Kiera couldn't help but laugh a little. "If what you said is true then why did we turn out so messed up even though our father was a good guy and our mother wasn't?" She shook her head, and shut her eyes again. "Ah, I still don't like sharing. Just because I don't like it doesn't mean I can't tolerate it." She licked her lips. "I can see myself getting sick of the feeling, though." Kiera suddenly lifted her head and rushed to stand between Veira and the door. "Careful. We're not alone." There was a short knock on the door.

*Veria nodded, "We havn't been alone for a while actully. Theres been someone watching us for a day or so now." She stood and put her tools away slipping them into her pocket, "we should deal with it now i persume." She looked to keria, "i got your back."

Kiera's eyes thinned. She waited for the person to open the door. The person just casually walked in, as if this was a familiar place, shrugged off his large trench coat and bent over to shake the water out of his velvety hair. "Sorry to interrupt you girls, horrible weather out there." The man stood up straight and grinned to them both, putting his hands in his red jacket pockets. Once again, not wearing a shirt under. The first thing Kiera was taken aback by was that he was so much taller than her. This upset her the greatest. Still the man continued to grin, even with the dirty looks she was shooting at him. "Nice to meet'cha. I'm your lord savior."

*Veria giggled, "Lord saver? Oh my no. Your just a man playing a card game it seems. Going around and treating each land to ally with you, or the place will be defeated by your hands and taken forcfully. However dear one, we arn't the ones to easyly fall into your game as the loosers." Veria giggled and stepped up to the man, "that right i've been watching you just as much as you've been watching me."

The man licked his lips and leaned over, closer to Veira, then cocked his head slightly. "My my, little red joker. Always on top of the game, aren't you?" He stood up straight again and looked to them both with a proud smile. "You're funny." Kiera scowled. "Who the hell are you?" The man moved his gaze to Kiera slowly. "I told you already, stupid girl. I thought you were supposed to be the clever one. Work it out for yourself." Kiera breathed slowly. "You want to ally with us?" The man shut his eyes. "I want to help you." Kiera snickered. "We don't need any help." The man swept back the hood of his jacket and sneered. "You're funny too, arrogant black joker." Kiera spat. "What did you call me?" The man looked practically innocent. "Arrogant? I'm just stating the facts, darling. Don't get in a hissy-fit with me now. We only just started talking."

*Veria giggled, "funny huh? Why thankyou for the assumption. But no. We do not need your help. Thing about us, is we are used to working by ourselves, so even when alone we do not need help form outsides such as you." She walked around the man as far as the chain would let her go, "But i know you already talked to my mtoher, and asher. Sooner or later your going to target shortstraw. And soon after you hope to get to Eve. But i am sure there isn't anything you can do to make us not reject you..." she walked back next to keria withher arms folded, "plus you walk into my sisters tarritory like you own it. That was your first mistake. Then saying you want to pervide help, unlikly, you second mistake. and third, your little card came, who said we weren't already prepared with our own deck of cards hmmm? Shoot away little insect. take your lardy butt out." She waved her hand, "shoo shoo..." however it was mainly a quick act. She didn't want him to mess up kerias head like her mother and ashers. she knew already this man had influences, and informationon each of them. However she had never seen him take a action yet.*

The man smiled and shook his head. "Oh no, I'm not done just yet." He shook his head and laughed a little, before he walked right past them both and sat on the counter with his legs folded, just at Kiera would do. Kiera observed for now as she let each bit of useful information process in her mind. She's seen this guy before. But where? "Eh, her territory. I don't believe in all that bull. Land is land. And I'm fee to walk across it any way I like until the owner tells me not to." He gave Kiera a look before he put his head on his hand and smiled to them both. "Forgive me for being rude, but. You're not exactly the one with all the influence here, are you Veira dear? I suppose it's not really your place to speak up. If you care so much about this territory s**t of yours." He took a cigarette out of his pocket and lit it up before he shoved it into his mouth. "And you're wrong, by the way. Very very wrong. I equally know a lot about you. I know that you know everything that goes on inside this area, so I purposely made it that way." He grinned. "Whoops." He took a puff out of his cigarette and looked away. Kiera still had yet to speak. She was trying to put her finger on where she'd seen this stupid guy before.

Veria smiled, "a worthy fool. Indeed, my sister owns this place. And it is true that i am not at place to speak, however..." somthing slithered up the mans leg and into his pantleg, there it bite into him. "I know you know about me, and everyone here. Everything is a mystery as i am in many aspects." Veria looked to keria, "well?"
Meanwhile shortstraw finally walked up to Asher, "Whats going on!" Suddenly he felt somthing and turned. His eye flickered as if an alarm. Veria no dought. He looked to Asher, "who are you chasing..." he turned and started to head back.

The man looked lazily down to his leg and just carried on puffing. "Sorry to burst your bubble, but, that won't do anything." Kiera looked to the floor then looked back to the man. "I've seen you somewhere before." The man smiled in delight at her remembering. "Only a few times, but yes. When you were a child." Kiera's eyes thinned. "I still don't know..." The man frowned in disappointment. "Ah, that's a shame." Kiera's small wings suddenly tore out of her shirt, as she had no other way of releasing the pressure in her anger without the stupid chain being annoying. The man hopped off the counter and was suddenly behind her, brushing his hands through the wings. "These are very nice.." Kiera flinched away and scowled at him. "What the hell?" He shook his head however. "Not as good as what I'm used to, though." Kiera suddenly clicked it. "You're called River Kaphice." The man laughed and nodded. "Kaphice is an alias. Call me River Madison." Kiera's blood went cold. Asher chased after Shortstraw. "Gah, ********. You probably shouldn't have followed me. That's what he wanted!"

Veria rased a brow, "no idea who you are. never heard of you, which means your probably not vary important." She giggled and looked to keria, "what did he do to you int he past sister? Obviously it was before i was born..." he glared at the man however, then swated him away from her sisters wings, "theres a no touchy rule!"
SHortstraw looked to Asher, "he? Asher what happened to telling me everything? Comeon i trusted you..." he replied as he came to a skid infrontof the house and ran in to find himself standing int he doorway... "who the hell?! Keria?" He asked.

Kiera looked quickly to Veira. "Sister. This guy is our cousin. Madison is Amelie's maiden name." River shrugged. "At least someone gets it." Kiera suddenly had lots of thoughts flooding into her mind. This guy was in the book she was reading. River Kaphice. In the book of famous phoenix's? But this guy couldn't be a phoenix if he came from her mothers family. Kiera suddenly glanced to Shortstraw, loosing all train of thought. River also looked to Shortstraw, and smiled. "Ah, he's so cute when he's all wet!" He almost giggled like a little girl. Asher appeared right behind Shortstraw, too, and River made a mock pouty face. Kiera looked dead back to River. "If your name is Madison. Then it must have been your father that is related to my mother." River nodded. "Correct." Kiera scratched her nose. "What monstrosity was your mother?" River leaned into Kiera and puffed a cloud of smoke into her face. "I believe this is where the word irony comes into play." Kiera took a couple of steps back to get out of the smoke. "She was a Phoenix, wasn't she?"

*Veria razed a brow, "a cosen? From mothers side of the family? Intreging." She went into thought. Meanwhile shortstraw looked to them, "is he freind or foe damn it?" He was confussed. Meanwhile Veria motioned shortstraw to come in and close the door, "hold it love." She looked to River, "But how does what your doing help us hmmm? You said you came to help us, and how come mother had never mentioned you either hmmm? Oh i have so many quesions... i do hop eyou have the time..." she siad mockingly. SHe looked to Keria, "seroiusly? He's a real cosen? Who else knows instead of me?"

River sighed and tapped off the remainder of his cigarette onto the floor. "Hmm. My father didn't talk much about Amelie either. Let alone her spawns." Kiera nodded. "Yeah, he's a real cousin. He was only at a couple of things Amelie took me to. She stopped taking me to things when you were born." River laughed. "Your mother is a delightful woman, I have to admit. Likes alcohol, too." Kiera rolled her eyes. "Yes, unfortunately." River looked back to Veira. "Family helps family, doesn't it? We're family after all." Kiera shook her head and interrupted. "But you've been gaining allies everywhere." River walked over to Shortstraw and played with his hair. "Mhm-hm. We established this earlier." Kiera swatted him away from Shortstraw and her eyes shone in anger. "So explain. Now." River patter her head softly before he looked to her wings again. "Not until you agree to ally with me." Kiera lost her patience. "We're not going to ally with you." River sighed and looked to the floor. "I suppose I'm going to have to teach little girlie a lesson, then." Suddenly he was behind Kiera, one hand on her back and the other on her left wing. It seemed like slow motion to Kiera as he ripped out the wing, and it laid limp in his hand. "Naughty girl. You don't deserve privileges like these." The wing burned up into ashes and fell gently to the floor. Kiera fell to the floor in agony, screaming her lungs dry. "Whoops." River practically giggled.

*suddenly the room became nothing but hass as the man lifted into the air. allt he lights poped, the doors and windows locked and only two eyes showed. No longer could the man move, for he no longer had control to. Paradioas shodow had hold oh his shadow, meaning he no owned this mans life, soul, reasion, and body. All that was left was the mans mind and paradioa was surly going to have to tamper with that aswell as the man was thrown into the coffen, for an enernity of suffering. With apradioa feeding off his body forever. His eye then looked to keria, her shadow started to shift alittle, the shadow of the wing... tryed to make the shadow sprout a knew, but he couldn't do to veria being attached to her. He hissed and rose shortstraw off the ground as if chocking him with a mighty hand, "aid her Boy..." he through shortstraw to kerias side and the room returend as it was as the coffen door shut, the chains rapping around it meaning not to disterb.* Shortstraw was in fear however looked to keria, "keria..." Veria however just watched, "i have nothing i can do without caulsing her more harm... am am sorry sister i am usless..."

As gratifying for Kiera as that would have been to see River being thrown into Paradioa's coffin for all of eternity, it wasn't actually him. Just a bloody clone. Which was probably why Kiera hadn't sensed anything from him earlier. Nothing from his aura or anything, and why she continued to remain suspicious even after River told them who he was. No, she didn't think he'd die that easily. He'd gone to too much trouble to set all this up. And he probably had planned all this to the smallest detail. Even so, he couldn't be far away at the moment, with a low scale clone like that. Otherwise it would have lost it's solidity a long time ago. All right, so those thoughts distracted her from the pain for a little. Now it all came flooding back. Pain. Searing pain. Unrelenting searing pain. Shiny blood spilling out of her back in protest at it's missing part. She wouldn't even feel the others in the room with her anymore. And she passed out from blood loss.
