "My Father did those, his reason was because I am not good enough for him. I am too weak compaired to him. And the scars on my body are only the start of what he did to me." Her voice grew soft "My family was murdered, killed by hunters. My Daughter and Son killed and things done to them worse than I can say, my wife at the time was killed, my Mother was killed and my Father managed to fake his own death. He recently decided to come back and make it known that he wants me back, for more than just his daughter seeing as I am the last living female of my line." She let her hair fall back into place.
"Lav, you should not talk about what he did to you. You know it upsets up." He looked at Genesis "What she leaves out about what happened to her family was that it was her true nature that planned it all."
Mark looked at Jinx "He does not need to know about Death." He moved walking over to Lady touching her leg "Mother neither Cali nor me blame you for what happened to us, you were not who you are now and you could not stop them." He smiled slightly
She looked down at Mark rubbing the top of his head "I know you do not, but I will always blame myself for not being able to control Death."

*Mercy looked down at the sleeping Edward before jumping off the chair and rushing forward hugging Lady Death around te waist from behind leaning up to kiss and n** at her neck teasing.* "It's obvious it upset you Lav. . . . " *She said agreeing with Jinx. Not wanting to over step her boundries though she let go and spun around in circles. She giggled as a child as the skirt of her dress billowed out and around her. She ran right into Yamimaru before falling to the ground. She was still smiling widely as she tilted her head back to say to the new comer.* "Look Genesis. . . . It's not that everyone wants to fight you. . . nothing like that at all. . . . but you see being as if Lady decides to except you as an allie. . . that means we will all fight for you because she wills it. . . and that would be the only reason. But rather, your being tried out, no one wants a weak allie. . . that's just pointless less you have a family connection. Look the fact is you have to gain your respect and place here because frankly if you have the Moonlight Clan, you will have a very powerful back up. . . . you should be more communitive for those that you are asking for." *Her words weren't of bragging but that of sencerity. She shrugged before looking up and extending her hand for Yamimaru's assistance to get up.*

He twisted, falling from the window only to use his arms to pull himself back up and into the room. Standing up straight he frowned.
"I do not ask to be fought for. I ask for support in my backing. So that my Clan can live and prosper now. If I need to be fought for, my Black Hand will do it for me. My enemies will perish at my every whim. I need not your armies. I need something to strive for, and to become something like this, Clan, this, Family. Is what I am willing to die for." He said with a natural steel backed tone, not harsh of course, just a more leader-like tone.

She looked at Genesis "You can not truly be like us, you can only try and fall short. Here are some of the most powerful vampires outside of the Vampire Council, here we have legends, the Demon Knight who would do anything for me if I only gave the word, here we have the outcasts, and people who wish for peace. We are truly outcasts even amoung vampire because of me. In the end we have no army because it is not needed, no one dares to attack us unless they want to die." She sighed a little "All you can do is try to make your clan more peaceful and change rules." She looked over at Morgan "Welcome Morgan, I do hope you enjoy your stay here." Her voice was empty of emotion

He shook his head.
"I do not wish to be like you in strength. I wish to make my own clan feel like it's a Family. That is what I strive for." He said in re-correction to his statement to be sure he couldn't be mistaken again. He frowned as he looked back out the window, his eyes crossing over the other speaker, only eyeing her for a moment before returning his gaze out doors.

*Mercy looked to Lady Death crossly before flashing a smile at the new comer.* "It is very nice to meet you Morgan. I do hope you have fun in the Moonlight." *She nodded once.* "There are several rooms you are able to choose from if you plan on staying." *She then looked to Genesis and giggled.* "Well then you really should be paying attention here. And don't think that peace within any clan is possible. What sets us apart really is the bond we have. There are constant bickers and fights between the clan members. . . . . but most here want to be here more then any where else, it's not just a safe haven or new territory but that of a home in a sence. . . . here there's little you can do to get kicked out, more or less you are punished by the clan Mistress or she assigns you to be punished to me or another member as she see fit, there is order here. . . . . . That is something every clan needs so I do hope you are taking notes." *She shrugged looking up at him from the floor.* "Good Luck." *She smirked as she said that before turning her head away and looking back to Yamimaru.*

She looked up at the ceiling"My home is a Family because of how we live, because we work at it. We fight like a normal family, petty arguments and such, some do not like each other so they avoid each other. There is love between members, some bonds are closer like by blood, others are merely by knowing the person." She looked at Genesis "I also rule so not to tolerate those who step against me or my rules, when Lunacy comes back ask him what I had done to him when he broke the no fighting rule for the second time after his warning. Ask anyone here who has lived here a while what I do to those who break my rules after they have been warned. The strength I have is what keeps this clan as it is, my want for some normality in my abnormal life keeps this clan as it is." She looked back up at the ceiling, and laughed to herself "It is silly saying that out loud, a mutt like me wishing for normality. I sound like a fool, my life can never be normal." She laughed a little more, though it sounded more off toward the insanity side than a normal laugh.
Jinx touched her hand "Lav, it is perfectly normal for a girl like you to want normality. Or at least some form of it. Your life has never been normal, you merely wish to know what its like." His voice was soothing, it was obvious why he was almost always at her side right now, for any one that knew her it was more obvious that with her Father back her sanity was slipping again.
Mark turned and looked at Genesis "Do forgive my Mother, she is not the sanest of vampires out there. What my grandfather Ivan did to her, what happened over her life time, the bloods that run through her veins that does not mix well. Her sanity is testy at best, and always has been." He reached and touched Jinx's hand "So she has Jinx to keep her in line some." He motioned to Domi "She has Domi, the one who holds the final key to her sanity." He then motioned to Mercy "She has Mercy, the one that keeps her from letting her sanity fall completely." He then motioned to Cali who was leaning against Kuroi, Edward who still slept in Lady's chair, and then himself "And us, her children/ though only one of us is still technocly on this side of life, we help how we can." He looked at Genesis "Her want for some normality in her life is what keeps this clan together. Becareful what you ask of her, its hard to tell when she is having a bad day. You barely missed one of her episodes. I will tell you of her bloods if you wish, I think it wise that Jinx puts her to sleep for the time being." Mark was talkative with the new man, something he rarely did there were few in the clan that he liked and even fewer that he respected.
Jinx nodded at Mark "I was thinking the same thing Mark. Today is not a good day, and Mercy you are not helping much. Your obvious play flirting with Yamimaru is bothering her, that is why Leica showed herself." He moved and touched Lady's forehead mumbling in an ancient form of Russian and her eyes fluttered shut and her body collapsed into his waiting arms. He moved her and layed her on the couch by Kuroi "I hope you do not mind Kuroi." He looked at Kuroi as he covered Lady with a blanket.
Cali moved a little and touched her Mother's leg "Sleep well Mother. You do need some rest, its been months sense you slept." Her voice was still sweet sounding, she quickly curled back up against Kuroi, seeming to attach herself to the man's arm refusing to let go of him.

*Mercy's eyes widened as though she had been struck.* "Shut up Jinx! You don't understand Anything!" *She cried out and hissed and was even suprised at herself since she never ever spoke to him like that. She glared and got up on her own rushing to the couch pushing right past him and sitting on the edge.* "This is payback. . . . I hate it when she makes me feel like I always come second. . . . . . . I didn't think a little jealousy wouldn't make her so . . . . . I just wanted her to know how it felt since she always has my undivided attention." *She looked at him apologetically and bit her bottom lip before stroking Lav's forehead lightly.*
