No, all diets are bad. Do you know why? Because diets have an end, and then you go right back to your old habits and you'll gain more weight. If you want to lose weight, you have to alter your eating habits to be healthier and keep it that way. Just make better choices from day to day, and get at least thirty minutes (an hour is best) of physical activity per day. EVERY day.

...Um...no... Weight Watchers IS about making a life change.. it teaches you to eat well. So unless you do what I did which was eat massive quantities of ice cream and fried food because you got depressed after losing 20 lbs and consoled yourself with food and gained 50 lbs... yeah.... wow...bad...

I try to eat well.
I think my problem is that I don't excersize enough.

Moocat I try to eat well. I think my problem is that I don't excersize enough. Well wanting to excerize more and wanting to lose weight are two different things. Go ahead, walk a mile in the morning, or do a kick boxing tape every other day or something.

The key to loosing weight, IMO, is to just nibble on things all throughout the day. It speeds up your metabolism, thus burning more calories.
Works for me. And I eat junk food 75% of the time. I never seem to gain weight though. And it sucks, because I really want to.

What I do is eat small portions of food. I eat what everyone else eats but I actually limit my overall intake. I do have a fast metabolism, which means I don't actually need to diet at all. I have found, however, that I feel better by not eating my complete fill each day anyway.

Hah.
My metabolism sucks.
I have Hashimoto's. Which is a thyroid condition.
Hypothyroid. So my metabolism was horribly slow. I think it's normal, now. But it may be on the low end of functioning.

According to our crappy health book, if you walk for 45 minutes every day and don't change anything you'll lose 20 ibs a year until you hit your ideal weight (unless you totally over eat).
I had trouble transitioning from athletics to not .. I still eat 4 1/2 meals a day lol. Which my body is paying for but I'm going to resuming excersizing soon and I've already started limiting portions. Nobody likes an overweight communist :p

I eat alot at once instead of nibbling.
