... Not... Seeing eye to eye? What did that mean? Poor Mot looked like a beaten puppy at the mere mention of Hel.
Immediately her mind began racing with an overload of questions. What had happened? Whose fault was it? Was this the end of the duo as she knew them? Oh Jack, the curiosity! The suspense!
But it seemed as if the boil was going to change the subject completely.
Damn.
"Well... I guess it's alright. I don't really see why people got so excited. It's just a party that makes you wear uncomfortable clothes for the sake of formality. There's no liquor, no real entertainment unless you include the idiots making fools of themselves on the dance floor, and honestly no real point to it."
It was obvious Riyo had missed the whole point of prom because nobody had really showed her. "I don't know. When it comes to things of this nature I guess I'm just as receptive as a wet towel." to put it lightly.
"What about you?"

He looked unconvinced at first, but soon swelled with pride at the compliments, his blush continuing as he glanced up at the massive chandeliere he had spent ages wiring to look like candles. "Student-Council-Duty," He replied, "Others-helped. Did-not-do-alone," He floundered, pausing a moment to fidget with the end of his scraggly ponytail before glancing to the milling students and horsemen, "Want-dance?" He offered with a shy smile. "Have-a-bit-of-time-before-return-to-duties."

Oh what a dance! Siobhan was thoroughly swept off her feet. The winded ghoul fanned herself with her hand as Remi placed a rose in her hair beside the first one, again blushing blue and glowing slightly. "Goodness, good sir!" She crooned, sighing happily. "You are much too kind!" The scratchy voice of the banshee held a slight squeal to it. "But you are correct."Pose. "I am all of the not too shabby!"

"Videos, pictures, that sort of thing." She waved a hand with a shrug. A evil glint then replaced the one neutral look in her eyes, focused on Malcolm. The air around her warmed slightly, a sure sign of tempers beginning to flare. "Why, is that a hint of jealousy I sense, Malcolm dear?" She would neither accept, nor deny the rumors that were flying around. Rumors were exactly that, some spawned from fact and others fiction. Besides who's to say the clothing in question was hers? Not to mention their groundskeeper has been MIA for quite some time now, who knows where the huntsman ran off to? Malcolm was lucky her eyes flicked towards the dance floor a second later and did not linger on him. "Those are.....definitely not robes." Fluttering her wings, she sent a semi gust of wind backwards away from the pair. "Maybe they like things a little... breezy." Personally she found it stupid, and horrifying they even thought it was ok to wear a dress, to PROM?

Amrita followed Christof's gaze to the chandeliere, smiling before dropping her attention back down to him. "They did a good job too." Way to ruin her attempt at flattery, Chris! Either way, she felt like she had smoothed things over with him about the glitter, which was a good thing at least.
"Dance?" The ghoul perked up like a puppy that was about to be given a treat. "Y-yes! You, um, don't mind?" She was kind of glittery, of course! But as she accepted his offer, she tilted her head, listening to the music. "...I don't know how to dance to this. Do you?" This wasn't The Creep nor was it whatever dance Roch's Grandfather caught her, either. Curious!

Typical Riyo. Mot chuckled lightly and waved a hand. "Well.. all those things are supposed to be what makes it fun.." he defended lamely, scratching his neck. But Riyo was Riyo. There didn't seem to be very much she did take great pleasure in. At least she came out at all. "Me? I'm enjoying it alright. I was able to teach someone to dance." And danced with Hel, albeit slightly awkwardly. "Not much else has happened beyond that. Mildly uneventful." He paused and looked at the ghoul carefully. "Do you dance?"

Danny laughed, hard. They were both so embarrassed! Or maybe they were just hot ... the dance floor was pretty stuffy ...
Either way, Danny was glad she wasn't the one being teased. It felt pretty good to be on top for once.
"Hmmm, maybe not this song. It's kinda ... ehh. How's your dance been?" she asked nonchalantly. Roch and Amphi couldn't dance to a metal song! They needed something more ~romantic~.
Besides this would give her time to catch up with her fishy friend.

"Never-know-how-to-dance-to-anything," Christof gave a grimace as he signed and shrugged. "All-this-music-is-crap." He was proud of himself for learning the sign for 'crap'. "Still-can-try? Looks-like-people-having-fun. You-should-have-fun-too." With that, he offered her his hand and another shy smile.

Amarus arched one brow as Mac grabbed a random stranger. She covered her mouth with one hand to hide both the laughter and the grin from the stranger. She didn't much like showing her emotions in front of weird students. Amarus didn't actually know that Mac and Mot were cousins. "Hey! I'll take whatever new friends I can get," Amarus protested. ... Prom Prince? Instead of being impressed, Amarus started to laugh. "He would be prince of such an event??" she shook her head.
"You'll do," Amarus allowed him, gesturing as if she was being gracious by saying he looked just okay. Of course, if she was being objective, Mac was handsome-- but it was hard to tell under the scowling, she thought. Not that she cared either way. "If I had a medal, I would give her one. Perhaps uh... that marketplace. You know, the ones where the ghosts trade things. Maybe I can find something nice for her after Prom," Amarus was thinking to herself, eyes cast up.
She wasn't saying it because she sincerely wanted to find Lizzy a medal, but hey, a year was a long time and she kinda did want to meet Mac's ghoulfriend. If nothing other than to match the stories to a face. "Shouldn't you be dancing, Mac? If you're so adamant that prom be about dancing...! Oh, hey, did you get your photo taken with Lizzy yet?"
Amarus knew that, like Scarentines, there was a photobooth. Not that she'd ever been.

Shehk half pushed him with her hands as he spoke. "Go go. Don't worry about rushing back either. I'll be alright for a bit. Go."
However, it seemed like she didn't need to urge him too hard, which simply meant she'd be flying solo for a little while. Hm... maybe that should have been less awkward.Blade Kuroda Just a late response. XDD

Desu-chan saw Christof's open hand and very quickly, put a protection charm in the boil's pocket, making sure to keep it out of sight of Amrita. Giving him a wink, she resumed dancing.

Interesting. Lattice had written about him? West couldn't help wondering what she had said, but it probably hadn't been too negative if Needle wasn't spike-chopping him in the vitals. He reclaimed his hand, head tilting slightly at the ease with which she discussed such delightful retaliative measures. She and Lattice certainly were an intriguing pair. Sadly, unless her date was already someone he couldn't stand, stabbing them out of the blue didn't hold much fascination for him. West did love violence and physically harming all sorts of things, but fights were more fun when someone was angry. At her offer of a tattoo, West's brows turned down a touch, but it wasn't due to displeasure. "I... uh... I'll think about it." He had never even remotely considered a tattoo, but if he could think of something to have done, well, it might actually be fun. "Anyway, I'll let you..." He waved his hand off behind her in a vague dismissal. "Y'said you were with someone, right?"

The was only slightly weird. It had been a while since Mei had seen Alex, he seemed to be acting just a little bit strange. Perhaps stranger than usual. She watched as they left the group. Giving a small wave with a curious look on her face. Oh well. There was still time to talk to them later. Though it seemed like every time she tried something happened. Curious. She turned her attention back to the other group that Eisheth was speaking with. Listening to their chatter with attentiveness. She didn't want to interrupt and honestly didn't have too much to say. The ghoul wrapped her arm around Eisheth's once more as her gaze soon lingered about to watch the other groups. Hopeful that no other fires would be starting up.

Yes. Supposed to be fun. But Riyo was a fun miser, who only used her fun capacity for select few investments. "Not having liquor is what makes it fun?" Riyo placed a hand on her hip, shooting him the 'oh really?' look.
At the very least, the boil was having an alright time. Hel or no Hel. Jack, she really wanted to know what happened there.
"Dance?" The feline repeated, looking nervously towards the dance floor. "It's been a long time since I've done such a thing." She had learned how for the sake of knowing how, but as for actually dancing? Eeeh. "It's not really that important to me."

"My words are never mere flattery, my dear," said Mengyao easily, as Lifen shook back the sleeves of her draping clothes, her smaller, paler fingers sliding into his. He had to bend over to hold her properly, considering the obvious difference in their heights, but it was not unpleasant, and he was still comfortable. He just hoped she was comfortable.
A few voices rose and fell inside of his head, the press of his thoughts against the side of his head giving an unpleasant sort of pressure. He shook his head lightly, as though to clear it, and smiled down at Lifen. A part of him felt very oddly at ease like this, with Lifen. She was right - it had been a long time. He couldn't seem to recall the last time he had danced with her, though he supposed it must have last been when they were children. He had used to sneak out and meet her, despite the differences in their rankings, mostly because Lifen had never been afraid to speak to him candidly - and a part of him had needed that as a child. So he had moved himself closer to her, and had stayed there ever since.
"Mmm," said Mengyao, in a sort of noncommittal hum as he swayed to the side, drawing Lifen with him in a quiet dance, despite the rest of the dance being stuffed full of students. Some of the unwanted tension in his shoulders - the stress of being here, the dislike of social settings so far beneath his usual situations, the voices in side of his head - it was all ebbing down into the place inside of him that he kept hidden away. His shoulders eased a little, and a smile - not a smirk, but a smile, gentle and quiet, found its way across his face.
"Yes, it has been a long time," he said, and slipped his hand from her waist forward, sliding around to her back, the fingers that held her hand curling a bit more around them. "We were almost the same height then, if I recall correctly." Nerpin I KNOWWW YOUUU THE GLEAM IN YOUR EYESSSS IS SO FAMILIAR A GLEAMMMMMMMMMMMM
