She nodded and silantly (and quiqly) ran off to her room. She came back a moment later with a new brush, and some black hair ties. She sat on the back of the couch and started brushing his hair waiting for an answer on the other end of the phone.

Rina laughed softly, almost weakly. "Thanks. I'll change my clothes and come on over. Hey, do you still make that extra sweet cake you're so good at baking? You know it was one of my favorites before...well, before we lost touch," she said with the phone pressed to her cheek, supported by her shoulder. Rina shrugged out of her jacket as she said this, digging through the cardboard box for a clean shirt.

Sam's eyes dropped closed and he hummed softly from happiness, enjoying the attention to his long hair.

Yuki giggled. "Of course I still make it, which reminds me. I need Sam to try some, too! I made some a couple days ago, it's still fresh! Just the way I used to make it." she answered, noticing Sam's happiness made her smile even more. "Next thing you know I'll be painting your nails black and taking you to a goth/skater store or something." she murmered to Sam, so Rina couldn't hear. A smile still on her face.

Samuel lightly licked his lips at the thought of eating some more of Yuki's cooking then he blinked, his pretty eyes widening a bit. "E-ehh? G-goth store?" he asked, wondering why she would take him to a place like that.

She giggled at his reaction. "Yep. To get you skin tight pants with chains, and blood red contact lenses." she said as she finished braiding his air.

Rina smiled, euphoric at the thought of the desserts she used to enjoy. She placed the phone down for just a moment, quickly swapping shirts and jeans. She picked up the phone again while dragging her brush through her long hair. "That's awesome! I'm on my way out now. I still remember where you work, so don't worry. I'll see you in a few," Rina said to Yuki and clicked the disconnect button with a beep. Stuffing her arms through her usual ratty black denim jacket, she pulled on a dark green knit hat with a small points resembling cat ears at the top and wrapped a thin scarf around her neck, remembering the snow. Then, messenger bag slung over one shoulder, she ran out of her apartment complex once again.

Samuel's eyes widened even further at the thought of wearing such things, especially making his eyes go from green to bright red. "E-eh?! B-but w-why do I-I need th-the contacts?" he asked, tilting his head back to look at her with his wide eyes.

She clicked off the phone and burst out laughing. "I was just kidding Sam!" she tried to stop laughing. "S-sorry. That's not funny." she laughed again. "But yuor r-reaction was so... so funny!' she fell off the back of the couch and continued laughing on the floor. When she was finished she apologized fifty times more, and calmed down. "Sorry," she repeated again. "But it was pretty funny."

Sam blinked a few times, his eyes still wide with a very confused look on his face. He turned on the couch and peered over the back of it to watch Yuki laughing hysterically on the ground. "A-ahh..?" he lightly tilted his head, watching her with curiousity and confusion. "Y-you just w-wanted to see m-my r-reaction?"

Walking briskly through the still busy streets, Rina had to push through a bunch of crowds. With her haste to get to the cafe, she ended upn slipping a few times on the frozen grounds. She muttered a few personal remarks under breath before turning a corner and stopping in front of a familiar door. Then, taking in a lungful of cold air, she knocked loudly on the door.

She finally stopped laughing and said, "Sorry, that was mean, most of my old friends said, 'Sure if it makes me cool.' but you're not vain like them, so it was funny to hear tha-" she was cutr off by the door. "That's Rina!" she yelled standing up and getting te door. "come on in!" she said leading Rina to the couch. She ran into the kitchen and came out with three plates of chocolate cake that had chocolate chips and chocolate glaze. "Here you go, Rina. Here you go, Sam. Enjoy!" she said sitting down next to Sam.

Samuel blinked and tilted his head then blinked again when the cake was put in his hands. Now that Rina was here, Sam was even more shy than he was around Yuki. He quietly munched on his cake, staring down at it as his cheeks turned a faint red color.
