True dat. We really need some new weaponry and wargear. Having an armoury with a total of about 20 things isn't fun. Granted, we don't need much considering the strength of our weaponry, but it would be fun to get wargear options. Ethereals with jet packs anyone?

options would be nice, but the real problem is lack of variety.

Forge World isnt a part of Games-Workshop, their independent. The only reason their allowed to sell things with Games-Workshop IP is because GW gave them the rights too. If they were owned and operated under GW rules then all the Imperial Armour books and rules would at least have some rules that you didnt need to ask your opponents permission to use, which isnt the case, every single Forge World rule you need your opponents permission. Also, Forge World makes optional models, if they worked for Games-Workshop that would be a rather nuclear waste of money. They always have been and always will be seperate from Games-Workshop, they just have close ties and a good friendship with the buisness and peoples of Games-Workshop. Next time your at a GT or a GD ask someone whose actually in the buisness about Forge World, cause they werent part of Games-Workshop back in 2nd Edition 40k and they still arent now.

Does anyone have pics of these things? I saw the vespids but I have no idea about the other new stuff they're supposed to be getting.

Too my knowledge, Vespids are the only new model the general public has got a chance to see. Probably because of the leak of the Vespid sketch a few months ago, they figured they might as well showcase the models. However, the new Tau Heavy choice, new Crisis sprue and plastic Stealths are all heavily rumored but no pictures of the models or design sketches have surfaced. Best you'll get is to peer at the fuzzy picture of the new codex cover and try and pull as many details as possible from it.

just to say...lol...i think the human auxiliaries need a re do...

i mean...all they get are a marker light for the sarge and two pulse rifles?

i think they should be able to have some tau and some guard upgrades and weapons, like have a choice where two men can make a heavy weapon platform like the IG list can, and allow the sarge to get like power weapons, or bolters, or gun drones, frag grenades, something like that....

i know they dont have imperial made stuff anymore but im sure the humans could fabricate their own stuff.

..because man....the fact that they are super cheap i think is almost not worth having them...

we've already seen the cover for the Tau Empires codex.
Trust me, it'll happen. We saw the vespids, some early Deimurg stuff, and new forge world crisis suits.
That would confirm new release.

What do you mean "new rules?" we have new rules, it's called 4th edition. Why do you think the Space Marines and Tyranids were just redone?

Indeed. I expect the new Tau Codex sometime between February and April of next year.

EDIT: Further confirmation from IA3. Imperial Armor 3 has different points costs and options available to Crisis and Broadside suits that are not in the current codex. Forgeworld IA3 Q&A states:

"1. The Crisis and Broadside battle suits rules have different options from those in the Codex, and different points values. Some of these options are not explained. Where can I find the rules for 'advanced stabilisation systems' or Shas'o R'myr's ejection system, what is a networked Markerlight?

This is because the battle suits have the options from the forthcoming 'Tau Empire' codex, not the current Tau codex. You'll have to wait until its release to get the rules. Until then, ignore options you don't have the rules for. This was done to give IA3 a longevity it would not have had if we had used the current, soon to be outdated, Codex rules."
