Kami squeaked as the other bumped into her, and chuckled good naturedly. "That's alright, it's okay!" she said, trying to dismiss the panic, her eyes drifting to the wisp for a moment. She took Nyxa's hand, smiling. "My name's Kami, and the little guy is Keanu." she said, turning to watch. The sight of the wisp amazed her, she had never seen or met one before. It was quite a sight, and she watched to see how Keanu would react to it.
Keanu, having been occupied with a squeaky red ball, chirruped loudly as he found that the wisp was hovering about him. He was surprised at first, though able to recognize it was another Aerandir, just older than he was. He backed up, watching Luc with just as much curiosity, ruffling his blueish plumage.

Nyxa rocked back on her heels, hands on her hips, "How long have you been on the island? I knew that Keanu's previous guardian had to leave, that was sad. It's good to know that he wasn't displaced for too long." She grinned, turning to watch Lucius with Keanu.
Luc was busy attempting to divebomb Keanu, one of his favorite games when he was a gryphon. It was ineffective, really, since there was no substance to him. He couldn't even play with the toys, and he started to hum in frustration. The only good thing about being a wisp was that he could finally kinda fly!

"A few months, about." she said, smirking a little. "Yes...I think he took it well enough, though, he's a tough little guy." she said, also watching. "Luc certainly is pretty, what was he like before the wisp stage?" she asked curiously. If she didn't hurry up, she was beginning to realize, all the little gryphons would be growing before she and Keanu had the chance to meet them.
Keanu let out a high pitched cry as Luc did so, and batted at him, a bit more surprised to see that he couldn't really touch Luc. This was a baffling concept, and he picked up the squeak toy, squeezing it in his beak, wondering how Luc could put up with being in such a state. He dropped the ball, and took to the air. They could still play tag, perhaps.

Nyxa grinned and tapped her chin with her index finger. "Oh, he was a lovely gryphon. The black panther fur of him had a light iridescent green tint to it. Boldly colored, probably the brightest one out of the first bunch. Yellow-orange headfeathers, cute little black ears. Just perfect, to tell you the truth." She grinned as she reminisced, a soft smile on her lips.
Luc perked slightly when Keanu rose to the air, zipping up and swishing about the rafters. Oooh, this was super, this floating sensation. He never wanted it to end, really. It was much better than being a gryphon, except for the whole.. not touching thing. That was a bit irritating.

"Wow, sounds gorgeous. It's too bad we didn't run across each other sooner." she said, chuckling as she watched Luc's wispy blue form float up towards the ceiling.
Keanu followed the wisp, making assorted chirps, and clicking every once in a while. He adored flying, and was glad to see that he wouldn't be losing the ability after moving through to the next stage of life. He dove at Luc, and fluttered near him, batting lightly at his almost ghost-like tail.

Nyxa nodded, watching the boys play, "Yeah, I'm glad to see that Luc is taking this transition pretty smoothy. Nehanda, she's a child now, was having a bit of a problem with the transition stage. I mean, not being able to touch things bothers Luc sometimes, but he's never really been one to let things get him down, not even when he was a gryphon. I just can't describe how excited I was to see him change, and I'm almost giddy thinking about how he'll look as a baby."
Luc circled Keanu when the gryphon toyed with his wispy tail, a childish giggle erupting from his sheer-like wispy body. Diving back towards the floor in his typical dive-bomb fashion, he tore back up towards the ceiling in delight, moving through Keanu as he 'tagged' him. Ooh, this was fun!

Kami chuckled. "I can imagine how you feel." she said, watching Keanu. She knew she would be plenty excited when Keanu's time came as well. "I wonder how keanu will take it when he changes..." she mused, looking thoughtful.
Keanu squawked as this happened, and chased frantically, determined to tag Luc back again. Despite his stout physique he was still a swift little thing in the air. It was a bit different inside though, so he maintained a lower speed, keeping Luc in his sights.

"Oh, I'm sure he'll do fine. It seems that they're hitting it off rather well, although I'm a bit ashamed to say there are a few gryphons around that Luc has yet to meet." She grunted, "It really shouldn't be this hard for us to socialize, seeing how we're on an island." Chuckling self-consciously, she crossed her arms over her chest.
Luc was impressed at Keanu's flying skills, a tinge of envy striking him. He could never fly like that when he was a gryphon!! Huffing, Luc rose to the ceiling and hovered, pouting a bit.

"I sure hope so....How long will Luc stay like this, anyway?" she asked, watching curiously. She didn't know much about how Aerandir grew, and wasn't aware of what triggered the change from wisp to child. She chuckled at the other comment. "Same here. We've met a couple of the other caretakers, but I really should go out more." she said, rubbing at the back of her neck.
Keanu blinked as Luc stopped, and alighted on a rafter near the downtrodden Luc, chirruping softly, trying to find what was wrong. He folded his wings against his back and sat, watching Luc with soft concern, wondering why he had ended their game so soon. It didn't appear as if their caretakers were getting ready to leave...

Nyxa shrugged, "I really don't know. It happened when he came into contact with a bow, and a lovely jeweled one, at that. He just.. changed right before my very eyes. It was a bit awe-inspiring." She smiled, nodding, "There are many nice folks around here, it shouldn't be hard for the both of you to make friends."
Luc attempted to croon softly at Keanu's concern, reaching forward a chubby-looking wisp of a paw to pat softly against the gryphon's head, though his efforts were wasted. Looking a bit disgusted by himself, he merely floated, mumbling a softly slurred, "S'oookaay."

Kami smiled. "Yes, even though I've only met a few, everyone here is so friendly, or at least the ones I've met so far." she said, watching Keanu and Luc. "Aaaw. Looks like they're getting along okay." she said, finding their actions quite adorable.
Keanu couldn't feel Luc's paw, but he appreciated the gesture nonetheless, and let out a soft chirr, almost like a purring noise. Before taking to the air again, he squeaked, and twisted his head back to nibble at a wing, apparently bothered by an itch of some sort. He let out a chirp as he found the problem, and fixed it immediately, plucking out an old feather from the side of his wing. He blinked as he watched it fall, and swooped down to catch it in mid air. Perhaps they could make a game of this as well.

Nyxa nodded, turning her gaze upon the playing Aerandir. "Yes, they're getting along smashingly." She beamed, watching the feather fall down before Keanu nimbly swooped down to catch it.
Luc soon followed, knowing he wouldn't be able to play as much as he'd like to. He was feeling a bit fatigued, as well, but he wasn't about to pass up a chance to play. When the feather dropped again, Luc moved to catch it, though as it passed through his hand he frowned. Okay, this wasn't so fun. Instead he changed tactics, attempting to whoosh about below the feather, his movements causing a small breeze that lifted the feather into the air again.

Keanu had forgot, but watched as Luc improvised, and chattered shrilly, rooting him on. He helped by nabbing the feather and carrying it higher again before letting it fall, feeling a bit guilty for forgetting about Luc's inability to hold solid things.
Kami chuckled, and watched their game, smiling at how clever Luc was. It was somewhat of a shame they couldn't touch objects, and she hoped the stage didn't last long for the Aerandir.

Nyxa chuckled, remaining quiet and watchful. She knew that Luc tired easily, and she didn't want him to tucker himself out beyond consciousness. It'd be hard to carry around a wisp that you couldn't hold on to.
Luc giggled shakily, repeating his movement when Keanu carried the feather higher and allowed it to fall. Although the feather wouldn't move high, it would move, and Luc considered that a great feat. He began to slow visibly, however, despite the fun he was having.

Keanu blinked, and decided perhaps a rest was in order. He nabbed the feather from the air, and glided towards Kami and Nyxa, glancing back to see if Luc would follow. He landed on a nearby table, giving a muffle chirrup, the feath still held in his beak.
"Aaw, you guys getting tired?" Kami asked, moving over to Keanu. Even though her little gryphon seemed full of energy at times, even he could get worn out sometimes. She had noticed that Luc had become a bit sluggish, and thought perhaps that had been the reason for Keanu's stopping.
