Chouji brought a hand up to his face and shook his head. "I feel like and idiot." he mumbled before headed to the table, on then realizing he still held Shikamarus hand. "Oh, sorry."

"Yeah, just leave it in my room. Temari and Gaara both know how much I dislike them poking around my room, so you won't have to worry about them." Kankuro said, heading towards the door before pausing, momentarily. "I'll be right back." He grunted and went to the basement door before opening it and sticking his head in. "Gaara, we're going out to the arcade." he said before closing the door and heading for the front door. He knew his brother probably wouldn't care, but it was better then Gaara not knowing where he was, and then Temari chewing on his a**, later.
"Ready?" Kankuro asked Zaku as he came back around to the livingroom to head to the front door.
Haku disappeared back into the bathroom to put his hair brush away after finishing getting dressed. Coming back out, he gave a smile to Zabuza before going over and giving him a hug. He then went and sat on the couch, watching the other male, his smile never leaving his lips.

"Yeah, ready." Zaku followed the other boy out of his house and to the sidewalk. "This town is really peacefully compared to the others I've been in. Then again, I've been in mostly cities so I guess that's why. It's definitely more quiet here...it's nice."

Shikamaru let go of Chouji's hand now, saying "No problem. We all space out from time to time." and walked to the table, sitting down. "And don't feel like a idiot. I never said you looked stupid."

He shrugged then waved his hand over the trays of food. "I hope you like stir fry! It's great over rice and that soy sauce is my fathers special recipe." Chouji got up from the table and brought the bread over from the counter, then sat back down and began cutting some of it. "Feel free to help yourself, I made plenty."

Shikamaru put some rice on his plate, and put some of the stiry fry over the rice, with the soy sause on that. He mixed in it a bit, before taking a bite. After the first bite his eyes went wide, and he stopped eating for a second. After that second passed, he swollwed, and for the first time in a long time... showed enthusiasm and energy while he ate. It was really good.

At first Chouji thought he didn't like it, but judging by how Shikamaru was now scarfing it down like Naruto does his ramen, he relaxed. "I'm glad you like it, but be careful or you'll choke." he then served himself and began to eat. Does this mean that our first 'date' is going well?

Shikamaru stopped for a moment to breath, looking sheepishly at Chouji. "Maa... sorry. It is just really good. Much better than what I have been eating for dinners for the past month." he said, before digging in again, slower this time. His mom had been in a bad mood for a month now, beacuse apparently he forgot to do some kinda chore or something, so he had to make himself tv dinners.

"Well, it's just stir fry, nothing too difficult to make. If you want you can take some home with you. I made sure to make extra." Chouji took some of the bread and then passed the plate to Shikamaru. "Want another piece, mousy?"

Shikamaru rolled his eyes, taking the plate from Chouji. "Sure, Beethoven." he responded, taking a peice of bread from it. He set the plate on the counter, and took a bite out of the bread. "And some leftovers would be great. Something to last me until Mom gets out of her bad mood."

Chouji laughed. "If I were Beethoven I could..." He was going to say 'write you a song' but thought he'd embarrassed himself enough already, "I'd be rich." He reached for his glass and only then realized he hadn't gotten anything out for drinks. "Oh! Would you like something to drink? We have soda, coffee, sake, water..."

"Doesn't matter. Anything will do." Shikamaru said, continueing to eat the rice again. He knew Chouji was going to say something other than him being rich, but didn't want to bug him about it. If Chouji wanted to say it, he would have. Shikamaru did not like to pry into other people's business.

"Alright." He got up from the table and grabbed two cans of soda from the fridge. "I hope you don't mind rootbeer, looks like dad finished off the coke." He said as he handed the can to Shikamaru. "When you're ready, dessert's in the oven."

Sasori followed the directions Deidara had given them as the car moved easily through the streets. Eventually, after having to entertain the blonde at random intervals with talk, they arrived at the Cermanics teacher's house. "Well, here we are brat..." The red head mumered as he looked over to the said male.

Zabuza gave a slight smile as he was hugged. After ordering plenty for the both of them, he walked over to the couch, tilting Haku's chin up and giving him a kiss.
"Whether it makes you feel better or not," Kakashi said, taking a bite a pasta, "it's still what I think."
Naruto shivered for a moment as the air hit his bare skin, and then warmed up again as he felt Sasuke's body back on top of him. Giving a little 'hnn,' he tugged at the hem of Sasuke's shirt.
