Lord Changeling *Flitara's violet eyes widened at the gold and starred cat that picked his way through the snow. He pranced like some regal prince, and the disgust on his face almost made her think he was stepping in something far more disgusting then merely snow. Her ears tilted slightly backwards against her head, though she did not cringe back, but rather tilted her head to get a better view of this cat. Her own purple and green wings were still partly outstretched, so the light that fell down through the bare tree branchs struck upon the delicate membranes and cast a colorful pattern in the snow around her, much like light through a stained glass window. Taking a small step towards the unknown cat, she allowed a faint smile to pull at her lips* Ah...hello...? I'm Flitara.... *He bowed his head in greeting, this regal, unknown feline of the wood. His strong, broad wings ranged from the hues of artic ice to the shades of a bluebird in full plume. Golden fur captured the color of a noonday sun mingled with the sky's own hue. A child of the sky, this much was plain. He studied the faekat, not completely familliar with the subspecies. He had heard of them, but this was the first he had laid eyes on.* I am called Tsunami. Seems that I was considered a bit of a stormy child when I was born. *His tail flicked with an old amusement. Indeed, he had been tempermental, strong, and a force of nature ever since he was a tiny child watching teh world from underneath his parents' wings*

The small smile that she had been showing broke into a wide and utterly delightful grin* Really? Oh thank you! I'm so terribly cold! I've been wandering out here for hours and days looking for a place to rest! I never realized winter could be so cold! *With a sudden burst of energy, the green and violet cat took a leaping bound towards Tsunami. Her butterfly wings flitted twice mid bound to prolong her bounce before she came back down to the snow covered ground* Where is your den may I ask?

Her eyes lifted as he opened his wings and began to fly, her violet eyes following his path of flight as she, to the best of her ability, began to follow him. Rather then flying, as he did, she began to follow him by making the same sorts of bounds she had just taken. leaping into the air, she tucked her paws up against her body, her butterfly wings flitting three or four times to keep her aloft for a few moments longer, then her legs would snap down and she'd land, only to bound once more into the air and repeat the process*

Thank you very much! *She replied with a happy note to her sweet voice. Turning her gaze from the fire, she made her way to the stew pot and gave the fragrant soup a sniff. Beneath her fur, she could feel a slight heat riseing in her cheeks as he made mention of her inadequate ability to weather the winter well* Well...I take no offense,a nd I do understand...You are quite right. I was completly unprepared for the change in weather. I never realized that winter would be cold and dark and..well...cold! And there is hardly anything to eat anymore... *Her slender shoulders gave a slight shrug as she turned and began to help herself to some of the stew. His next comment caught her a little by surprised, but rather then blink, she laughed. Giving her tail a small sway, she shook her head and let her joyful laugh shake her wings* Oh, I am like you. I suppose we are cousins of sorts. Personally the only other that I have ever seen was my mother, but she and I have parted for a time now. I was born during the warmer weather, and I think it's something in our nature to wander. So I'm not surprised you've never met one like me before!

With wither came such a terrible scareness of food! And the whole depressing quality of the season sort of dampened her interest in hunting anyways. I hardly want to sleep for there is as much to do during the night as there is day! there are fireflies and moths to chase after! There are plump little field mice to stalk through the grasses! And the smell of the flowers and the hum of the insects is devine! Oh! I do wish this horrid winter would hurry and pass! *With a small shake of her head, she settled down, her whiskers had even begun to droop as she thought about it!* I could almost envy you, eing able to deal with this dreary season so well..but I would never want to give up my wandering for settleing down in a single place. There are so many new things to see and hear and chase during the cheerful months! Truely, can you tell me you've never felt the excitement of the wind? A small teaseing tickly that begs for you to chase it and see how far you can go?

I want to see the oceans and the trees of the foreign lands. I want to sample their cuisine, read their wisdom, see their art. I want to learn about those cats...see what the differences are. I see and understand the wanderlust. I suppose a part of me is simply rooted to my life here. *He motions around himself with a casual flick of his tail, his eyes closing for a moment* I am warm, well provided for, and have no need to worry on when I will eat again or if I will find refuge. I know that such a life is mundane, but...sometimes it is a welcomed life. I did grow up so close to the wild waters that never end...and I saw so many interesting things there but sometimes, one finds their home elsewhere, you understand?

I...suppose... *She slowly admitted.*
There is some..wisdom..in having a home...I look now on my own predictment and see that I really am in a horrid spot. I have no home of my own.I have no bed, no warm place to tuck myself as the weather gets more and more chill. I have no source of food either. It takes days now to find what once had been abundant...
*Her eyes dropped a moment to the bowl of half eaten stew as she somberly considered the dangerouse season she now had to face*
I am unprepared and uncertain...but oh! I know that were I given a second change to change all of this, I wouldn't! It just...too hard! As wise as it would be, I really do have a hard time focusing on the future, seeing beyond today and now simply is not in my nature...if I do manage to survive this winter, I realize I will probably repeat my folly all over again...
*her lips twisted upwards into a slightly sad smile as her tail flicked slowly from side to side*
But I still can't help but hope I will survive to see more wonders..and to chase the wind another season.

He then casually looked back to her in careful thought* Well...I am not one who believes in happenstance. I believe that things happen fora reason. I will make you a deal. If you tel me tales of your journies, you are more than welcome to remain here. You seem like a very sweet, genuinely nice cat who has truly lived a life that few would dare to venture out upon. You may remain here for the season as I am certain you will want to take wing as soon as weather permits.
