((>.> I know how it works. xD No problems on my end. My roll is -1 (int mod)
AND I ROLL A 1!!!! That's 0, so utter fail... watch this... >.>))
Kazuma looked at his sensei and noded slowly, though there was no real instruction and he had not had any formal training what-so-ever in using chakra, he focused his 'chakra' to feet and they started to tingle and walked up to the tree still trying to focus his chakra to his feet and even before he reached it his chakra in his feet gathered and exploded sending him rocketing into the sky about five or six feet. An impressive jump considering it wasn't even intended. But he feel right on his back and knocked the wind out of him. "a-a-a-ow..." as the silent statement was released out of him after a moment.

((@Kazuma Yes by all means I never want to restrict your ability to post. For now if I'm not on when you need to talk to Nadiya to get your hint thing, you dont need to wait for me to lower the DC, just pretend I said something and keep going. Later on when we do more stuff that does require mine or someone else presence, and I/they arent on, you can do training posts simeltaneously even though it would technically be happening at a different time and I'll award you all the XP and skills you would get from training. So you essentially have the ability to be in two places at once to compensate for waiting for others in missions/exersizes.
@vain alright Well I'll give you a step by step thing for this exersize. Im just gonna go through it all, cause Im not sure what you do and don't know. First off, DC stands for either difficulty class or dice check, they both mean the same thing. Essentially it means if something is DC 15 for example to beat it, you would roll a 20-sided dice (Ill talk about that in a second) and if it 15 or higher, you pass. Now DC 15 is rediculous standalone. That is only a 25% success rate. That's where skills and ability points come in. You're low level, so the odds are technically even worse against you but it gets so much better. Starting from the begining is great because you get way more experience and skills getting to level 10 then if you were to just start right off at level 10. But for you, you're abilities are: Strength: 10| mod = +0 Dexterity: 8| mod = -1 Constitution: 9| mod = -1 Intelligence: 9| mod = -1 Wisdom: 9| mod = -1 Charisma: 9| mod = -1 Chakra: 8| mod = -1 If you have a DC 15 intelligence check, that means you look at your intelligence number and you would add the number next to the mod= to your roll. Since you're brand new, and you're stats start out pretty bad, your intelligence mod is actually -1, making the DC 16. Thats worse, but it isn't like that forever, trust me. Rolling dice is easy. above this window that Im typing the message in right now, there's color, size, align, style, and action. Click on the little box under Post Action and click on the Roll Dice option. A new purple window shows up with two little boxes in there. First Box:Select Dice. There are different kinds of dice, most with a purpose in RP. By far the most used one is the 20 sided dice. It is used for attacks, skill checks, really anything with a DC attached to it and saves. There might be others, but they are slipping me at the moment. So for this exersize that has a DC, you will click on select dice and choose 20 sided. Number of Dice: simple, you are only making one check so you roll one dice. In later levels you get more than one attack which would call for more than 1 dice. Here is a sample post for reference and what not. And working with people who know the system will make it easier.
Rush looked up at the tree, menacing in its natural squalor. It bore no malice against him yet has his toughest foe yet. The process of focusing chakra in his feet was foreign and called for more than he could handle. But that was the ideology of a quitter. Rush wasn't a quitter. He stood, bearing the weight of unfocused chakra, and concentrated. He tried to feel the chakra veins, vessels to transport the precious life energy about him, and he tried to move it to his feet. When he guessed he had it he looked at the tree and charged at it with all the determination to get up there, stepping on the bark, preying his foot would stay on it without overbearing or weakly sliding off.
Here is where you would write down your information below.
DC:18 You put the exersize information in your posts so you dont have to keep looking at the original one for reference
d20+2(Int mod) You would write down what it is that will make up your final number to see if you beat the DC. In this case it consists of a ds0 (20 sided dice) and your intelligence modifier)
4/10 passedYou would write down how many successes you have thus far just to keep track
Hopefully this helps you. If you have any further questions, simply ask))

((WAHOO!!! I'll have this done in no time. 3nodding ))
Kazuma gets up not exactly sure of what happened. But he went up close to the tree and focused his chakra to his feet and placed them against the tree trying to gain a balance on it trying to regulate his chakra but something happened and he all of a sudden let lose of the tree with his feet and went a fell to the ground, yet again landing on his back. Not as bad this time meaning what they is true, you eventually get used to pain.

Kazuma got back up and brushed himself off as he refocused his chakra back to his feet and slowly walked up the tree's side. He had made it past his old mark and continued walking up it smiling that he had finally got a hold of his chakra and focused it just a slight bit better. He bend his head backwards looking at Gwendolyne hoping his recent success would be enough to wow her just a slight bit.

Kazuma's success was short lived though as his feeling's broke his concentration on his control and gave to much breaking the bark and losing his own footing, but due to his head being bent back he flipped and landed on his feet and looked around acting as if that's what he meant to do. It wasn't as if he did, but playing it off to impress Gwendolyn was something he wanted to do.

Thats right, I forgot to mention. If you roll a 20, you automatically pass a DC or hit with an attck no matter what and a 1 fails a DC or misses an attack no matter what.

((That's kind common sense... >.> seeing as how there will never be a passing DC of 1, and that if you roll a 20 you have some god luck... I just wish you said the 20 would be considered 2 successes. mrgreen
Damn rolled a 18... I need 19 or 20 to pass cause of that damned -1 Int Mod... >.<))
Kazuma refocuses his chakra again to walk up the tree and as he does he slowly walks up it again and nearly instantly breaks the bark again. He wouldn't fall back but be pushed back by the force exerted. Kazuma had learned the force his own chakra could make, this was interesting to him for future reference. (Thought of a Ninjutsu like Taijutsu. xD I'll make it when I think I can learn it.) Kazuma smiled at this progress, even if he had just failed almost everytime he had tried.

((AND THE LORD SAID ASKETH AND YOU SHALL RECEIVE!!! scream ))
Kazuma again unfaltered by his failures took back to the tree after focusing on his feet. He knew he had to get it just right trying to get the feeling once again. The thought that he was attempting Genin training never crossed his mind. Just the thought of becoming the best he can as soon as he can. His foot steps which were slow and careful were the reason he would never get too high since he didn't want to experience too high of a fall just yet.

((Yeah, my computer screws it up sometimes too. Yeah the 1 thing really sucks sometimes when attacking. I was fighting a puppet I think it was and it had a dodge bonus of 14 and I had an attack bonus of 32 but rolled a 1 and so technically a 33 misses in that scenario which is annoying. But it happens. Damn your luck man! 2 20s so far, thats too much XD))

((xD I love my luck today, that's why I wanted to go psycho posting.))
Kazuma went just a light higher and felt himself slipping and he quickly reached up to hug the tree to keep his place and to keep from falling. He sighed as he looked at his sensei hoping she would give him some advice on how this worked. He wasn't certain if he was doing it right or not. He had had some successes but he need a pointer or two to help him were he was failing.

((But where there is good luck there is bad.))
Kazuma heard the words of his sensei and let go of the tree and then stood all the way up channeling his chakra and shooting him of the tree backwards and falling on his back yet again. This wasn't going quite the way he had hoped it would as he looked up at Gwendolyne who's feet he had feel in front of. He blushed lightly as he got up and pretended as if it didn't hurt.

((Just to think... I'd have 5 Successes if you gave some instruction before we started. xD))
Kazuma ran up to the tree focusing his chakra to feet and leaped up on the tree and started to climb it but not too shortly after that he broke the bark yet again under the sheer force of his over exerted chakra. And he again feel back and but flipped just right to land on his hands and knees at least, not really scraping them, but rather rubbed some dirt into it.

Nadiya watched the one boy try. He actually did quite well for no instruction or practice. Well to be fair, he screwed up and just slid off the tree most times, but there was one or two times that he made a few steps of progress which was a lot more than she would have expected. She smiled and after a few discouraging attemps she kneeled down over to him and spoke a few words to ease the struggle a tad.
"Alright listen. Chakra. It is a life force. It flows in you exactally does your blood. If you tightly grab your wrist, you can see the vessels in which your blood travels. Chakra isn't as visible, but you can do the same thing with concentration. Concentrate chakra to the feet and you will be able to go farther."
She hoped that helped him. He was making good progress, exciting Nadiya so she couldn't wait to keep teaching them all.
((EDIT: I forgot to mention. I love creative descriptive lengthy writing. Now this is not critical on you Kazuma, you are writing at a completely acceptable rate. This is just a heads up to everyone, the more words you have bonus xp is offered. It isn't amazing amounts, but making posts interesting is never a bad thing to strive for.))

Kazuma had gotten back up again brushing himself off as he got ready for another go streaching a little bit to help ease the tenseness of his sore body from hitting the dirt so many times and then made a pseudo handseal to help him better concentrate. And he went back up the tree trying to get further but unfortunately an unlucky break happened for him and he slipped yet again flipping to stop his fall. His hands by now had several small scraps but Kazuma was never one to complain.
