he was so embarrassed.
he had fallen right on top of her.
and what was it that he grabbed?
Oh lord he hoped he hadn't squeezed anything he shouldn't have.
he was trying to apologize again but most of what he said was totally gibberish and involved waving his hands with an embarrassed look on his face. facing in a direction a good 90 degrees to the left of gren.

i couldn't resist any more. i was laughing so hard that i was surprised i didn't fall over. "i'm. . . over here." i gasped between laughs. it was a good minute until i had stopped. i wiped a couple tears from my eye. i had laughed too hard. "don't worry. you didn't touch anything. just my shoulders and face" i laughed again. "it's fine"

Jane looked over at Gwendar. "Not by human standards. Nebride and I are sisters through our priestess heritage and our love for each other. We have been best friends since we were born and we know all of each others secrets."

Nebride could hear Jane and Gwendar talking up ahead. She decided to hang back and see how this worked out. It would be nice if her bet friend and soon-to-be husband got along well. "At least something good will come out of today."

Her eyes distant Ilana knelt beneath the oak tree her mind whirling through anything that might help Gren, What to do about that witch hunter, how to make it up to Nebride, and what to do for the wedding..... Soon she began to rock slightly stabbing the earth with one of her daggers.
"Damn! Too much in too little time. I'm not a wind or water elemental..." Looking up at the clouds she sighed. "Ok. Bounderies first then Nebride then Gren...." Stepping into the oak she paused. Something didn't feel right. The trees were crying something. Was it the witch hunter? Submerging completely she infused herself with the forest concentrating. All she could hear were the thousands of cries from the plants and earth, nothing stood out nothing could get through. Giving up she focoused her energy to erecting barriers around her forest and the village.

elazul started to think about how to do defend the village he had defened villages before and had even raided them before he class A merc and now he would have to put every trick in the book to work here and then he got a idea from a raid he was one once where only three of the 24 merce sent survived *puts a hand on graels shoulder* no i got a better plan *he said as he was already drawing a map out in the dirt* we have maybe 2 weeks till they get here so here what we can do first we need to cut down this small copse of trees and use them as a roller (a trap that when you cut rope the wood rolls down and crushes the enemy underneath) and second we need bows have the weapon smith the carpenter and every one else make enough bows for every one if they are strong enough to pull back a bow string they get to fight second we need to have small trenchs dug around the the camp in the woods so that we may be concealed and also we will need decoy tents made s that they maybe set on fire or fill full of smoke power (a highy explosive powder) *he said and drew his map in te dirt and felt a giant smile come on to his face but at the same time saw the giant frown grael was wearing*

he looked back at Jane.
it was amazing the amount of friendship these people had. if only humanity acted more like the elves. he noticed that she said she knew all of Nebrides secrets. what secrets could she have?
"well im glad you two are friends. its a pity i do not posses friends like you. " he said regretting his decision to allow Sek to come here.
"it doesnt matter. i suppose i dont need a best man. besides i want to learn more about the people i will soon be in charge of" he said
he didnt know if Nebride had told them all but the emperor did say that this land was now his. the only reason the elves could stay was becuase he had used a loophole to hire them as staff.
"Nebride did tell you about my ownership of the forest...didnt she?"
Togan:
even more embarrassed he turned to face Gren. she was laughing at him quite alot.
"w-well im glad i didnt accidently hurt you" he said with a red face.
Hellmancer:
he could sense the trees themselves crying in fear of his presence.
"Even the earth itself trembles in my wake"
he needed to fight. he needed to kill.
"a forest like this must have some sort of spirit bound to it" he said in a ghoulish tone.
with several dark prayers he used his newly gained powers to find any spirit he could find.
that was when he noticed that one had indeed tryed to sense him.
his powers now so dark and chaotic he was undetectable by her.
elemental spirits and the like could only sence things in there respected lands.
becuase of his chaotic powers the land he stepped on was no longer that of harmony's but that of Chaos.
"Come to me spirit so i may feast on youre inhuman flesh" he said embedding his words deep into her thoughts.
Grael:
he looked at Elazul. he didnt like his plan it would put to many people in harms way.
"inst there another way...couldnt we just pack up and flee into the forest?"

Shocked Ilana emerged from a weeping willow her hands clasped over her ears. That voice! That pressence! Shaking slightly she slowly pushed herself up. Wiping some sweat off she Sprinted off to the village not bothering to notify Nabride before hand.
"Nabride! Nabride where are you! Nabride!" Ignoring the shocked and terrified looks of the elves aroudn her, many following her calling out.

Jane smiled. "Nebride sent my the information before you arrived. I have fed it to several other important members of the tribe. They well spread the word. Don't worry---it will be fine." She stopped and cocked her head to the side. "Is that...Ilana? But she never comes into the village unless there's trouble." Jane grasped Gwendar's arm. "Let's go--this must be important if she's come in here to see Nebride."

Nebride stopped and listened. Ilana was yelling for her, and she sounded upset. Without hesitation she went to find her. "Ilana, what is it? What's the matter? What has happened?" She grasped the arms of the hysterical earth spirit. "Talk to me!"

at that moment Ilana felt a sharp pain cross her mind. as if he had just set it on fire. it was not a great pain but it was enough for her to notice
the pain soon subsided.
"and thats nothing compared to what atrocity's i can commit to your precious forest"
he didnt know who she may be talking to but he could tell she was trying.
to show her he was serious he went to a nearby tree and placed his hand on its trunk.
the bark on the tree itself started to rot and wither. the branches of the tree literally bleeding. the tree had turned into some red hellish living creature.
it mounded and screamed bleeding and dying.
"you will do exactly what i say....or you and your forest will die" he said laughing

Collapsing before Nabride she grabbed her head growling. Franticacly her mind rushed through any ideas. "I don't know... something close... attacking the land...AAAAAAAAAAH!" Grabbing her head she doubled over in agony. The trees around them began to shake noticably outside the wind. <******** you! I will not fail them again.

"Something attacking the land?" Nebride looked around as the tress began to shake. "What could do such a thing." She watched as Jane ran up pulling Gwendar behind her.
"Nebride---what's going on? What's wrong with Ilana?" Jane looked down at the earth spirit as she clutched her head.
"There's something attacking the land." Nebride straightened. "Take Ilana somewhere safe--somewhere nobody will bother her, and please---stay with her. Gwendar, come with me."
Jane nodded as she helped Ilana to her feet. "Come on Ilana--you're going to be fine."
Nebride began to walk away as Gwendar follow her; she headed for the temple. She had not said anything to Jane, but she had felt the force--she had felt the destruction that caused Ilana so much pain. "What could be doing this?"

he saw the trees sway...almost unnaturally.
he saw Nebride run off and folowed close behind her.
"Somethings happening....but what?" he asked her.
Hellmancer:
"WRONG CHOICE!!!" his voice boomed in her head.
he immediately at that moment burnt several of the surrounding trees slowly.
he laughed his ghoulish laugh until he recognized a familiar being.
"ITS THEM!!....the ones who killed me......they shall pay." he yelled
"ELEMENTAL....you will bring me those you are with....if you do not i shall take your body and commit such horrific crimes that even the creatures of hell will cry for you. you are mine creature.....if you refuse i shall tear your body in two"
Grael:
"fine ill tell the people.....as for the others i have no idea"

Nebride stumbled and gasped. She had felt the force directed at Ilana. "My God....what is it? It's horrible, it's.....evil." Nebride turned to face Gwendar. "I don't know what it is, but it's essence of evil is strong, very strong."
Nebride stood up straighter. "We're going into the temple for answers. Come with me, Gwendar."
