I am not really a big fan of many of those at all. I mean, you could get away with a few, but my favorite ones are possibly the CO2 bomb and the Molotov cocktail. Other than that, the ones that don't concern explosives are pretty good.

I was questioning the Thermite explosive and the Napalm one... would this work?
Aluminum powder + Iron Oxide (pure rust) + Magnesium ribbon (as a trigger) = bomb that can melt metals?

or

Unleaded Gasoline + Styrofoam = sticky/gel-like gasoline or "Napalm"?

Well, I have never tried, but the gasoline + Styrofoam sounds like it may work. As for the thermite, I would personally rather stick to the tried and true military issue thermite grenades. You and I both have no idea what will truly happen if we try the iron oxide and magnesium amalgamation.

Yeah, I'm gonna run off to Wally World and buy me a crate of Military-issue Thermite Grenades... rofl
Hey, any ideas on how to build a guass cannon, per chance? The one I built for my 7th grade science fair project was just a kinetic guass cannon, but I was looking more into building the kind with two straight metal bars, the projectile between them and the electrical jolt that shoots through them to launch the projectile, but I'm a little unsure about how to make it so that the electrical shock is a single, strong jolt instead of a constant current, ya know? I'm gonna go ask my step-dad, he knows how to make lots of stuff... he just made a hydrogen fuel module for his car and my mom's SUV to save on gas mileage... maybe I'll ask him if I can start collecting rust, too...

Heh.

I am not much of a technician, so I can't help you much there. I can make a couple of things, but beyond carbon dioxide powered spud guns and a few others, I won't be able to teach you anything new.

Ahh, the incompetent skills of the 'net. I'm finding many different ways of how to construct one, buy one, and seeing experimental weaponry @_@ I think I'll just ask my science teacher to help me ninja

Bad idea. The more people who know of what you are doing, the more people who will know what you did.

She said that building one was a great idea, something new and interesting 3nodding I've found out how to build it, but I have only one real problem... A timing device. Perhaps you know how to help me?

You see, when you charge a coil (run a simple current through it; I'm gonna use a large battery) it becomes magnetic, pulling the projectile (going to be a 12mm steel BB) towards it. But once it reaches it, it needs to shut off or it'll just pull it back. The coils need to be turned on/off in a certain order and timing for the entire thing to work. I'm thinking of using five coils, but I have nothing to do the timing with. Doing it manually would be hard, and I wonder if there's some sort of electronic piece out their that might help me with the timing, I'll have to ask my science teacher on that one... Any ideas?

Here's how I would do it:

First, instead of just using magnets to pull, you should use them to push too. If you the magnets with opposite charges on each end (polar magnets if I am not mistaken) as bullets, with either the positive or negative side -all that will change is you will flip the order- facing forward and two lines of their attracting magnets with spacing to allow repelling magnets in between, activating the attract before the projectile reaches their location and the repel after the projectile has reached the location, then the missile will reach more than twice the velocity it would if you just pulled it.

I would use break-beam eyes to determine when the attract/repel were activated/deactivated instead of a timing device, so that way, you don't have to find an intricate, super-fast timing device and then have to pay for it and experiment for arduous weeks, months, years, to find the proper timing.

And make it long. REALLY long.

/e understands half of what you're saying.

Thing is, I'm using BB's as ammunition, and charging them would be hard... My friend is trying to build a perpetual motion machine out of magnets, but of course the magnets would someday run out...

So... what's a break-beam eye?

A break beam eye is a sight system kind of like those red laser beams you see in Hollywood Movies (note: the beams are infrared, NOT red). They set off devices or don't set off devices if there is something in between the receiver and the transmitter.

Ahh. I've just decided on one coil (for now) for simplicity. 3nodding

Also, someone who used my PC installed some anti-spyware program that also installed spyware. (so basically, it installed "test" spyware) it finds the spyware, lists where it is but it prompts you to pay for the program before it deletes them. So whoever put it on my computer is getting punched in the teeth... anywhat, the spyware includes trojans, pop-ups, IP trackers... so I'm saving only certain things to my external hard drive and then wiping my PC, so I may be gone for a few days. Sorry sweatdrop

The best protection you can get is to install only known and trusted programs, and to browse only trusted sites. Other than that; Norton and Spybot S&D are the best advice I can instill in your head.

Well as soon as I can hijack a copy of Norton from my school's IT lab I'll have it on my PC. Until then my techie friend form New York sent me some freeware anti-virus+firewall programs which temporarily do the trick. It's just re-installing most of my stuff is the problem... I saved most of my media on an XHD so I've got most of my computer's memory. ^_^;;

Well, get Spybot S&D free from the interwebbs. The protection Is outstanding for it being a free program.

And get your own copy of Norton, it is well worth the $.
