Kaym "I appreciate it. I am not sure what would have happened if you didn't show up..." Her voice trailed off as an impetuous thought came to mind.
When did I start talking so confortably with people? Her perplexed facial expression reflected in the water.
Kaym didnt necessarily dislike her attitude towards others, it was comforting to know that there were people in this world, who would still go out of their way to help others. But, deep down she was still numb from all the betrayal and Exile.
".. exile..." The infatuating word slipped from her mouth ever so quietly. Don't mention it. I couldn't just leave you to perish under the power of that man. I could sense that, though dark, your soul is a good one. His... His was tainted... I'm glad you're alright. He smiled behind the barrier and took a cloth to his upper body, moving to wash himself.

"Feih." She could remember so many memories of she and him. He always hung on Caster, but when he wasnt around, he was always next to Kaym. Mainly for moral support due to the fact that no other on the team respected him for his spousel preference, but, Kaym never minded that. She never took interest in relationships, children or even friends. Killing was part of her job. It gave her something to do while her search continued. Her endless search. Combing the desert to the ends of the earth. Under the blaze of the great sun. She searched.
"I used to work with him..." Kaym felt a small feeling of regret. She had always thought he did such things becasue he was infatuated with their commander, Caster. Are all friends, partners, or siblings destined to fight?
"Do you have any companions?"
Little did Kaym know, her question held more depth and truth then she knew.

My Life Mate, my brother, and occasionally another friend or two. Why do you ask?
He continued to scrub in the hot water.

Her answer to that was an easy one. But, she couldnt seem to place the sentence.
She held silent for just a moment, "..Has any of your friends turned on you?"
Kaym's reason for asking such a bold and direct question was mainly beacuse she was at a loss for feeling. Its also possible that shes ignorant to her bluntness. She wasnt custom to the feeling of regret. At least, she hadnt felt such feeling for as long as she could remember. Should she be ashamed for trading positions? She was once the hunted amongst them. Now, she returned to strata to finish them off. Did she actually think it would be easy? Possibly. Maybe she didnt care at all. She was trained to not regret her actions.

((WHoo! IRONY!!! xd ))
Ryugi stopped for a moment in his cleaning. And he though hard. There were many friends he'd had in his life, but none of them had ever really turned on his perse.
I can't say that any of them have. I guess I've been lucky in that aspect. Though I would have to say if any of them did, I would be very upset and taken aback by their actions.
I trust my friends to be just that, my firends.
He sighed and went back to cleaning behind his ears.

She looked at her form in the water.
Kaym hadnt only been questioning her sanity, she was also searching for a reason to her existence. Why was she resurrected? Of course, she didnt enjoy those long 42years in hell, and she welcomed the awakening, but, her endless, so far pointless life hadnt shown her a reason why.
.. I look like a prune
And with that, her pale curved body rose from the bath and wrapped itself in a towel.
One thing she was certain of. There was something dark about her being. With each ruthless fight, with each kill, she questions her humanity.

Hearing the water slosh a bit alerted Ryugi that his company was making ready to leave. He made quick work of his own washing and scrubbing before heading back over to where he'd placed his towel. He'd then quickly dry off, shake his head dry, and head off to get dressed and meet his new friend outside the baths.

Grey boots carried her to the front door. The kind she-male clerk rushed to her right when she opened the bath door. From there on, she dressed the single clueless warrior in the fashion that suited her best.
Kayms slender form emerged from the female bath entry way. Having two new holsters for the twin daggers, at which once almost claimed her life. She carried them among her in memory of Feih. (and not to mention, they were quite nifty pieces at that. http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/54024419/

Ryugi simply emerged in his regular outfit. Afterall, he'd recently got a new set of clothing as well. He spotted Kaym and made his way over to her.
I trust you had a good bath then?

" I did, thank you for accompaning me." Kaym wasnt as confident as she normally was. Strata was covered in snow, and she didnt know why, but she was feeling unexpectedly weak.
Was it due to vayu and rigveda? They were given to her and she still had no idea what properties they held.
Her stern body used to handle snow and fire. But, since the newly aquired weapons she felt drained, and unable to think clearly. Maybe that is why she seperated herself from Nathanial? Maybe she felt as if she could not protect him if the time appeared. Before, she could only trust her feelings, however, she questioned her own logic day after day.

Ryugi smiled at first, then cocked his head to the side as he studied his new friend. He couldn't be sure, but there was something amiss in the way she spoke and carried herself. He wasn't a mind reader, but, he WAS a good reader of people's emotions through the way they carried themselves. And he could tell something was nagging at his new friend.
Are you alright Miss Kaym? You look as if something is troubling you...
His voice was still pleasant, but there was concern still evident in it as he spoke.

Kaym looked at him, surprised that he had asked such a question of her. Was it that obvious she wasnt feeling like herself. Usually, she was hard, stern, and careless.
Her head lowered. She didnt know him well, but she didnt mind sharing her feelings; which was extrememly strange to her.
"I dont think im feeling well. I feel weak.. and i am not sure why." She stood, staring out of the front window of the shop, then covered her stomach with her right hand. "The snow puts an uneasy feeling in my gut." She then looked up at her comany. "It weakens me.." She paused. "When you first encountered me. It was the same."

Ryugi's face got a little more stern, and Kaym would be able to tell he was in thought for a moment, before he looked back up and her and spoke.
Well, if this environment has weakened you, and you are in a state where others are coming to attack you, then logic would state that we leave this place behind, and seek a place that will not cause you any ill effects. Wouldn't you agree?
He looked at her as if to reassure himself that he had come up with a reasonable response and plan of action.

His logic was perfectly appealing and logical; she just couldnt bring herself to words. This location was the closest she had ever gotten to feeling close to the one she had been searching for. What should she do?
"You are correct. I should not stay in this place for much longer. It just puzzles me why i am feeling this way. Freezing temperatures hadnt bothered me before. " She recalled one of her long ago missions in alaska, the cold never bothered her, her body didnt twitch nor complain from the cold.
Her short waited pause closed. "I have been searching for someone. And this location has proven itself to be something to look over further." Thinking upon herself, she didnt come up with any other options. This temperature and snow would not lift and her strenght would dwindle.
"Where do you suggest I go? I am not familar with this area. I just know it from a prior vist."

Well, there are many places we could go. It all depends on the person you're searching for I guess. What kind of person are they? What kind of a place do they find appealing? A place one might choose to lurk if they are avoiding being found might be the LAST place you'd ever expect to find them.
Ryugi nodded to himself as he spoke. He wasn't a genius or anything, but he had a pretty good noggin on his shoulders, and it had helped him track down more than his fair share of individuals over the years.
