Why is everyone looking at me strangely? Was the first thing Maria thought as she walked around the hallways in school. It took her awhile to figure out the main reason why, which caused her to sigh. There was no doubt everyone knew now, which was a big surprise to her considering it had been top cover story on the news since Sunday night. She was glad Arielle wasn't at school today, or she would have hidden somewhere, probably the library, so that people could avoid her.
No one dared try and say anything to Maria, only quiet whatever they were saying when she walked past. Maria couldn't help but find that annoying as she walked to her locker to get her first few periods of books. Looking at the copy of her schedule inside her locker, today she had History first. She wanted to groan out in annoyance. The class itself was fifty-five minutes long and the teacher droned on in a very boring monotone voice. It was basically torture for her whenever she had the class in the morning. She did fairly well in general, but only because she would have study sessions with Arielle to help her out. Without that, she'd probably do poorly in the class.
As she closed her locker door, she turned around and jumped in surprise when she saw a young boy with square rimmed glasses and a mixture of mousy-moppy dark hair. Freckles faintly decorated his face and he had dark green eyes that could almost seem like they were black. There was no denying the fact that the young boy was very attractive, and as Maria put it, he was one of the "cute-nerds". He smiled warmly at her before looking slightly apologetic.
"K-Keon...," Maria said, after making sure her surprised heart would slow down, "Y-You scared me..."
"I'm so sorry," Keon responded shyly, running his fingers through his head, "I thought that maybe we could walk to class together since we both have it this morning and you know... Talk about later after school."
For a brief second, Maria almost forgot what Keon meant, before the realization dawned on her. That's right... The day out with Keon and my date with Dimitri..., Maria thought, resisting the urge to blush when she had mentioned "date" in her mind. "Oh, alright," Maria said with a sweet smile, "You know this is just the two of us as friends hanging out, right? No romantic stuff going on."
Keon looked just a bit hurt at that and Maria couldn't help but feel guilty for using him like that, but then again, she was going to help him get a girl who would work out for him better than she did. He gave her a small smile and nodded. "Of course... I wouldn't have forgotten that. C'mon, we're going to be late for class."
Maria nodded and followed after him, standing by his side. Her thoughts went back quickly to Dimitri and she wondered if she should've tried to wear something a bit more dressy for that day instead of so casual. She quickly shook the thought away as she and Keon entered their history classroom. I have to make an effort to pay attention today, Maria thought, really wishing they'd watch a video about something more exciting then her teacher's lectures.
Arielle sat quietly in the private library Kedrick showed her. She knew that she couldn't just sit around and sleep in bed all day. But she knew that she could hardly do anything else without possibly injuring her stomach on accident. So, knowing that, her final decision was to probably spend most of the day reading and some other part of the day watching movies. She would of course do homework whenever Maria brought it over to her, but for now, she could relax.
The house was oddly quiet and it made the place seem so lonely and empty. She wondered if this was what it felt like to Kedrick before he met her. With a small sigh, she finished the chapter and continued reading on, not wanting to lose her focus whatsoever.

Can you keep a secret?...
After school, Dimitri headed out of the building, Prim at his side. An unexpected gust of wind tousled the girl's hair, sending it's pale strands whipping around her face. "Wh-where are we going?" She stammered in surprise, and Dimitri looked back at her, smirking.
"To meet a friend of mine, just at the park." He said, kneeling down and unhooking the chain from his bike wheel, taking it off of the schools bike rack. He set the bike on the ground, briefly checking it over to make sure everything was alright. "Okay,: He said, straddling the seat."Technically you're not supposed to do this, but I think it'll be okay." He said, reaching over and touching her wrist, guiding her over. "Stand there, on the extension of the spokes and hang on to me okay?"
Prim looked doubtful, clearly not used to ridding on a bicycle with someone else peddling. "O-okay..." She said softly, stepping up onto the spokes and hesitantly placing her hands on Dimitri back.
"Right then, Ready? We're off." He said with a smirk, starting to peddle. He heard Prim yelp slightly in surprise, loosing her balance slightly and now hanging on to Dimitri's backpack tightly. "Careful." He called lightly, still peddling but slowing down a little so as not to scare her.
A few minutes later, they came up to the park. Prim had relaxed slightly during the ride, learning how to move with the bike so she didn't sway. Dimitri pulled to a stop, using the same chain from before to hook up his bike. Prim dismounted as well, smoothing her skirt and laughing softly, looking up at Dimitri. "You know, it's not so bad once you get used to it." she said with a gentle smile.
Dimitri nodded his head in agreement. "Now all we have to do is wait for my friends." He said, leaning back against a tree.
    But more specifically...Can you keep mine?...

Maria had been waiting for Keon beforehand, having been let out of class early due to the fact her teacher wasn't there and their substitute lost the class assignment. Maria had a chance to quickly call on Arielle and check up to see how she was doing on her own and was glad to know that everything was alright. When Keon finally was let out of his class, Maria hurried over to him and took hold of his hand so they could get through the throngs of many of the students before rushing over to their destination.
"So, what are we going to do exactly on this get together?" Keon asked as they walked towards their destination. They were somewhat exhausted having power walked most of the way and running the other percentage of their travel.
"Meet up with some friends," Maria said breathlessly, eventually coming to a halting stop so that they could breath. She let go of Keon's hand, almost forgetting that she had held it the entire time they were hurrying over. Plus, having their bookbags on them was probably not the greatest plan either. Once she caught her breath, Maria stood straight up and scanned around to see if she could spot Dimitri.
When she did, her heart skipped a beat and she felt herself smile. Gathering control of her emotions, Maria grabbed Keon's hand again and the too of them walked over to Dimitri and the girl that must have been Prim. She waved to him with a bright smile, almost forgetting the fact that she was holding onto Keon's hand when they were walking over. As they got closer, Maria let go of his hand and gave Keon an apologetic smile for having dragged him around so much.
"I hope we aren't late," Maria said after a couple of seconds, looking at Dimitri and feeling her stomach go flop. She then took her eyes over to Prim and smiled at her. "Hi. I'm Maria, a friend of Dimitri's. And this is a good friend of mine, Keon."
Keon smiled shyly, waving to Prim and Keon. His cheeks were flushed but it was hard to tell if it was from their travel over to the park or because of Maria holding his hand.

Dimitri smirked, pushing away from the tree. "There you are!" He called with a grin. "I was beginning to think you had skipped out on me!" Dimitri, walking over to her, trying very, very hard not to be jealous at the sight of her holding Keon's hand. Valiant effort or not, Dimitri was very glad when she let go. Dimitri took Keon in with a sweep of his eyes, the dark hair, glasses, and deep green eyes. He seemed nice, timid even, Dimitri was glad, He would have felt terribly guilty if he had ended up sending a shy defenseless girl like Prim off with a total creep.
Prim smiled, nodding slightly to Keon 'He looks nice...I wonder why Dimitri wanted me to meet him...' She though, a faint blush touching her cheeks.
Dimitri stood shoulder to shoulder with Maria, looking over at her with a smirk. "Well, seeing as this was all your idea to begin with, would you do the honors?" He asked, figuring that Maria would like nothing more than to be the one to revel their little scheme to the unexpecting couple.
But more specifically...Can you keep mine?...

"W-Wait," Keon said, startled when Dimitri had told Maria to explain. She had planned something. What could she have planned? He thought it was just going to be just the two of them, and then everything changed. He saw Maria give him a small apologetic smile before glancing at Prim. She is kinda cute... I wonder what she likes...
"Keon, I apologize for misleading you about today," Maria started, moving some hair behind her ear, "But we have just set you two up on a blind date. Dimitri told me that there was a girl that you'd probably like from his school, so we agreed on this little meeting." Some of it, probably all of it was a sugar coated lie, but there was no way she could explain the complete story to him. "So, whatever you had planned to do with me, Keon, you can now do it with the lovely Prim. And please make sure to have fun."
Keon still looked confused, not sure what he was supposed to feel right now, but he did have a few things fun planned for the day. Let's just hope she likes it.

"Wh-wait what?" Prim stammered in surprise, looking up. She had briefly thought about Keon, wondering what he was like, but she hadn't expected to be set up on a date with him.
Dimitri walked quickly over to Prim, taking her shoulders and guiding her over to Keon. "Don't worry about it, you two are a lot alike, I'm sure you'll have a great time together!" He said with a bright, optimistic smile. He stood the shocked girl next to Keon, stepping back and surveying them as though to see if they looked good together. And indeed they did. Prim was much shorter than Keon, but that was okay, her tiny, petite build made her looked even prettier, and though Keon wasn't especially muscular his height complimented their appearance as a couple even more. Dimitri smirked in satisfaction, tipping his head slightly to the side and thoughtfully pulling on his earlobe. "Yep," He said as though coming to a decision. "You two'll do just fine together."
Prim looked up at Keon, with an apologetic half smile, she hoped he didn't think she had anything to do with this crazy scheme. Now that she thought about it, along with being rather handsome, Keon looked nice, and gentle, she knew he wouldn't try anything funny. "Do we have any choice?" She asked with a shy laugh, her cheeks tinged pink.
But more specifically...Can you keep mine?...

"I guess not," Keon responded with a small shy smile, his pink cheeks seeming to get worse. Maybe it wasn't such a bad thing that he wouldn't get to enjoy the entire time with Maria. "Want to go to the new bookstore? I heard they had a good coffee shop in there." He smiled, trying to look more natural and gently held onto Prim's hand, leading her along the way. If she didn't want to go then he was open to take her wherever she wanted to go.
Watching them walk away, Maria smiled at their handiwork, feeling the same amount of pride she felt from the day she had saved Arielle from the Jonesy situation. She looked up at Dimitri and smiled at him, feeling all nervous again. She pushed more hair behind her ear, even though there was no point to do so. "So, ready to take care of our own plans, Dimitri?"

Prim smiled shyly, looking at the ground as Keon took her hand. At the mention of the book store, she looked up quickly, her pale face glowing with excitement. "I heard about that! I've been wanting to go see what it's like, but I haven't had the time." She said, her voice going quiet again, as though she were embarrassed by her momentary flash of enthusiasm. "I-I would like to go." She said with a small smile, her cheeks once again pink and her voice soft.
Dimitri smirked as the two of them walked off. They looked natural together, they would certainly make a cute couple and their interests where similar enough. Dimitri briefly wondered if he and Maria looked that way. He couldn't imagine that they did, but still, he hoped that maybe someone would notice.
Dimitri looked up, shaken out of the clouds by Maria's question. He smiled at her easily, nodding his head. "Right." He said, his smirk widening. "I don't know how comfortable you are on a bike, but I brought mine, I'll be easier to get around that way." He offered, leading her over to the bike rack and unhooking his, setting it up. Dimitri secretly hoped that Maria would like the idea, Maybe, if he was lucky, while they were riding she would put her arms around his waist to hang on. But he was fantasizing again, a small smirk touching his lips.
But more specifically...Can you keep mine?...

"I'd say walking would be the easiest, but since you were the one that brought the ride, I guess I have to follow along with you," Maria said with a teasing smile, following along behind Dimitri. She was glad her backpack wasn't too heavy because she had no idea how that would effect their ride. She was also happy her backpack was one of those one strapped messenger backpacks that went across her back. It was a miracle how she was able to get most of her books in the backpack anyway.
Looking at the bike, she wondered how in the world the two of them were going to ride on it when the realization hit her. She felt her cheeks warm up a bit and looked at Dimitri somewhat shyly. "So... How are we doing this again?"

Dimitri grinned, looking up at her from where he knelt on the ground, the gravel crunching slightly under his knee caps. "Well," He said, standing up and brushing the dirt off of his jeans. "I sit here on the seat and peddle, you stand on these extensions and hang on tightly." Dimitri said tapping the extension of the spokes as he talked. "Don't fret, it's really not that hard, I'm sure you'll get used to it." Dimitri straddled the bike, catching sight of some suborn dirt that hadn't wanted to come off. Like Maria, Dimitri had forgotten to dress very nicely for today. He was wearing jeans with a small hole in one knee, a plain, slightly stained t-shirt, and a midnight blue jacket. He looked up at Maria with a confident smile, tossing some of his dark hair out of his eyes. "Come one, just give it a try, I'm sure you'll enjoy it."
But more specifically...Can you keep mine?...

Maria listened to Dimitri's explanation and continued looking at the bike. She knew that it didn't sound hard, but she knew it was a bit unsafe. None of them had helmets so if something had happened, they could both be hurt. She scoffed at the thought immediately after it came into her mind. She trusted Dimitri to be a safe bicyclist, and there was no way he would get either of them into any kind of danger.
Looking back at Dimitri, Maria felt herself get lost in Dimitri's eyes and smiled in return at his confident smile. She still couldn't deny the fact that he had a charming smile. It brought something out from Dimitri, what it was, Maria wasn't sure, but it added to his charm either way. After a couple of seconds of silence, she shrugged her shoulders and nodded. "Alright, alright," Maria said, raising her hands in defense, giggling, "I'll give it a try. Just don't get us hurt, chico."

Dimitri's face light up, his smile broadening. "Of course I wouldn't let anything happen!" He cried in playful indignation. "Besides," He said, tipping his chin up and looking at the sky. "The ice cream parlor isn't to far from here, just a few blocks into town..." Dimitri smiled slightly, feeling the warmth of the sun on his face. It was a beautiful day, the sky was a soft light blue, pale wisps of clouds swept across it and the breeze that rustled the treetops was warm and calming. 'It's a perfect day for a date...' Dimitri thought. He smiled slightly to himself, weather he was aware of it or not, Dimitri had begun to think of this day as more than just an appointment. He had become genuinely attached to Maria, and he hope that she felt the same.

"Alright, alright," Maria said with a light smile, "I believe you on this. I just wanted to remind you because I am a very delicate creature after all." She finished her sentence with a playful hair toss, her dark russet locks going up and down, catching a bit of the sun. She giggled and enjoyed the soft breeze of the beautiful day. The thought of ice cream made her smile and she already began planning which flavor she would get. She remembered the days when she was younger and she and her brothers would challenge each other to see who could eat the most ice cream without getting a brain freeze. Of course they ended up getting scolded by their mother when Maria ended having a really bad brain freeze that made her sick.
I'm glad I get to spend the day with him, Maria thought with a soft smile. She looked over at Dimitri who was smiling and spacing out again. Her smile grew just a little more and she tugged lightly on his sleeve. "Hey. Earth to Dimitri. We ready to go get some ice cream or are you going to continue staring at the clouds?" She giggled, her face brightening up and she wondered what had made him smile like that.

Dimitri shook his head sharply, looking at her with a sheepish smile, a faint tinge of blush touching his cheeks. "Sorry, lost in thought." He apologized meekly, still smiling and leaning back slightly in the bike seat. He glanced over the outfit Maria had chosen for the day. Casual? Yes, but Dimitri didn't really mind, he though it looked very nice on her. Of course, with the way she had been on his mind recently, anything would look nice on her. "Well then, if you want ice cream, you'd better hop on or we're not going anywhere 'cause I'm not leaving without you." He said with a smirk, his hands dangling by his sides. Dimitri shifted himself slightly, grabbing the handle bars and reaching back with one hand to tap the spokes with a finger tip.

"Of course you were," Maria said, pretending like she didn't believe him even though she knew he meant the truth. She felt herself blush again as Dimitri glanced at what she was wearing. Did he like it at all? Could there be something wrong with it? She was basically a nice deep purple tunic with gold sequins around the neck, gray skinny jeans, and black boots. Before her mind started panicking about her clothing choices and starting to become more self-conscious because of Dimitri, Dimitri had caught her attention. She nodded, placing her feet on the spokes and wrapping her arms around Dimitri's waist so that she was completely secure.
"Thank you for being gentleman enough to not leave me behind," Maria said softly, noticing how nice Dimitri smelt with another blush, "I-I'm ready to go."
