"Anyone you'd like to talk to?" Earendil asked Lin, well aware that she wouldn't be able to see most of them from her height. "I can help look for someone if you're looking for anyone in particular."

After all, he wasn't aware of who she did and didn't know.

Earendil stood on his tiptoes and scanned the crowd. He couldn't remember the last time he'd been in the middle of so many people, and it was a bit startling to know that they were all here - that they were always here, even though most of them remained out of sight.

"There," he said, pointing off into the crowd. "Quite a distance away ... off on his own, no surprise there."

He looked down at Lin. "Maybe it'd be easier if you flew to him," he suggested cautiously.

"It might be easier just to go around the crowd then," Earendil chuckled. "We're on the edge, it should actually probably be faster than trying to push our way through."

There was simply a lot of people there. Trying to pass through them would be like trying to gently nudge their way through a thick undergrowth of vines.

He took Miyuki's hand so that she wouldn't get separated from them, something he was sure she wouldn't be able to handle, as shy as she was, and then turned to lead them around the crowd. "This way," he murmured.

The hunter was standing alone at the edge of the old barracks building, motionless, his blue eyes flicking this way and that, taking in everything in sight. His golden hair was a bit longer than the last time Lin had seen him, long enough that it needed to be pulled back in a half-ponytail. He was the only one who wasn't wearing a cloak - the day was cool, but the temperature had never bothered him. He was used to it; after all, he did spend most of his time outside without shelter.

His eyes flicked to Lin as she, Earendil and Miyuki approached him. Recognition registered in his eyes, and the corner of his mouth twitched slightly as if to smile, but the smile never quite arrived. Instead, the only indication that he might be pleased to see her was a slight lightening of his eyes.

"It is good to see you as well, Lin," he replied in his deep voice. "Long has it been since we have spoken ... I understand you are doing well, and it is also my understanding that you are to receive congratulations."

He bowed his head to Lin and Earendil, showing respect for them and congratulations for their marriage.

Gwaethir shook his head. "No, I haven't," he agreed. He knelt down so that he was closer to Miyuki's height and looked at her thoughtfully. A smile played about the corners of his lips, and he chuckled softly.

"Hello, Miyuki," he said, his deep voice warm and welcoming. "It's nice to finally meet you, I've heard quite a bit about you."

Gwaethir chuckled softly and looked up at Lin, his eyes bright.

"She's not very much like you, is she?" he asked her teasingly. "I don't think you were ever half this shy."

Lin after all had been one to do absolutely everything she could, she hadn't seemed to care if she knew the people or not. In fact, it had almost seemed as if her mission had been to meet everyone she possibly could!
