Aimee was thoroughly confused. One minute, she was enjoying the sun on her back with Lilly's intoxicating smell so near here, the next, she was on her back, a motorbike not a meter above her face. She brushed first herself free of the gravel of the ground and then Lilly before turned an angry eye to her demonic slave.
"I think I speak for both of us when I say what the <********> is going on?"
"Vincent? What're you...Aimee, what the hell is going on?"
"Not now, Lill."
Aimee was turning away, to speak to Vincent. Somehow, she'd missed him running off; Lilly pulled her back around, almost roughly.
"Since when do you keep secrets from me?"
She could look Lilly in the eye.
"Never."
"...Liar."
Lilly shook her head. She knew Aimee too well for the girl to try and lie to her.

Seth was shaking, he had come with in inches of taking Aimee and Lilly's heads off. He turned on the bike and saw Vincent, he was glowering and that made Seth want to hide. Libby was there though and he fought down the fear of the Water Demon and got off the St. Claire.
"Vincent I'm sorry, I didn't realize that the bike would go that far." He stopped at Libby's shoulder and watched the person who could very likely end him.

"You could control your human a little better. Keep him out of trouble, and from trying to kill my charge. Next time I won't hesitate, I'll rip his head off." Vincent turned, but it was odd, as if his body moved twice, he turned to face Lilly and Aimee and then the rest of him reacted. He came back over to Aimee and wrapped his arms around her.
"Are you okay, are you both okay?" He looked over a Lilly. He was barely controlling the rage in his stomach. He had heard Aimee's and Lilly's short exchange and Vincent slipped into Aimee's mind.
'I'll tell her when we get back to the room. We'll leave tonight so you two can talk on the way down there.'
"Come on let's get back to the dorm and grab our stuff. I wanna get down there early now, just to get away from Libby and Seth. Dangerous couple they are." Vincent looped an arm around Lilly's waist and pulled both of them along.

Libby ignored Seth's pleas and focused on what Vincent was telling her. It was your standard warning and did not require an actual response in her opinion. So she turned around and punched Seth in his shoulder. "You had to show off."
The demon walked past him. She mounted the bike, releasing the unnecessary darkness from her center so that her eyes would revert to normal by the time that Seth hopped on behind her. Apparently, one of those women behind them was his charge. They seemed familiar. Maybe it was them that she had met at the club last night. "Hmm, let's go, Seth. You don't want to push your luck with Vincent and I don't feel like loosing a sort-of-friend. By the way, you lost."

Seth
Seth didn't move for a second then he turned and strode over to the bike. She was sitting on like she was going to drive, funny thing was, it wasn't starting.
"I haven't put your biometrics in to the bike's computer. You can't start it, move it, or even turn the handle bars." He sat down on the back and reached out, slid his hands under hers. The bike started at the touch of a button and he pulled the throttle back just a bit. Perfectly balanced even with two people on it.
"I didn't mean to do that. I forgot how light I made her, and took the jump at full speed." He let the bike idle next to Raiths, the two contrasting nicely.
"I'm sorry." Seth leaned back and breathed out slowly, the shaking finally subsiding.

Libby sighed at his apology. "Yeah, well you're alive at least. Remember that the next time. You can't always be reckless." With that said, she slid off the St. Claire, heading for the side door to the dorms. She had come this close to fighting a fellow demon to save him. This bracelet business was screwing her over. "Anyway, catch you after your next class. We'll have to leave early enough to make it to Miami. Call me when you're ready." She gave him a halfway smile, a wave and walked inside with the intention of heading for the bed in their room.

"We're fine."
'Thank you.' Aimee walked on the other side of Vincent,near him but not quite touching. Lilly hardly seemed to notice they were walking, she was so wrapped up in her mind and sulking. Aimee let them into the flat and pulled her bulging back onto her shoulder.

Seth felt like dirt once more, and then realized that this would affect Libby, and felt worse, an endless loop that led him to sitting on the steps to the building his next class was at. Once again he had ******** up, dragged Libby into it and pissed her off. Once again he had proved that not only could he not do anything right he was a loser in the extreme. ******** dumbass, caught up in the race and forgot to realize how much lighter the bike was. He only needed half the power St. Claire put out to make the jump and there he was pulling all the way back and going almost twice as far, nearly killing people protected by supernatural beings. Seth pulled out one of the knives he carried and fingered the blade slowly contemplating restarting the destructive habit of five years ago. The lines across his forearms were testament to how bad he had been at one point.

Vincent let Aimee go as soon as the door closed, he sat Lilly down and squat right there holding her hands and looked up into her face.
"Alright Lilly, I have something to tell you, something I asked Aimee to keep from you till after Saturday so you wouldn't freak out and stress. It was my secret, and I asked her to keep it, so don't get mad at her." Vincent breathed out slowly and then looked back up.
"I am about five million years old according to the the standard calendar. I am a demon according to most humans, though I prefer Water elemental. At one point I was known as Poseidon and Neptune." He let this sink in before continuing.
"I'm positive you know who they are, cause you've seen paintings of them, and they are real life portraits of me in various forms." His body shifted to prove that he could. He was first the Vincent she knew and then he was Jason, Aimee's now dead ex.
"I was free till just before the Roman's turned to Christianity, and I was captured, by a witch." He now pointed to the massive jewel inset in the ring around Aimee's finger.
"Forever bound to that Sapphire till I learn the error of my ways and repent, duty bound to protect it wearer." Vincent stopped there, and waited for the denial and the yelling. No one would hear, he had layered the room in a sphere of water to stop the sound.

Aimee watched as the various looks passed over and through Lilly's face: distrust to disbelief to sheer horror when Vincent began to shift. She looked past him to Aimee when Vincent had finished.
"...Is it true, Aimee? Is he...it...some kind...of...of chattel?"
"Yes. And I'm sorry we had to lie to you, Lilly, but I was afraid you take it the wrong way."
Lilly nodded noncommittally and turned back to Vincent.
"'Learn the error of my ways and repent?' So not only are you chattel, but you're evil chattel on top of that. Aimee sure knows how to pick them, doesn't she?"
Lilly shook her head and scooted back away from Vincent, not wanting to be near the demon.

Chattel, ******** great, I'm just a piece of property. Aimee you don't own me, that ******** ring does and I'd rather go along with the ring then take the punishment.
"Alright then, you can say what you want about me being evil, but I believe we did agree who was more evil this morning. Everything I used to do was to protect my oceans." Vincent got up and stalked into through the door, it didn't even open, he just splashed into it and formed together on the other side.
'The truck is here, I'll be waiting.' Vincent walked away, pissed off and then he passed Seth's room and Libby was there. He was tempted to go in there and beat the s**t of her, cause he could. The advantages when you were older than someone else. He continued on his way after a moment of letting his rage glower in front of that door. She'd get the message.

'I'm pretty sure ******** virgins to death doesn't qualify as protecting your oceans. Just saying.' Aimee didn't say it out loud though; they were trying to convince Lilly that Vincent was an alright demon, not just a liar. Lilly jumped when Vincent basically phased through the door. She dropped her head into her hands, pressing the heels of her palms into her eyes.
"I feel like I'm in one of your novels, Aim. Like the whole world took a step to the left and I didn't go with it."
"I know, sweetie. But don't worry, you get used to it. I did. And look at it this way: he can cook, which is more then either of us can say."
That drew a tired smile from Lilly and Aimee already felt a thousand times better for deceiving her friend, just to see that one little tilt of the lips. She grabbed at one of Lilly's hands, pulling on it gently.
"Come on, the car's downstairs and waiting for us. We have a long way to go tonight, plus the stop to get our boards."
Lilly grabbed her things and followed Aimee out the door and down to the parking lot below where Vincent was sulking against the hood of the F350. Aimee gave Vincent a quick little peck on the cheek while Lilly tossed their suff in the back.
"Thank you for being so patient today, Vincent. You're not so bad, for an evil, water sucking creature."
She grinned.

Libby
Libby had been lying on the bed, halfway asleep, when it happened. Her right side clinched as if she had been stabbed in the gut with a rusty, old blade. However, she could not pull out of the feeling quite easily, falling back into a despair that was not hers. The only clue to the true owner was that it reminded her of when she had jammed Seth against the wall. Had she been too hard on him? No, he needed a scolding and he got one. This is not her fault. However, this amount of self-loathing pressure could stop a heart given enough time. Methodically, she searched the minds of those outisde till she found Seth's.
Seth! It came out as a shout but was followed by quick and uneasy panting. I'm not angry with you. That could have happened with anyone. Don't beat yourself up about it. In fact, I'm pissed with myself. I should have kept track of you and stopped you before you attempted the crazy stunt. We all make mistakes. Don't do something stupid to make up for another one, please.

'Did back then, kept those who sacrificed their girls to me in line. World would have been a lot different if they had fished the ocean to death. I kept the population balanced and then made sure the humans had rules.' Vincent wrapped an arm around Aimee for a second and held her still.
"I'm still your Guardian first, that means emotionally and physically. Now you love her, so that means my protection extends to her, somewhat. Doesn't mean I won't get mad if she uses that word again." Vincent kissed her cheek and let her go moving faster than the human eye could follow and slid into the driver's seat of the truck. the massive engine would normally run on diesel, but Vincent had modified it to run on his power, to try and make Lilly happy. It rumbled to life, the fuel gauge reading empty.
"How bout that for a perk of having a demon on hand Lilly. Engines that run off my power instead of fossil fuels?" He chuckled as he dropped it into gear and roared away from the campus.
"Where's this storage unit?"

Seth
Seth kept twirling the blade despite the warnings from Libby. He still felt horrible, still guilty and still on the fringe of self mutilation. She didn't help much, but said the same stuff that had been spouted to him five years ago when he had sank into that depression. There was only one bright spot now though. He did technically have someone to go home to and talk to, someone that probably didn't care, but at least was a better pretender than the others. Seth placed the knife back in its place, stood up and checked his watch, said ******** it to class and walked back to the dorms.
Ten minutes later he was in the room, staring at the prone form of Libby, she was still there.
"Let's go, Miami and the weekend awaits." Seth grabbed a bag and pushed in a few clothes for the weekend, he didn't plan on coming back till late Sunday.
"I win that race and we can get a suite at a hotel on the beach, the best room service and party all weekend." Seth changed out of the tame clothing he wore during school and into a all black suit, cargoes, a black hoodie with a slipknot shirt over top. He tied his hair back with a black leather thong and was ready.
