I should say not, but now I'm curious. What would they need sand for at a party like this? I think I see a tarp as well. What on earth?
*The pair could go on speculating, but if they were truly curious, they could always follow the men and see what was happening. The sand and other items appeared to be on the move towards the doors. What ever was going on, it was outside away from the party*

*Bell nods quietly struck into silence by the strange event taking place.* Should we get a closer look or would that be bad?

Well it doesn't look like they are in any hurry to get to where they're going, or being very stealthy about it. I think it would be all right to see what they're up to.
*Nana could probably use the air anyways, so it would take out two birds with one stone. It would be but a moment before Nana stareted to head towards the doors, Bell hopefully in tow. At least it was something for the women to do while they waited, and socialized*

The girls werent' the only ones slightly at odds with the seemingly unusual sand bags. Twi himself raised an eyebrow at the caravan of men. "But I didn't even finish my drink yet...." It was his only comment on the speed of the retrieval. Either way, at least his main objective was now complete. He still wondered about the sandbags. "Complimentary gifts of the house?" It was rather obvious he was talking about the odd pieces of luggage. Twi's only self made explanation was that they were 'in my home country we conduct transactions with sandbags' thing. He doubted it was correct.
"Pardon my intrustion." Griffin would find Than facing toward him from his side, having walked over from his conversation with KB. Than was about as tall as Griffin, perhaps a little shorter, but the blind boy didn't seem to have a way of confirming this, as his head was kept straight. His hand was held out toward Griffin. "I apologize if I'm unaware of the proper introduction etiquette, but seeing as there aren't many parties left here, I thought it wouldn't be very becoming to be unsocial with the last few attendees." Probably the first non-condescending introduction he'd had all night.

*Bell would indeed follow behind Nana. She was obviously as curious as her mother.*
*Griffin would look up and recognize Than right away. His eyes narrow but his voice does nothing to betray him as it is calm and cool.* Ah, No matter. My mother is gone so there is no reason to make a show of it. *He extends his hand and gives Than a firm shake.* Thank you for your company.

"After a fashion." A light smirk would cross The Count's lips before he grabbed a glass and spoon, tappong them together lightly in order to get attention. "I would like to thank everyone who indulged their curiosity tonight and made the journey here. As a small thank you, I have arranged for a small show outside. At your discretion, I move that we take this time now to enjoy it." If everyone was going to follow, then Bell and Nana would soon have company on their heels as everyone should now be headed out towards the large doors, to the front of the temple. After this spot of entertainment, the guests could decide to continue on, or head on home. If they wished to stay The Count was more than happy to oblige, but some of the attendees did look fatigued or perhaps just bored.

A small show? It wasn't exactly something Twi expected to happen after his negotiations and hoped it didn't have anything to do with him. Not only did Twi despise being a showboat outside of combat, he figured Val would be all too willing to show off his strength if he showed up now. "Ah... right then....." Twi started moving to a more comfortable position to watch the odd show. At the same time, he tapped his figure by his ear, tapping into a nanobot based com system. "Yo, cronies. This is your great and wonderful first lieutenant speaking. We've got the items we need. One of you get your asses over here. I don't care who, just as long as you can carry stuff." He said it in plain voice, not caring who heard him. A moment after, there would come a confirmation response from none other than Twi's adopted goof.
"Got it pops. We'll send someone quick and swiftly." Twi turned off the com link after that. Although, he could have sworn that just before he disconnected he heard several people starting to shout 'rock, paper, scissors'.
It was Griffin's lucky day that Than was obviously blind, so there was no way for his facial contortion to give him away. All that could give Griffin away at this point was if Than had preknowledge of Griffin's familiarity with his mother's memories. "With all due respect, I'm not going to bind my opinion of you to either of your parents. I don't think it would be fair or beneficial to do so." It was simply Than's way of trying to quell any prejudice. Of course, Than was guilty of many prejudices against Griffin even before coming to the party. He slowly allowed his grip to loosen on the prince's hand. He briefly turned toward the direction of the Count upon his announcement. Figuring they could talk while moving, Than started walking casually in the direction of the entrance. "That said, I'd also like you to know that I am aware of who you are... so you don't need to feel an reason not to be candid with me...."

*Being farther ahead, Nana hadn't fully heard what the count had said, only something about a thank you, and the word 'outside' a place she and Bell were approching now. The tall doors made Nana and Bell look much like ants when peering around it. Hopefully the doormen wouldn't see them, but-- well it didn't matter much really if they did. What they were doing made the two women curious, there should be no problems just from that*

Around the corner several men had laid out the tarps, and cut open the sand bags, emptying them out onto the tarp surfaces. After a small pile had been made, the cylindrical objects were wedged into the sand. It looked as if the men were waiting for something after that, or preparing other similar object, so that they could be wedged into the sand. It was a mysterious spectical, if one didn't know what the men were up to.

At the sound of the spoon rapping against the glass the Overseer looks up from the scrolling text on the inside of his visor. With his focus moving away from the text it dims and allows him free vision as he listening to the Count. He listens politely and smirks as the Count announces the spectacle to come. Along with others he heads for the door to view it.

Tegral's interest in the party was rather minute, his cool blue eyes following Twilight and, now named, host of the party while they conversed back and forth with one another. The thought of something, anything, to occupy the semi-aware Admiral, was a god send! So, being fairly close to the door himself, Tegral made a solitary trek towards the outside, where he found Bell and Nana watching the men.
Behind the women Tegral's voice would sound, his optical scopes zooming past their heads to the 'strange cylinders' and tarps covered in sand, "They look like fireworks, or something." Whether or not he was talking to the women wouldn't be a certainty, as he wasn't addressing either directly, "Tarps to protect the ground and dirt to protect the tarps from flames."
Cute...

*Bell shrugs away from everyone but Nana, keeping behind the woman, tucked away. She wasn’t doing this to be rude, or for any certain reason actually, just habit. She doesn’t speak, just watches silently.*
*Griffin walks with great strides his hands returning to his pockets.* I’d rather not be candid with you. I'd rather pass my own judgments in the here and now, since these memories seem out dated. *Griffin was surely making at stab at the fact that Than had become…less than he was before.*

!!
*Nana's heart would jump a little, hearing the admiral behind herself and Bell. A little startled but alive, Nana would catch her breath before turning back to Tegral and speaking, though her answer was only a stuttered word. Briefly Nana would look back to Bell, she reminded Nana of her own children, hiding behind a slip of fabric, a wing, what ever they could to remain hidden, it was cute in a way though at the same time made Nana long for 'home'*
P-perhaps.

Mastema would also be heading toward the outside. He'd had his share of enjoyment for the moment.
"That's candid enough for me," was Than's reply to Griffin. Than did have to admit it was a better response than expected, and by better it was meant it raised Than's opinion of the prince.... slightly. He half grinned and half smiled. "If that's your position, then I'll try my best to give you the real representation of what I am 'here and now'." Than took the probable stab at his relatively recent blindness in good humor. It would be Griffin's folly if he thought the new disability indicated an overall decrease in Than's ability. Another obvious difference from Kai's memories would be Than's much firmer and overall larger build. A solid year of physical training was to thank for that, though it couldn't be seen in full since this was one of the few times Than would be seen wearing a full shirt. "At least someone thinks old memories are outdated.... Frankly, I've seen little to nothing tonight to mean to me that anything out here has changed since my last time out of that forsaken fish bowl."

*Bell remains behind Nana. Silently watching since there isn’t much to say on the matter.*
Forsaken fish bowl it may be, but you crawl back to it often enough don’t you. *Griffin chuckles, he wasn’t meaning to be cruel, just stating a harmless fact. Griffin was sure he could never be friends with this man anyways, considering his connection to the man that had caused his mother so much grief.*
