just popping in while naaman is resting to give an update... we went to the neurologist office this morning... technician had to bundle him up and he went crazy cuz the sedative didn't take affect until half hour after we left their office. I think it's made him sick because he's been throwing up periodically throughout the afternoon. I feel like getting on him was the hard part. my sister and baby bro are over keeping me company and also helping me keep an eye on him. I mean... one of us needs an eye on him at all times. he cannot rub, move or do anything to the cords on his head... or the cord that runs to the tiny computer he's hooked up to.. but... he's finally conked out and is resting well for over an hour... I am hoping is vomiting stops because i had plans to take him to the toy store and buy him whatever he wants as a reward for having to endure his current discomforts. I mean. he hates haircuts and getting his hairwashed.. i'm sure the guase has to make his head itch adn sweat... and it just plain uncomfortable... and then being sick a bit probably didn't help too much.

like i said.. he has been resting now. and, before he fell asleep.. he was messing with it less. not sure what to feel about his throwing up.. i mean. i don't want to see him sick... but his sickness is making him tired which is helping to ease him through the rest of the day and gets his mind off of the thing on his head... *sigh* anyhoos... just thought i'd drop in an update.... I appreciate all the prayers and well wishing thoughts that are coming our way.

One thing I am grateful for is that I can feel the prayers of everyone helping to give me strength. i have cried all week dreading this day... and the day has come, and i have hardly shed a tear. in fact, i've been calm and being strong for naaman and my sister. Cuz, my sister went with me to the office.. and she was crying right along with naaman. I can tell she's really suffering with him in this. I'll have to take her out to do something special soon.

ferfer, who made that thing in your sig? i checked out teh HB's store... and i notice those are from someone else. i'm browsing people's stores who offer that type of thing. i might want a camo one for my qeust...

another update: we've nearign the end of the day... all in all everything's been ok... it's just that he's thrown up so many times. I"m not sure if it was from sedative, his maybe catching a flu right along side it.. or from the chocolate milk he had last night.

If you go a few posts up, you'll see that he is under the doctor's care at the moment, and had anethesia and a sedative so that he doesn't try to pull off the cap that is hooked up with wires and sensors to a computer to track his seizures and brain activity. The medicine they gave him most likely is making him sick, but no one will know for sure for 24 hours or so, if he continues to show symptoms after that time, then he probably got the flu also, today I believe they are doing the cat scan on him to see if he is having the seizures in his sleep and how much of his brain may be damaged. He has autisim, but they dont' know how bad yet. He may of physically made himself sick due to the stress of the proceedure they had already done and were continuing to do the next 24 hours.

Well, that's good that it was all over. It was just one day thank goodness. I'm sure you wanted to cry for him a lot, but I think I read that you stayed strong and didn't, good for you! At times like that, it's so important to show our kids we at least look strong for them, even though we're aching in the inside! That's what I'm telling myself about this deployment thing. I'm making sure there's smiles and happiness for Logan, occassionally I have to go to the bathroom if I think about Tommy missing a year of Logan's life. That's just me, though.

I'm not sure what "red china marker spots" are, but if you're referring to the spots from the circular things for readings, my husband had those on when he had his surgery, they caused him to break out. Try some rubbing alcohol for the glue, although it depends what type of glue they used, it might take a few days of working!
