ROUND 6: THE LAST POST
How long had Sascha been down here anyway? He'd only paid attention to the rules of the competition to learn he was supposed to run down a mountain and that there was some sort of digging component. That mean he'd get pulled out of this hole he'd dug for himself, right? Sascha tried to force a sigh, but only managed a shallow huff. He hoped he did well. He wasn't sure why he did it at all. The least he could do would be to win a prize.
Falling down a mountain avalanche just to prove that he could and survive sounded on brand for Sascha. He used to use that term ironically, being a lowblood and all. It still hadn't quite sunk in that he literally had a public image now. Even buried however many Alternian standard measurement units of snow he was still pretty pleased wit his circumstaces. People knew who he was! He didn't need to thow himself down a mountain for attention, or even do well at it.
He could've run several Alternian mile equivalents off course. People would recognize that he had entered. That he was missing. He'd get searched for and dug out, blood color be damned. The lightheadedness was making him giddy. Maybe people would miss him. Maybe they'd be worried.
Sascha grinned and got a mouthful of snow.

"Well, now they knowwwww!" He slammed his shovel into the snow and began to dig with a lot of energy. Cerpin wasn't sure how much longer he'd be conscious for. He was feeling disoriented.
