I need the answers to inane questions... Patrick watched Taran go, then smiled at Justin. He still felt a little ill, but knowing that he'd find out what the problems could be soon helped.
"Where do you want me to start? Oh - and you need to tell me about the man you like, in case we can help!" This time he smiled properly, heading for the chair.

"I feel like an idiot for liking him, just because I saw the way he handles animals and he was really sweet. But to people in general- well, he doesn't talk. At all. Like, two words max. And he doesn't even look at me! He;s on sports teams and all the girls like him, but anyhow, some girl asked him, and he said no flat out, like he didn't even have to think about it." Justin said. I mean, things aren't always as they seem..." he patted Justin's shoulder. Then he grinned. "Shall we do some snooping? We can watch him from afar... or you could try talking to him and I'll watch?"

I need the answers to inane questions... "Miserable..." Before he knew he was about to say it, the word was out of his mouth. Then he shook his head and smiled. "Not entirely. I got to watch my sister - Emma's the cutest thing in the world, my baby sister. Not that you can tell any of our kittens that, 'cause they'd never forgive you. But since I love them heaps, they forgive minor things like my not seeing them for days at a time.
They lived with the village doctor, 'cause my mum didn't want them in our house. My dad's a blacksmith, but I always prefer wood to metal..."
The human broke off, blushing. "S-sorry. Didn't mean to babble..."

I need the answers to inane questions... "A blacksmith is someone who works with metal, moulding it into things like horseshoes and swords and things like that. Metal cuts better than wood does..."

Justin nodded- it made sense. "So- you carve wood- with knives, huh? We don't usually carve- we kind of- mold... I guess. But I can't do any of it- I'm only half, so I haven't got any powers. That's why- well, the guy I like- he said, once, that he liked people that made things. And I can't do any jobs, only paint a little bit. So- could you teach me how to do things the human way? Just so I can have- something I can make?"
