Keeping Skye on her arms, Kara picked up her bag and headed to the living room. She was sure she had everything including the plant that she was given, hoping it would keep while in there.
Miyu in the mean time was watching Serenity pack and walking around her, and simply being underfoot at the moment.

Getting up from where he was, Donovan made his way inside, raising a brow at what he saw. He grabbed Miyu before anyone could accidently step on the girl.
"Stop that, you look like someone gave you sugar."

Serenity laughed. "It's probably just the excitement of going home again," she grinned at Donovan, in quite a fine mood and looking rather younger than she had at the beginning of the week. She paused when she saw Kara and Skye, and half-turned to get a better look at them.
"Is Skye all right?" she asked worriedly, her brow furrowing slightly.

Skye kept her head against Kara's chest and remained motionless, save her eyes which - though half closed - were taking in all the activity in the room.

"She's homesick," Kara replied gently, "She has never been away for this long, and it's hard to explain it all to her," she admitted.
Poor child, it was fun while it lasted for her.
"We only have to walk a little ways out," Kara told Serenity, "To get back."

Serenity smiled. "That's good," she murmured. "It will be nice, I think, to see your world ... and especially to see Elnara again." She tucked the letter into her pocket and slung her clothes over her arm, then reached out and stroked Skye's head.
"Perhaps we should get going," she murmured softly. "For Skye."

Kara nodded, "Agreed," she replied making sure they had everything.
She hoped maybe to visit again soon, if for no other reason finding out how much had changed seemed a bit sad to her. Kara hoped at least, that Ulani and Ulrich would not be too lonely or caught up in their memories... the bad ones anyhow.

Donovan nodded, "Let's go," he muttered holding Miyu close as he exited the house.
He wondered where the other two were, at least he didn't see that damn cat around. It wasn't far, just in a few bushes bit ways away from the home.

Ulani and Ulrich were both already outside, sitting on the front porch. They rose as the others came outside, both of them cheerful but subdued both in their expressions and tone.
"You'll give our regards to Elnara?" Ulani reminded Serenity, giving her a quick hug. "And find out more about this fellow she's been spending time with?"
Serenity smiled and hugged Ulani back. "Of course I will," she replied with a grin. "And I'll be back ... I don't know when, but hopefully in time to see Daeron next year. We'll see what happens."
Ulrich held out one hand towards Donovan to shake it. "It was good to see you again," he grinned. "You'll come back, of course?"

Donovan nodded, "Yes, I don't know if it'll be through here again or not, but I'll probably be back."
He thought to himself, that yes he would probably be back, more than once. There was an oppurtunity here that cannot be missed really.

Kara smiled, "Don't worry, if we get her back in about two weeks or so our time, she should be back in time for next year."
It took a while to do calculations by hand, but that is what she roughly came up with.

Ulani grinned. "All right then ... I bid you all safe journey." She stepped back up onto the porch and gave them a quick wave.
Serenity smiled and turned to Kara and Donovan. "So ... which way?"

Kara waved at the two of them as she took a few steps down the porch leading towards the place they came into this world. Getting farther away from the house.

Donovan was the one who spot the marking, the runes that seemed to be part of the tree as it was overgrown. Really the runes weren't really on there, it was just a reflection of the door that they entered through.

SErenity followed the others closely - she had absolutely no idea where they were going, or what the portal might look like.
